OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR SELLERS OF NON-FOOD PRODUCTS

1. General safety requirements

1.1. Persons who have undergone training in the profession, a knowledge test in the scope of Group I on electrical safety (when using cash registers, test benches, demonstrations of goods powered by an electrical network), instructions on labor protection and have mastered safe methods and techniques for performing work. Training, instruction and knowledge testing are carried out in accordance with the Regulations on training, instruction and knowledge testing of employees of trade and public catering organizations on labor protection issues.
1.2. Sellers who have undergone special training and have a certificate are allowed to sell technically complex goods. Persons under 18 years of age are not allowed to transport and move liquefied gases in cