Good parables about the meaning of life. About living with morality. Parable about life

The collection contains parables about life with morality, wise, long and short:

All in your hands (eastern parable)

Long ago, in an ancient city, there lived a Master surrounded by disciples. The most capable of them once thought: "Is there a question that our Master could not answer?" He went to a flowering meadow, caught the most beautiful butterfly and hid it between his palms. Butterfly paws clung to his hands, and the student was ticklish. Smiling, he approached the Master and asked:
- Tell me, which butterfly is in my hands: alive or dead?
He firmly held the butterfly in his closed palms and was ready at any moment to squeeze them for the sake of his truth.
Without looking at the student's hands, the Master replied:
- All in your hands.

  • Full bank. The professor of philosophy, standing in front of his audience, took a five-liter glass jar and filled it with stones, each at least three centimeters in diameter.
    - Is the jar full? the professor asked the students.
“Yes, it’s full,” the students replied.
Then he opened the package with peas and poured out its contents into a large jar, shaking it a little. Peas took a free place between the stones.
    - Is the jar full? the professor asked the students again.
    “Yes, full,” they replied.
Then he took a box filled with sand and poured it into a jar. Naturally, the sand occupied a completely existing free space and closed everything.
Once again, the professor asked the students, is the jar full? They answered: yes, and this time definitely, it is full.
Then from under the table he took a mug of water and poured it into the jar to the last drop, soaking the sand.
    The students laughed.
    - And now I want you to understand that the bank is your life. Stones are the most important things in your life: family, health, friends, your children - everything that is necessary for your life to still remain complete even if everything else is lost. Peas are things that have become important for you personally: work, home, car. Sand is everything else, little things.
If you first fill the jar with sand, there will be no room left for peas and stones. And also in your life, if you spend all your time and all your energy on the little things, there is no room for the most important things. Do what makes you happy: play with your children, spend time with your spouse, meet friends. There will always be time to work, clean the house, fix and wash the car. First of all, take care of stones, that is, the most important things in life; determine your priorities: the rest is just sand.
Then the student raised her hand and asked the professor, what is the significance of water?
    The professor smiled.
    - I'm glad you asked me about it. I did this simply to prove to you that no matter how busy your life is, there is always a little room for idle idleness.
  • How much does a glass of water weigh? The professor picked up a glass of water, pulled it forward and asked his students:
How much do you think this glass weighs?
    The audience whispered animatedly.
    - Approximately 200 grams! No, 300 grams, perhaps! Or maybe all 500! – began to be distributed answers.
“I really won't know for sure until I weigh him. But now it is not necessary. My question is this: what happens if I hold the glass like this for a few minutes?
    - Nothing!
“Indeed, nothing terrible will happen,” the professor replied. - And what will happen if I hold this glass in my outstretched hand, for example, for two hours?
Your arm will start to hurt.
    What if it's all day?
“Your hand will go numb, you will have a severe muscular disorder and paralysis. You may even have to go to the hospital,” said one of the students.
    - Do you think the weight of the glass will change from the fact that I just hold it all day?
    - No! students answered in confusion.
    - What should be done to fix this?
Just put the glass on the table! one student said cheerfully.
    - Exactly! the professor replied cheerfully. “So it is with all life's difficulties. Think about some problem for a few minutes and it will be next to you. Think about it for a few hours and it will suck you in. If you think all day, it will paralyze you. You can think about the problem, but as a rule it does not lead to anything. Her "weight" will not decrease. Action is the only way to deal with a problem. Solve it, or put it aside. There is no point in carrying heavy stones in your soul that will paralyze you.
  • Most valuable. One person in childhood was very friendly with an old neighbor.
But as time went on, college and hobbies appeared, then work and personal life. Every minute the young man was busy, and he did not have time to remember the past, or even to be with loved ones.
Once he learned that a neighbor had died - and suddenly remembered: the old man taught him a lot, trying to replace the boy's deceased father. Feeling guilty, he came to the funeral.
In the evening, after the burial, the man entered the empty house of the deceased. Everything was the same as many years ago ...
Here are just a small golden box, in which, according to the old man, was kept the most valuable thing for him, disappeared from the table. Thinking that one of her few relatives had taken her, the man left the house.
However, two weeks later he received the package. Seeing the neighbor's name on it, the man shuddered and opened the box.
Inside was the same golden box. It contained a gold pocket watch engraved with "Thank you for the time you spent with me."
And he realized that the most valuable thing for the old man was the time spent with his little friend.
Since then, the man tried to devote as much time as possible to his wife and son. Life is not measured by the number of breaths. It is measured by the number of moments that make us hold our breath. Time is slipping away from us every second. And it needs to be spent right now.
  • Parable. Happiness and unhappiness are relative. Two people ended up in prison in the same cell. They were in the same conditions, but one of them was unhappy, and the other, oddly enough, happy.
    - Why are you so sad? the happy man asked the unfortunate man.
    - What's there to be happy about? No luck for me. Until recently, I was free and rested at a resort, and there, you know, it’s much more interesting than here, ”the unfortunate man answered and asked in turn:“ Why are you so happy?
“You see,” said the happy one, “until recently I was in another prison, where living conditions are much worse, but here, compared to what it was, it’s just a resort. We all dream of getting here, but only I was lucky. So how can I not rejoice? Everything in the world is relative and is known in comparison. If you want to be happy, compare your current situation not with what is better, but with what could be worse.
  • Sculptor and his creation. In one very famous and crowded park there was a stone. Such a simple stone. Nothing remarkable. And then, one day, a great sculptor walked by. He saw a stone. Came closer. Walked around it several times. And he left in thought.
After a while, the sculptor returned to that park, but already took his tools with him. And then the magic began. The creator sculpted a sculpture from stone. He worked tirelessly and spared no effort. And when he finished his work, those around him froze in delight:
    - It's necessary! What a beauty!!! And before there was just an unremarkable stone! - said one.
    — Yes, this is a great work of a talented sculptor! others exclaimed.
Praise poured in from all sides.
    And the sculptor said:
    - What do you! I didn't do anything special. This sculpture has always been in this stone. I just removed the excess.
  • Footprints in the sand (Christian parable). One day a man had a dream. He dreamed that he was walking along a sandy shore, and next to him was the Lord. Pictures from his life flashed in the sky, and after each of them he noticed two chains of footprints in the sand: one from his feet, the other from the feet of the Lord.
As the last picture of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. And he saw that often only one chain of footprints stretched along his life path. He also noticed that these were the most difficult and unhappy times in his life.
He became very sad and began to ask the Lord:
    - Didn't You tell me: if I follow Your path, You will not leave me. But I noticed that during the most difficult times of my life, only one chain of footprints stretched across the sand. Why did You leave me when I needed You the most? The Lord answered:
    - My sweet, sweet child. I love you and will never leave you. When there were sorrows and trials in your life, only one chain of footprints stretched along the road. Because in those days I carried you in my arms.
  • Taste of life. One person certainly wanted to become a disciple of a true Master and, having decided to check the correctness of his choice, asked the Master the following question:
    - Can you explain to me what is the purpose of life?
    "I can't," was the answer.
    - Then at least tell me - what is its meaning?
    - I can not.
    - And can you say something about the nature of death and about life on the Other Side?
    - I can not.
The disappointed visitor left. The disciples were confused: how could their Master appear in such an unsightly light?
The Master reassured them by saying:
    - What is the use of knowing the purpose and meaning of life if you have never tasted it? Better to eat cake than talk about it.
  • Dream. While flying the plane on one of the routes, the pilot turned to his friend-partner:
    - Look down at this. beautiful lake. I was born not far from him, over there is my village.
He pointed to a small village, which, like a perch, nestled in the hills near the lake, and remarked:
    - I was born there. As a child, I often sat by the lake and fished. Fishing was my favorite pastime. But when I was a kid fishing in the lake, there were always airplanes in the sky. They flew over my head, and I dreamed of the day when I could become a pilot myself and fly a plane. This was my only dream. Now she is fulfilled.
And now every time I look down at this lake and dream of the time when I retire and go fishing again. Because my lake is so beautiful ...
  • To be youreself. One day the Gardener came to his garden and found that all his flowers, trees and bushes were dying.
The oak explained that it was dying, because it could not be as tall as the Pine ... The gardener found the Pine defeated: she bent under the weight of the thought that she could not produce grapes like the Vine ... And the Vine died because she could not bloom like the Rose ... The rose was crying, because it was not as strong and powerful as the Oak ...
Then he found one plant - Freesia, blooming and beautiful as never before ...
The gardener asked: “How is it? You grow up in the middle of this withered and gloomy garden, and you look so healthy?”
The beauty replied: “I don’t know ... Perhaps I always thought that when you planted me, you wanted exactly Freesia ... If you wanted to have another Oak or Rose in the garden, you would have planted them ...
Then I said to myself: I will try to be Freesia as well as I can…”
  • Am I living right? A priest and a businessman are traveling in the same compartment on the train. The businessman immediately opened his laptop and began to work with documents. The priest looked at him, thought, then said:
    - My son, why don't we take a walk to the dining car, see what's on the menu?
    - No, father, I'm not hungry.
The priest goes to the restaurant alone. An hour later, he returns happy and smiling, carrying a bottle of expensive cognac in his hand.
    - My son, why don't we try this five-star drink?
    - No, father, I'm sorry, I don't drink.
The priest pours himself half a glass of cognac, savoring it, slowly drinking it. He wipes his lips, goes out into the corridor. Fifteen minutes later he comes back.
    - My son, two young laywomen are traveling one compartment from us. Maybe we'll visit them, talk about the high?
    - No, father, I'm married, and I have to work with documents.
The priest takes a bottle of cognac from the table and leaves. Returns already in the morning, happy as a March cat. The businessman who has been working all this time looks up at him.
    - Tell me, holy father, how is it? I don't drink, I don't smoke, I keep my moral character. I work like an ox. Am I living the wrong way?
    The priest sighs.
    - That's right, my son. But in vain ...
  • Cups of coffee. A group of graduates of a prestigious university, successful, having made a wonderful career, came to visit their old professor. During the visit, the conversation turned to work: graduates complained about numerous difficulties and life problems.
Having offered coffee to his guests, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a coffee pot and a tray filled with a variety of cups: porcelain, glass, plastic, crystal. Some were simple, others expensive.
When the graduates took apart the cups, the professor said:
    - Please note that all the beautiful cups were dismantled, while the simple and cheap ones remained. And although it is normal for you to want only the best for yourself, but this is the source of your problems and stress. Realize that the cup alone does not make the coffee better. Most often, it is simply more expensive, but sometimes it even hides what we drink. In reality, all you wanted was just coffee, not a cup. But you deliberately chose the best cups, and then looked at who got which cup.
Now think: life is coffee, and work, money, position, society are cups. They are just tools for maintaining and maintaining Life. What cup we have does not determine or change the quality of our Life. Sometimes, concentrating only on the cup, we forget to enjoy the taste of the coffee itself. Most happy people- these are not those who have all the best, but those who extract all the best from what they have.
  • What's the point? One evening, a belated traveler knocked on the sage's door. The sage invited him to the house, treated him to a simple dinner, they started talking.
    - Listen! the guest said. - The fame of your wisdom has reached our lands. You know a lot. Can you explain to me why a person lives in this world, what is the meaning of life?
    – What do you think about it yourself? the sage asked.
I have thought about this a lot, but have not found an answer. Every day I do the same thing: I work, eat, sleep, rest… The day turns into night, after which the same day comes again. Weeks, months, years go by. After winter comes summer, then winter again. I find happiness - and again I lose it. Everything revolves in some kind of meaningless circle. It doesn't make any sense to me.
The sage, without saying anything, led the questioner to a large, measuredly ticking clock, and opened the door of the mechanism. Inside there were many wheels that turned - some faster, others slower - meshing with teeth one after another and setting the arrows in motion.
“Look,” the sage broke the silence, “this wheel… or this one. They keep spinning in the same place. What do you think is the point of spinning one wheel?
  • Your cross (Christian parable). One person seemed to have a very hard life. And one day he went to God, told about his misfortunes and asked him:
    - Can I choose a different cross for myself?
God looked at the man with a smile, led him into the vault, where there were crosses, and said:
    - Choose.
A man entered the vault, looked and was surprised: "There are no crosses here - small, large, medium, heavy, and light." For a long time a man walked around the vault, looking for the smallest and lightest cross, and, finally, he found a small, small, light, light cross, approached God and said:
    - God, can I have this one?
“Yes, you can,” God replied. - This is your own and is. (A parable about the meaning of life)
  • A parable about peace in the heart. The master said: “In my youth, I often went alone to the lake and meditated. I had a small boat and could swim and think for hours. One day at dawn, as the night slowly turned into morning, I sat with my eyes closed and meditated.
Suddenly, someone's boat hit mine and broke all this morning harmony. How it pissed me off! I was about to scold the owner of the boat, but I opened my eyes and saw that the boat was empty. I had no one to take my anger out on. So I just closed my eyes and tried to find harmony in myself again.
When the sun rose, I found peace in myself. The empty boat became my teacher. Since then, if someone tries to offend me, I just say to myself: “And this boat is also empty.”
  • Glass in outstretched hand. The professor began his lesson by taking a glass with a small amount of water in his hand. He held it up so that everyone could see it and asked the students:
How much do you think this glass weighs?
    - 50 grams, 100 grams, 125 grams, - the students answered.
"I really won't know until I weigh it," said the professor, "but my question is: what would happen if I held it, as I do now, for a few minutes?"
    “Nothing,” the students said.
    - Well, what would happen if I held it, as it is now, for an hour? asked the professor.
"Your hand would start to hurt," said one of the students.
    - You're right, but what would happen if I held it all day?
“Your hand would go numb, you would have a severe muscular disorder and paralysis, and you would have to go to the hospital just in case.
    - Very good. But while we were discussing here, has the weight of the glass changed? asked the professor.
    - No.
    - And what makes the hand hurt and causes muscle breakdown?
    The students were puzzled.
What do I need to do to fix this? the professor asked again.
"Put down the glass," one of the students said.
    - Exactly! - said the professor. - WITH life problems always so. Just think about them for a few minutes and they are with you. Think about them a little longer and they start to itch. If you think even longer, they will paralyze you. You can't do anything.
It is important to think about the problems in life, but it is even more important to be able to put them off: at the end of the working day, the next day. So you do not get tired, wake up every day fresh and strong. And you can manage any problem, any kind of challenge that comes with you along the way.
  • Fragile gifts. Once a wise old man came to a village and stayed to live. He loved children and spent a lot of time with them. He also liked to give them gifts, but he gave only fragile things. No matter how hard the children tried to be neat, their new toys often broke. The children were upset and wept bitterly. Some time passed, the sage again gave them toys, but even more fragile ones.
One day, the parents could not stand it and came to him:
“You are wise and wish only the best for our children. But why do you give them such gifts? They try their best, but the toys still break and the children cry. But the toys are so beautiful that it is impossible not to play with them.
    - Quite a few years will pass, - the old man smiled, - and someone will give them his heart. Maybe this will teach them to handle this priceless gift a little more carefully?

Once a man came to God, he complained about his boring life and said that he was lonely on this beautiful planet. God began to think about how to create a woman, because he spent all the material on creating a man? God did not want to refuse a man, after reflection, he set about creating a woman and also invented.

He took the bright, beautiful rays of the sun, all the colors of the morning bewitching dawn, the melancholy of the pensive moon, the beautiful becoming of a swan, the tenderness of a playful kitten, the grace of a dragonfly, the gentle warmth of caressing fur, the insane attraction of a magnet. When all this was collected in one image, before him appeared perfect creation incredible beauty, she was not adapted to life on earth.
To prevent the cloying of this creature, he added the twinkling of cold stars, windy inconstancy, tears of clouds, fox cunning, fly importunity, shark greed, tigress jealousy, wasp vindictiveness, opium dope and filled her with life. As a result, the charm itself, a real sweet woman, appeared in the world.
God gave this creature to a man, and strongly said: - take it as it is, and do not even try to remake it!

footprints in the sand

Once a man had a dream that he was walking along a sandy shore, and next to him was the Lord. And the man began to remember the events of his life. He remembered joyful ones and noticed two chains of footprints in the sand, his own and the Lord's. I remembered misfortunes - and saw only one. Then the man became sad and began to ask the Lord: “Didn’t You tell me: if I follow Your path, You will not leave me?” Why, then, in the most difficult times of my life, only one chain of footprints stretched across the sand? Why did You leave me when I needed You the most? The Lord replied, “I love you and have never left you. Just at the time of troubles and trials, I carried you in my arms.

Parable about happiness

God molded a man out of clay, and he had an unused piece left.
- What else to blind you? God asked.
“Blind me happiness,” the man asked.
God did not answer, and only put the remaining piece of clay in the man's palm.

Taina love

A long time ago there lived an old man. He lived in an old church.
Children often came to the temple to play. The most mischievous was a boy named Taro.
One day, when he was playing on the steps of the temple, three sparrows flew to him, and one of them said:
- The greatest thing in this world is the Sun. The sun makes our world so beautiful.
But people who are accustomed to its light perceive the sun as a common occurrence.
Hearing this, the second sparrow said:
- No, the greatest thing in this world is water. There is no life without water. But people are so accustomed to its availability that they do not do justice to it.
And finally, the third sparrow spoke:
- What you said is true. Both the sun and water are wonderful gifts. But the most valuable thing on earth, which people don’t even think about, whose generosity they don’t even notice, is air. Without it, we would have died.
After listening to the conversation of sparrows, Taro thought. He never felt grateful to either the air, or the water, or the sun... The boy ran to the old man and told him about what he had heard. He was sad that people were so ignorant that little birds were wiser than people.
The old man smiled kindly and said:
- I congratulate you on your great discovery. You are right. People have lost sight of the most important thing in life. But all their mistakes can be forgiven if they learn Love. There are vices in people, but it is impossible to get rid of them, even by gathering all the will into a fist.
In order to exorcise vices, God gave people Love. Only Love and its mysterious power allow people to remain the pinnacle of divine creation.

Only in Love is there perfection, only in Love is there development.
Love is the way to God. God does not show himself to us, instead of himself, he sends us Love.
Thanks to Love, people forgive each other, perceive each other and create a beautiful world.

One day, a man walking down the street accidentally saw a butterfly cocoon. He watched for a long time as a butterfly tried to emerge through a small gap in the cocoon. A lot of time passed, the butterfly seemed to have abandoned its efforts, and the gap remained just as small. It seemed that the butterfly had done everything it could, and it had no more strength for anything else.

Then the man decided to help the butterfly: he took a penknife and cut the cocoon. Butterfly came out immediately. But her body was weak and feeble, her wings were undeveloped and barely moved. The man continued to watch, thinking that the butterfly's wings were about to spread and get stronger, and it would be able to fly. Nothing happened! For the rest of its life, the butterfly dragged along the ground its weak body, its unspread wings.

She was never able to fly. And all because the person, wanting to help her, did not understand that the effort to get out through the narrow crack of the cocoon is necessary for the butterfly, so that the liquid from the body passes into the wings and so that the butterfly can fly. Life forced the butterfly with difficulty to leave this shell so that it could grow and develop.

Sometimes it is effort that we need in life. If we were allowed to live without encountering difficulties, we would be deprived. We could not be as strong as we are now. We could never fly.

I asked for strength... and God gave me difficulties to make me strong.

I asked for wisdom: and God gave me problems to solve.

I asked for wealth: and God gave me the brain and muscles so that I could work.

I asked for the opportunity to fly ... and God gave me obstacles to overcome them.

I asked for love... and God gave me people I could help with their problems.

I asked for blessings... and God gave me opportunities.

Forgiveness

Ah, Love! I dream of being just like you! - Admiringly repeated Love. You are much stronger than me.
- Do you know what my strength is? Love asked, shaking her head thoughtfully.
Because you are more important to people.
- No, my dear, not at all, - Love sighed and stroked Love on the head. - I can forgive, that's what makes me like that.

Can you forgive betrayal?
- Yes, I can, because Betrayal often comes from ignorance, and not from malicious intent.
- Can you forgive Treason?
- Yes, and Treason too, because, having changed and returning, a person got the opportunity to compare, and chose the best.
- Can you forgive a lie?
- A lie is the lesser of evils, silly, because it often comes from hopelessness, awareness of one's own guilt, or from an unwillingness to hurt, and this is a positive indicator.
- I don't think so, because there are just lying people!!!
- Of course there are, but they have nothing to do with me, because they do not know how to love.
What else can you forgive?
- I can forgive Anger, as it is short-lived. I can forgive Sharpness, as it is often a companion of Grief, and Grief cannot be predicted and controlled, since everyone is upset in their own way.
- What else?
- I can still forgive Resentment - the older sister of Grief, as they often follow one from the other. I can forgive Disappointment as it is often followed by Suffering, and Suffering cleanses.
- Ah, Love! You are truly amazing! You can forgive everything, everything, but at the first test I go out like a burnt out match! I envy you so much!!!
And you're wrong, baby. Nobody can forgive everything. Even Love.
“But you just told me something completely different!”
- No, what I was talking about, I can actually forgive, and I forgive infinitely. But there is something in the world that even Love cannot forgive.

Because it kills feelings, corrodes the soul, leads to Longing and Destruction. It hurts so much that even a great miracle cannot heal it. It poisons the life of others and makes you withdraw into yourself.
It hurts more than Treason and Betrayal and hurts worse than Lies and Resentment. You will understand this when you face him yourself.
Remember, Love, the most terrible enemy of feelings is Indifference. Because there is no cure for it.

Somehow the souls gathered for a meeting before the incarnation on Earth. And so God asks one of them:
Why are you coming to Earth?
- I want to learn to forgive.

Who are you going to forgive? Look how pure, bright, loving souls are. They love you so much they can't do anything
for which they need to be forgiven. The Soul looked at her sisters, indeed, she loves them unconditionally and they love her just the same! The Soul became sad and said: - And I so want to learn to forgive!
Then another Soul comes up to her and says:
- Do not grieve, I love you so much that I am ready to be next to you on Earth and help you experience forgiveness. I will be your husband and be your
change, drink, and you will learn to forgive me.

Another Soul comes up and says:
- I love you very much too and will go with you: I will be your mother, punish you, interfere in your life in every possible way and prevent you from living happily, and you
you will learn to forgive me.
Third Soul says:
- And I will be your best friend and at the most inopportune moment I will betray you, and you will learn to forgive.

Another Soul comes up and says:
- And I will become your boss, and out of love for you, I will treat you harshly and unfairly so that you can experience forgiveness.
Another Soul volunteered to be an evil and unfair mother-in-law...

Thus, a group of loving souls gathered together, came up with a scenario for their life on Earth for living the experience of forgiveness and
embodied. But it turned out that on Earth it is very difficult to remember oneself and one's contract.
Most took this life seriously, began to take offense and be angry with each other, forgetting that they themselves made up this scenario of life, and
the main thing is that everyone loves each other!

Parable. Why is the woman crying?

The little boy asked his mother: "Why are you crying?"
- Because I'm a woman.
- I don't understand!
Mom hugged him and said: "You will never understand this."
Then the boy asked his father, "Why does mom sometimes cry for no reason?" - "All women sometimes cry for no reason" - all that the father could answer.
Then the boy grew up, became a man, but never ceased to wonder: "Why do women cry?"
Finally he asked God. And God answered:
“Having conceived a woman, I wanted her to be perfect.
I gave her shoulders so strong to hold the whole world, and so gentle to support a child's head.
I gave her a spirit strong enough to endure childbirth and other pain.
I gave her a will so strong that she goes forward when others fall, and she cares for the fallen and the sick and the weary without complaining.
I gave her the kindness to love children under any circumstances, even if they offend her.
I gave her the strength to support her husband despite all his shortcomings.
I made it from his rib to protect his heart.
I gave her the wisdom to understand that a good husband never intentionally hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strength and determination to stand by his side without hesitation.
And finally, I gave her tears. And the right to spill them where and when necessary.
And you, My son, need to understand that the beauty of a woman is not in her clothes, hairstyle or manicure.
her beauty is in her eyes that open the door to her heart. The place where love lives."

two names

A woman is truly happy when she has two names:
the first is "Beloved", and the second is "Mom".

Real love

The daughter once asked her mother how to distinguish true love from a fake.
- It's very simple, - answered the mother, - "...because I love!" is true love. "I love because..." is a fake.

Heart

A sage lived in a village. He loved children and often gave them something, but it was always very fragile items. The children tried to handle them carefully, but their new toys often broke and they were very sad. The sage again gave them toys, but even more fragile ones. Once the parents could not stand it and came to him: - You are a wise and kind person, why do you give fragile toys to our children? They cry bitterly when toys break. - Quite a few years will pass, - the wise man smiled, - and someone will give them his heart. Maybe with my help they will learn to handle this priceless gift more carefully.

Abortion

Somehow a married couple came to the old man.
“Father,” says the wife, “I am expecting a child, and we already have four children; if the fifth is born, we will not live. Bless to have an abortion.
“I see that life is not easy for you,” the elder answers, “well, I bless you to kill your child.” Just kill the eldest daughter, she is already fifteen years old: tea, she has already lived in the world, she has seen something, but that crumb has not yet seen a ray of sunshine, it will be unfair to deprive him of this opportunity.
Terrified, the woman covered her face with her hands and sobbed.

One married couple did not have children, although they had been married for several years. In order not to feel lonely, the husband and wife purchased a German Shepherd puppy. They loved him and took care of him like their own son. The puppy grew up and turned into a big, beautiful, smart dog and more than once saved the master's property from thieves, was faithful, devoted, loved and protected his masters.
Seven years after the couple took the dog, they had a long-awaited child. The husband and wife were happy, the baby took almost all of their time, and the dog did not get almost a drop of attention. The dog felt unwanted and became jealous of the child to the owners. Once, the parents left their sleeping son in the house, while they themselves were preparing for a barbecue on the terrace. When they went to visit the child, a dog came out of the nursery. His mouth was bloodied and he wagged his tail contently.
The child's father assumed the worst, grabbed a weapon and immediately killed the dog. Then he ran into the nursery and on the floor, by the cradle of his son, he saw a huge headless snake. "I killed my faithful dog' said the man, holding back tears.
How often do we judge people unfairly? Worst of all, we do it without thinking, without even knowing the reasons why they did it one way or another. We don't care what they thought or felt, we don't care. And we do not allow the thought that later, perhaps, we will regret our haste. So let's next time, having condemned someone, remember this parable about the faithful dog.

Happiness

Happiness ran across the field ... So quickly, cheerfully and serenely that it did not notice the hole and fell into it. He sits at the bottom of this hole and cries. People learned about this and began to come to the pit to look at this miracle. Happiness fulfilled their desires, and they left, happy and contented. One day a young man was walking past this place. He stopped at the edge of the pit and watched for a long time as people make more and more new wishes, and then he extended his hand and rescued happiness from captivity. "What do you want? I will fulfill your every desire," - asked Happiness. But the young man did not answer, and went on his way. And Happiness ran near ...

As soon as the train started, he put his hand out the window to feel the air flow and suddenly shouted in admiration:
- Dad, you see, all the trees are going back!
The older man smiled back.
A married couple sat next to the young man. They were a little embarrassed that 25 summer man behaves like a small child.
Suddenly, the young man again shouted in delight:
- Dad, you see, the lake and the animals ... The clouds are moving along with the train!
The couple watched in embarrassment at the strange behavior of the young man, in which his father did not seem to find anything strange.
It began to rain, and the raindrops touched the young man's hand. He was filled with joy again and closed his eyes. And then he shouted:
- Dad, it's raining, the water touches me! Do you see, dad?
Wanting to do something to help, a couple sitting nearby asked an elderly man:
Why don't you take your son to some clinic for a consultation?
The older man replied, “We just got back from the clinic. Today my son got sight for the first time in his life...

Once upon a time, a wise pilgrim, wandering through different lands, walked past an open field towards the temple. In the field, he saw three people working. The pilgrim had not yet met anyone in this land, and he wanted to talk to these people. The pilgrim approached the three workers and, wanting to offer his help, turned to the one who looked the most tired and, as it seemed to the pilgrim, dissatisfied and even embittered. "What are you doing here?" asked the pilgrim. The first worker, all soiled and tired, answered with undisguised malice in his voice: "What, you don't see, I'm moving stones." This answer surprised and upset the pilgrim, and then he turned to the second worker with the same question. The second worker was distracted from his work for a moment and said indifferently: "Can't you see? I'm making money!" For some reason, the Pilgrim was dissatisfied with such an answer, but, let me remind you, he was a wise man. Then he approached the third worker to ask the same question. The third worker stopped, put aside his uncomplicated tool, dusted off his hands, bowed to the wanderer and, raising his eyes to the sky, said quietly: "I am building a road to the temple here."

Parable of sins

Two people go to the elder for confession. The first one committed one serious sin, and now he goes and humbly thinks how he should confess. And the second one goes to the elder and argues: he has a big sin, but why am I going, because I sin all over trifles and there is nothing to say. They come to the elder, he looked at them, and to the one who committed one big sin, he ordered to bring one big Stone. And the second one hundred small stones. And when they brought them, the elder said to them: "Now return these stones to the place where you took them from." But to return a hundred stones to their place is much more difficult. This parable is about the fact that there are no petty, insignificant sins, that sin in its essence is always a violation of order.

The price of love

Not the one who has seen a lot will understand, but the one who has lost a lot. Forgive not the one who did not offend, but the one who forgave a lot. Everyone who is not able to condemn the way to another will condemn. Jealous only the one in whose veins, the blood will never boil. And someone else's pain will not be able to take, who lives by his own benefit. And sadness does not disturb at night, those who do not know love. And the happiness of the meeting will not be recognized by those who did not breathe parting. Only the one who loses a lot knows the price of a lot!

Parable about God

The hermit once came to a village where there were a lot of unbelievers. He was surrounded by young people who urged him to show where God lives, who is so deeply revered by him. He said that he could do it, but first let them give him a cup of milk.
When the milk was placed in front of him, he did not drink it, but looked at it for a long time and silently with ever-increasing curiosity. Young people showed impatience, their demands became more insistent. Then the hermit said to them:

Wait a minute; they say that milk contains butter, but in this cup, no matter how hard I tried, I did not see it.
The youth began to laugh at his naivety.
- Stupid you man! Don't jump to such ridiculous conclusions. Every drop of milk contains oil, which makes it nutritious. To get and see it, you need to boil the milk, cool it, add curdled milk, wait a few hours for it to curdle, then beat and extract a piece of butter that will appear on the surface.

Ah well! - said the ascetic, - now it is much easier for me to explain to you where God lives. He is everywhere, in every being, in every atom of the Universe, thanks to which they all exist and we perceive them and rejoice in them. But in order to see Him as a real being, you must strictly, zealously, and sincerely follow the prescribed rules. Then, at the end of this process, you will feel His mercy and His power.

Once upon a time, an old Indian revealed to his grandson one vital truth.
- In every person there is a struggle, very similar to the struggle of two wolves. One wolf represents evil - envy, jealousy, regret, selfishness, ambition, lies... The other wolf represents goodness - peace, love, hope, truth, kindness, loyalty...
The little Indian, touched to the depths of his soul by his grandfather's words, thought for a few moments, and then asked:
Which wolf wins at the end?
The old Indian smiled almost imperceptibly and replied:
The wolf you feed always wins.

Parable. Appreciate every person

Every person who appears in our life is a teacher! Someone teaches us to be stronger, someone - wiser, someone teaches us to forgive, someone - to be happy and enjoy every day. Someone does not teach us at all - they just break us, but we also gain experience from this. Appreciate every person, even if he appeared for a moment. After all, if he appeared, then this is no accident!

Parable about love

A young woman was sitting on a park bench and for some reason wept bitterly. At this time, Vanya was riding his tricycle along the alley. And he felt so sorry for his aunt that he asked:

Aunt, why are you crying?

Oh, baby, you won't be able to understand, - the woman waved her hand away.

It seemed to Vanya that after that the aunt began to cry even harder. He says:

Aunt, are you in pain and are you crying? Do you want me to give you my toy?

The woman burst into tears even more at these sympathetic words:

Oh, boy, - she answered, - no one needs me, no one loves me ...

Vanya looked seriously and said:

Are you sure you asked everyone?

Once there were three strangers. Night caught them on the way. They saw the house and knocked. The owner opened them and asked: “Who are you?”
- Health, Love and Wealth. Let us sleep over.
Sorry, but we only have one free seat. I'm going to go talk to my family about which one of you to let in.
The sick mother said, "Let's let Health in."
The daughter offered to let Love in, and the wife suggested Wealth.
While they were arguing, the wanderers disappeared.

All in your hands

One master had a lot of students. The most capable of them once thought: “Is there a question that our teacher cannot answer?” Then he caught the most beautiful butterfly in the meadow and hid it in his palms. Then he came to the master and asked:
- Tell me, teacher, what kind of butterfly, live or dead, do I hold in my palms? He was ready at any moment to squeeze his hands tighter for the sake of his truth.
Without looking at the student, the master replied: - EVERYTHING IS IN YOUR HANDS.

The Parable of the Brook

Once upon a time there lived a small Brook in the world. He descended from the mountains into a beautiful green valley. And then one day he ran to the desert. Then he stopped and thought: "But where to run further?" Ahead was a lot of new and unknown, so Brook got scared.
But then he heard a Voice: "Be bolder! Do not stop there, there is still a lot of interesting things ahead!"
But Brook continued to stand. He wanted to become a big full-flowing river. But he was afraid of change and did not want to take risks.
Then the voice spoke again: "If you stop, you will never know what you are really capable of! Just believe in yourself, and then you will be able to find the right path in any environment! Run on!"
And Brook made up his mind. He ran through the desert. He felt very bad. Unfamiliar places and sweltering heat every day took away his strength. And after a few days it dried up...
But having evaporated, small droplets met high in the sky. They united into one big cloud and floated further over the desert.
The cloud floated over the desert for a long time until it reached the sea. And then the brook spilled into the sea with numerous drops of rain. Now he has merged with the vast sea.
Swinging gently on the waves, he smiled to himself ...
Before, when he lived in the valley, he could not even dream of such a thing.
Brook thought: "I changed the form several times and only now it seems to me that I have finally become myself!"
Don't be afraid of change and never rest on your laurels. When you overcome yourself, your weaknesses, when you win, you experience an amazing, incomparable feeling of delight, a feeling of victory!
Life is so multifaceted that you never know what lies ahead for you. God does not give trials to a person who is not up to him. So all trials are surmountable.
And what a feeling of joy, happiness fills the one who overcomes them and wins!
Someone said: "He who risks nothing, risks everything"

The Parable of King Solomon's Ring

The wisdom of King Solomon was infinite, and the riches in his treasury were almost as incalculable. Therefore, when one of the courtiers presented him with a golden ring as a gift, the king ordered that it be taken to the rest of the treasures, without giving him special attention, so it was lost among the rest of the riches ...

But one day there was a lean year in his country, men and women, children and old people died. Then Solomon ordered to take part of the treasure from his treasury and exchange it with the neighboring kingdom for grain in order to feed his people dying of hunger. When the gold was being taken out, the ring that had previously been presented to him fell from the tray, Solomon took it in his hands and read the engraved inscription on the outer edge: “Everything passes!”, He put it on his finger and never took it off again, looking at this engraving in difficult moments and find comfort in it.

But his beloved wife died, and for a long time Solomon could not find a place for himself from grief, the ring no longer saved. He took it off and was about to throw it into the pond, when another inscription flashed on the inner edge: “This too shall pass!”.
Being already a wise old man, sitting by the pond and watching the sunset, King Solomon twisted the ring on his finger and thought that his life was coming to an end, that everything had already happened ... how important was his life, and did it mean anything or. It was then that he saw the third and final engraving on the narrowest edge of the ring: "Nothing passes!"

parable angel

There lived a hunchback hermit in the old village.
He was feared, he was not loved,
There were rumors about him that he was an evil sorcerer,
and people avoided it.

He wandered around the village with an old bag
in a perennial coat, eaten by moths.
And if he was escorted with a laugh,
He sighed softly, without offense, but with pain.

And people sneered, whispering behind their backs:
his horns, they say, are hidden under his hat,
And that's why this little lame,
that he has hooves instead of fingers.

One day, trouble came to the village:
then the seedlings of wheat will die under the hail,
Then in the summer in July the cold will come,
then the wolves will slaughter the herd for pasture.

Troubled, difficult days have come,
they will have a hard time in the winter without grain.
Not knowing what to do, they decided:
"The hunchback is to blame! Death to you, Satan!

Let's go, let's go to the river!
He is there, he lives in a dugout like an exile!
And they moved in droves. And in each hand
a stone was picked up along the way.

He walked towards them, sad and quiet,
He already knew everything, He is not stupid, He understood.
And He did not turn, He did not hide from them
and only hid his face in his hands.

Never screaming under a hail of stones,
He only whispered: “May the Almighty forgive you!
Stones on the body, but the heart hurts more.
It doesn’t look like us, which means it’s evil, which means it’s superfluous ... "

The execution is over. Someone rudely said:
"Let's see the ugly back!
I've never seen such a hump!"
He took off his coat covered in blood.

The crowd languished in sick curiosity.
Suddenly, silently, like statues, people froze,
"Evil devil", "Satan" hid instead of a hump,
snow-white wings under the old coat ...

And past the dugout, lowering his eyes,
cruel stupid people pass by.
The Almighty, perhaps, will forgive them,
but the angel will no longer be around ...

Which in a different form contains some moral teachings, teachings (for example, the wisest parables of the Gospel or Solomon), some wise thoughts (parables). Officially, it is a small genre of didactic fiction. Many identify the wisest parables with fables. This article reveals the concept of "parable". In addition, wise short parables are given.

What is a parable?

A parable is not so much a story as an instructive story. Many wise thoughts and parables have been passed down through the ages from generation to generation. And this is not accidental: in each such story there are different parables: for example, the wise Thanks to them, people learn the secrets of life, gain access to the awareness of world laws. Moreover, the uniqueness of parables lies in the fact that they do not "load" the reader's consciousness, but very easily and unobtrusively convey to a person something valuable, a hidden truth.

parables of Abul Faraj

The famous Abul Faraj said that a parable is "a story that refreshes the mind and removes pain and sadness from the heart." Abul Faraja himself retold the wisest parables from all over the world.

paternal insight

Remembering wise parables about life, it is impossible not to tell such a story. One day the doorbell rang and the man went to open it. His daughter stood on the threshold with her eyes full of tears, entering the house, she spoke first: “I can’t live like this anymore, it’s getting harder and harder. As if every day I climb a huge mountain, and in the morning I start the procession again from the very foot. Father, what will happen next, how can I not give up?".

He did not answer, he only went to the stove and put on it three saucepans filled with pure spring water, placing carrots, a chicken egg in turn in each and pouring coffee powder into the last one. After 10 minutes, he poured coffee into the girl's bowl, and put carrots and an egg on a saucer. As soon as she brought a cup of aromatic drink to her face, the man asked her a question:

My daughter, what has changed in these subjects?
- Fresh carrots are cooked, become softer. The coffee has completely dissolved. The egg is hard boiled.
- You appreciated only the paramount, but let's look at it from the other side. A strong and hard root crop became supple and softened. As for the egg, outwardly it retained its face, like the carrot, but its internal liquid medium became much harder and more collected. Coffee immediately began to dissolve, hitting hot water, saturating it with its taste and aroma, which you are now enjoying. This is exactly what can happen in the life of each of us. Strong people under the yoke of gravity they will weaken, and the fragile and offended will rise to their feet and will no longer lower their hands.
- But what about coffee, what does its reincarnation teach us? - with timid interest asked the daughter.
- These are the brightest representatives of worldly life, having accepted circumstances that are difficult at first glance, they become related to what is happening, while giving each problem a piece of their taste and aroma. These are special people who, overcoming each stage of their lives, draw something new, giving the world the beauty of their soul.

Parables and Parable of the Rose

A mighty wind walked around the world and did not know worldly feelings and desires. But one sunny and gentle summer day, he met a red rose, which, with its light breeze, looked even more beautiful. Beautiful petals responded to light breaths with a sweet delicate aroma and flowering. It seemed to the wind that he did not sufficiently express his devotion to the fragile plant, then he blew with all his might, forgetting about the tenderness that the flower needed. Unable to withstand such a hard and violent pressure, the slender and living stem broke. The mighty wind tried to resurrect his love and restore the former flowering, but it was too late. The impulses subsided, the former tenderness and softness returned, which enveloped the dying body of a young rose, she was losing her life faster and faster.

Then the wind howled: "I gave you all my strength, great love! How could you break so easily?! It turns out that the strength of your love was not enough to stay with me forever."

Rose only with the same aroma saw off her last seconds, answering passionate speeches with silence.

Do not shed tears in vain

Once an old but very wise lecturer, while reading another scientific work, suddenly stopped. Assuming a liberating pose, he heard from the back desks:

Instead, the lecturer began to tell a long and vivid anecdote, all sitting, without exception, laughed. When the audience fell silent, he again told the same story, but only a few smiled. A question hung in the air on the faces of the others. Repeating itself for the third time, the silent scene dragged on for a long time. None of the audience even smiled, on the contrary, everyone was in a suspended and incomprehensible state.

Why couldn't you guys laugh at my joke three times? You grieve over the same problem every day.

The professor smiled, and everyone sitting in the audience thought about his life.

Fate

One fine day, a wise wanderer came to the outskirts of a small town. He settled in a small hotel and every day received many people who were lost in their own lives.

One young man searched for an answer to his fate in books for a long time, visiting many elders. Some advised to go with the flow, avoiding problems and troubles. Others, on the contrary, said that to swim against the current means to gain strength, to find oneself. He decided to try his luck and listen to the advice of this elder.
Entering the room, the young man saw a man who was looking for something in the chest. He turned around for a moment and pointed to a chair by the table.

Tell me what's bothering you, I'll listen and advise.

The young man told him about visiting other sages, about reading books and about advice.

Go with the flow or against it? he said at the end of the story.
- Forgive me, well done, probably, due to my old age and deafness, I listened. Where do you want to go yourself? - without looking up from his occupation, the wanderer asked.

The power of a word

A blind old man sat on the street with a sign, begging passers-by. There were only a few moments in his box, the summer sun falling on his long, thin legs. At this time, a charming young woman passed by, who, stopping for a moment, picked up a tablet and wrote something herself. The old man only shook his head, but said nothing after her.

An hour later, the girl was walking back, he recognized her by her hurried and light steps. The box at that time was full of new shiny coins, which were added every minute by people passing by.

Sweet girl, did you change my sign? I would like to know what is written there.
- Nothing but the truth is written there, I just slightly corrected it. It says: "Now it's so beautiful around, but, unfortunately, I'll never be able to see it." After tossing a couple of coins, the girl gave the old man a smile and left.

Happiness

Three simple peasants were walking along the road on a summer day. They talked about their hard life, and sang songs. They hear that somewhere someone will forgive help, looking into the hole, and there is happiness.

I will fulfill your every wish! Say what you want to get - happiness refers to the first man.
- so as not to live in poverty until the end of his days, - the man answers her.
Fulfilled the happiness of his desire, and he went towards the village with a bag of money.
- And what do you want? - happiness turned to the second man.
- Babu want all the girls to be more beautiful!

Immediately, a beauty appeared next to him, the peasant grabbed her, and also went to the village.

What is your desire? - asks happiness from the last man.
- What do you really want? - says the man.
“I would like to get out of the pit, good fellow,” happiness said timidly.

The man looked around, found a long log, and fortunately tilted it. He turned and began to return to the village. Happiness quickly crawled out and ran after him, accompanying him through life.

guiding light

In ancient times, when there were still no networks of the world wide web and various engines, people went sailing on simple ships. Then one risky team went on a long journey, full of dangers.

A few days later, their ship was caught in a storm and sank, and only a couple of experienced sailors managed to escape. They woke up on a distant unfamiliar island, in fear and hunger, gradually losing their minds.

One particularly sunny day, a strange ship moored there. This brought immeasurable joy to the rescued, and they decided to build a high and durable lighthouse.
Despite persuasion, they remained on this island until the end of their days, only rejoicing at their destiny. It has become a great happiness and honor for each of them to direct people.

Conclusion

The wisest parables given in this article do not really burden the mind of the reader, but quite easily and unobtrusively convey something valuable, hidden truth to a person.

Parables are short and entertaining stories that express the experience of many generations of lives. Parables about love have always been especially popular. And no wonder - these stories filled with meaning can teach a lot. And the right relationship with a partner, too.

After all, love is a great power. She is able to create and destroy, inspire and deprive of strength, give insight and deprive of reason, believe and be jealous, perform feats and push for betrayal, give and take, forgive and avenge, idolize and hate. So love needs to be handled. And instructive parables about love will help with this.

Where else to draw wisdom, if not in the stories proven over the years. We hope that short stories about love will answer many of your questions and teach harmony. After all, we are all born to love and be loved.

Parable about love, wealth and health

Parable about love and happiness

- Where does love go? - the little happiness asked his father. “She is dying,” said the father. People, son, do not cherish what they have. They just don't know how to love!
Little happiness thought: I'll grow up big and start helping people! Years passed. Happiness grew and became greater.
It remembered its promise and tried its best to help the people, but the people did not hear it.
And gradually Happiness began to turn from a big one into a small and stunted one. It was very afraid that it would not disappear at all, and set off on a long journey to find a cure for its illness.
How long did Happiness go for a short time, not meeting anyone on its way, it only became very bad for him.
And it stopped to rest. I chose a sprawling tree and lay down. I had just dozed off when I heard footsteps approaching.
He opened his eyes and sees: a decrepit old woman is walking through the forest, all in rags, barefoot and with a staff. Happiness rushed to her: - Sit down. You must be tired. You need to rest and refresh.
The old woman's legs buckled, and she literally collapsed into the grass. After a short rest, the wanderer told Happiness her story:
- It's a shame when you are considered so decrepit, but I'm still young, and my name is Love!
- So this is you Love?! Happiness struck. But I was told that love is the most beautiful thing in the world!
Love looked at him attentively and asked:
- And what is your name?
- Happiness.
- That's how? I was also told that happiness should be beautiful. And with these words she took out a mirror from her rags.
Happiness, looking at her reflection, wept loudly. Love sat down to him and gently hugged her hand. - What did these evil people and fate do to us? - Happiness sobbed.
- Nothing, - said Love, - If we are together and take care of each other, we will quickly become young and beautiful.
And under that sprawling tree, Love and Happiness made their union never to be separated.
Since then, if Love leaves someone's life, Happiness leaves with it, they do not exist separately.
And people still don't get it...

The parable of the best wife

One day, two sailors set off on a journey around the world to find their destiny. They sailed to the island, where the leader of one of the tribes had two daughters. The eldest is beautiful, and the youngest is not very.
One of the sailors said to his friend:
- That's it, I found my happiness, I stay here and marry the leader's daughter.
- Yes, you are right, the eldest daughter of the leader is beautiful, smart. You made the right choice - get married.
You don't understand me, friend! I am marrying the chief's youngest daughter.
- Are you crazy? She's like... not so much.
This is my decision and I will do it.
The friend sailed on in search of his happiness, and the groom went to woo. I must say that in the tribe it was customary to give cows for the bride. A good bride cost ten cows.
He drove ten cows and approached the leader.
- Chief, I want to marry your daughter and give ten cows for her!
- This a good choice. My eldest daughter is beautiful, smart, and she is worth ten cows. I agree.
No, sir, you don't understand. I want to marry your youngest daughter.
- Are you joking? Can't you see, she's just so... not so good.
- I want to marry her.
- Okay, but as an honest person, I can't take ten cows, she's not worth it. I'll take three cows for her, no more.
- No, I want to pay exactly ten cows.
They merried.
Several years passed, and the wandering friend, already on his ship, decided to visit the remaining comrade and find out how his life is. Sailed, walks along the shore, and towards the woman of unearthly beauty.
He asked her how to find his friend. She showed. He comes and sees: his friend is sitting, the kids are running around.
- How are you?
- I'm happy.
This is where the beautiful woman comes in.
- Here, meet me. This is my wife.
- How? Are you married again?
No, it's the same woman.
But how did it happen that she changed so much?
- And you ask her yourself.
A friend approached the woman and asked:
- Sorry for the faux pas, but I remember what you were ... not very much. What happened to make you so beautiful?
- It's just that one day I realized that I was worth ten cows.

The Parable of the Best Husband

One day a woman came to the priest and said:
- You married my husband two years ago. Now separate us. I don't want to live with him anymore.
- What is the reason for your desire to get a divorce? - asked the priest.
The woman explained:
- All husbands return home on time, but my husband is constantly delayed. There are scandals every day because of this house.
The priest, surprised, asks:
- Is this the only reason?
“Yes, I don’t want to live with a person who has such a defect,” the woman replied.
- I'll divorce you, but on one condition. Come back home, bake a big tasty bread and bring it to me. But when you bake bread, do not take anything from the house, and ask your neighbors for salt, water, and flour. And be sure to explain to them the reason for your request,” said the priest.
This woman went home and, without delay, set to work.
She went to a neighbor and said:
- Oh, Maria, lend me a glass of water.
- Have you run out of water? Isn't there a well dug in the yard?
“There is water, but I went to the priest to complain about my husband and asked to divorce us,” that woman explained, and as soon as she finished, the neighbor sighed:
- Oh, if you knew what kind of husband I have! - and began to complain about her husband. After that, the woman went to her neighbor Asya to ask for salt.
- You have run out of salt, are you asking for just one spoon?
“There is salt, but I complained to the priest about my husband, asked for a divorce,” that woman says, and before she had time to finish, the neighbor exclaimed:
- Oh, if you knew what kind of husband I have! - and began to complain about her husband.
So, to whom this woman did not go to ask, from everyone she heard complaints about her husbands.
Finally, she baked a large tasty bread, brought it to the priest and gave it away with the words:
- Thank you, taste my work with your family. Just don't think of divorcing me and my husband.
- Why, what happened, daughter? the priest asked.
- My husband, it turns out, is the best, - the woman answered him.

Parable about true love

Once the teacher asked his students:
Why do people scream when they fight?
“Because they lose their calm,” said one.
- But why shout if the other person is next to you? the Teacher asked. Can't you talk to him quietly? Why scream if you're angry?
The students offered their answers, but none of them satisfied the Teacher.
Finally he explained: - When people are dissatisfied with each other and quarrel, their hearts move away. In order to cover this distance and hear each other, they have to shout. The more angry they are, the farther they move away and the louder they shout.
- What happens when people fall in love? They do not shout, on the contrary, they speak softly. Because their hearts are very close, and the distance between them is very small. And when they fall in love even more, what happens? continued the Teacher. – They do not speak, but only whisper and become even closer in their love. - In the end, even whispering becomes unnecessary for them. They just look at each other and understand everything without words.

A story about a happy family

In one small town two families live next door. Some spouses constantly quarrel, blaming each other for all troubles and finding out which of them is right. And others live together, they have no quarrels, no scandals.
The obstinate hostess marvels at the happiness of her neighbor and, of course, envies her. Says to her husband:
- Go and see how they do it so that everything is smooth and quiet.
He came to a neighbor's house, hid under an open window and listens.
And the hostess just puts things in order in the house. He wipes an expensive vase from dust. Suddenly the phone rang, the woman was distracted, and put the vase on the edge of the table, so much so that it was about to fall. But then her husband needed something in the room. He caught a vase, it fell and broke.
- Oh, what will happen now! the neighbor thinks. He immediately imagined what a scandal would be in his family.
The wife came up, sighed with regret, and said to her husband:
- Sorry honey.
- What are you, honey? This is my fault. I was in a hurry and did not notice the vase.
- I am guilty. So inaccurately put the vase.
- No, it's my fault. Anyway. We would not have had greater misfortune.
The neighbor's heart hurt. He came home upset. Wife to him:
- Something you quickly. Well, what did you see?
- Yes!
- Well, how are they?
- It's all their fault. That's why they don't fight. But we are always right...

A beautiful legend about the importance of love in life

It so happened that different feelings lived on the same island: Happiness, Sadness, Skill ... And Love was among them.
Once Premonition informed everyone that the island would soon disappear under water. Haste and Haste were the first to leave the island in boats. Soon everyone left, only Love remained. She wanted to stay until the last second. When the island was about to go under water, Love decided to call for help.
Wealth sailed on a magnificent ship. Love says to him: "Wealth, can you take me away?" "No, I have a lot of money and gold on my ship. I don't have room for you!"
Happiness floated past the island, but it was so happy that it did not even hear how Love was calling it.
… and yet Love was saved. After her rescue, she asked Knowledge who it was.
- Time. Because only Time can understand how important Love is!

True love story

In one aul there lived a girl of incomparable beauty, but none of the young men wooed her, no one sought her hand. The fact is that once a wise man who lived in the neighborhood predicted:
- Whoever dares to kiss a beauty will die!
Everyone knew that this wise man was never wrong, so dozens of brave horsemen looked at the girl from afar, not even daring to approach her. But then one fine day a young man appeared in the village, who at first sight, like everyone else, fell in love with the beauty. Without a moment's hesitation, he climbed over the fence, came up and kissed the girl.
- Ah! - shouted the inhabitants of the village. - Now he's going to die!
But the young man kissed the girl again, and again. And she immediately agreed to marry him. The rest of the horsemen turned to the sage in bewilderment:
- How so? You, sage, predicted that the one who kissed the beauty would die!
- I don't go back on my words. - answered the sage. But I didn't say exactly when that would happen. He will die sometime later - after many years of a happy life.

A story about a long family life

An elderly couple who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary were asked how they managed to live together for so long.
After all, there was everything - and difficult times, and quarrels, and misunderstanding.
Perhaps their marriage was on the verge of collapse more than once.
"It's just that in our time, broken things were repaired, not thrown away," the old man smiled in response.

Parable about the fragility of love

And the moral of all these parables is very simple: love and appreciate each other.

Why do people need books? This question has been asked many times by great philosophers, thinkers and ordinary people. Each creation of a writer is a small world that brings something new to the reader: some books teach you to love and empathize, others always come to the rescue and appreciate friendship, others teach you to set life priorities correctly. However, there are books that bring nothing but chaos and confusion, but they can hardly be called literature. Tales and short stories, short stories and novels, fables and fairy tales... All this is a great heritage of human wisdom, on a separate stage of which are parables about the meaning of life .

What are these short stories filled with deep meaning, which is sometimes impossible to convey even in a three-volume collected works. What is their great power? Who are these talented creators who gave readers wise words about the meaning of life and human relationships, about faith and hope, about love and mutual understanding, about tolerance and piety?

Why do we need parables about life?

Each of us from a young age, albeit unconsciously, began his acquaintance with parables - short stories about fictional heroes who carried a lesson and morality, every mother was sure to tell. And if in childhood it was perceived as part of upbringing, parental instruction, then in adulthood, parables open up from a completely different side. In addition to the obvious meaning that the work is fraught with, more and more new facets and subtexts appear that can show the full depth of morality.

The main feature of parables, in addition to their meaningful content and small volume, is their peculiar infinity - if stories or novels are interesting only at the first reading, then philosophical parables about life You can re-read an unlimited number of times, and with each reading they will become more and more interesting. They unobtrusively, metaphorically open the eyes of readers to the only important thing in the world - goodness, mutual understanding and spirituality. Moreover, it does not matter how many years ago the parable was created - five years or five centuries ago - it does not lose its relevance, just as moral values transmitted from generation to generation do not become unnecessary or unimportant.

Parables about life and wisdom: where to start acquaintance?

In the context of modernity, literature has ceased to play a primary role - the Internet, mobile phones, e-books and other gadgets have replaced printed publications. Of course, this technique, when used wisely, can bring a lot of good - in a matter of seconds, find the necessary information, tell absolutely any work, no matter what year and origin it may be. On the other hand, no device is able to create a magical aura that appears at the moment when you open a book. That is why read stories about life better in printed version- this will help you feel the full power of the word, tactilely feel the softness of the pages, breathe in a special typographic aroma and absorb every word said in the parable.

However, there is nothing seditious to draw the wisdom of centuries online - no matter how paradoxical it may sound, there are many really valuable and deep collections of parables on the net that will allow you to plunge into the world of morality and spirituality, take a step towards a more conscious perception of yourself and get closer to knowledge of true values.

Beautiful parables about life young listeners and readers really like it - the child's soul is especially subtle and sensitive, so such works cannot fail to find a response in it. Therefore, caring parents who seek to raise their child as a full-fledged and spiritually developed personality should begin to get acquainted with this genre from the first years of the baby's life. Such upbringing will be useful not only for the baby, but also for the parents themselves - light, kind and instructive parables will explain to the child what cannot be conveyed directly, and the adult will be reminded of how important the soul is.

Beautiful parables about life: a moral lesson or educational literature?

Each parable is its own ode to a small chest in which morality is stored. And although their variety is limitless, as spiritual matters are limitless, the most popular narratives touch on the following aspects:

  1. Happiness. What is real happiness, not polished, fake, ostentatious, but small and touching the soul to tears? In something distant, unattainable, or in simple trifles? The answers to these questions can be found in parables.
  2. About relationships. Of course, no story is complete without describing the relationship between people. A friendly shoulder, substituted at the right moment, the support of an outsider, good deed in relation to a stranger - this is what is really valuable.
  3. Dreams. Not to confuse a desire and a dream, not to give up a dream for the sake of a momentary good means to take the first step towards success.
  4. Properly prioritized. In the bustle of modern megacities, it is so difficult to notice what is really important - the loving look of a loved one, the smile on the face of a passerby, the first flower that blossomed in the spring. Pay attention to the beautiful to make your life a little happier!
  5. Attitude to money and career. Are finances as important as we used to think. Is buying 101 handbags more important than a couple of hours spent with the family? Is it really worth working non-stop for the sake of relaxing on the overseas coast instead of spending the weekend next to those who are looking forward to it so much? Work to live or live to work? Do not make a mistake in choosing, so as not to miss the really important!

This list is endless - folk wisdom, collected in parables together, has no boundaries.
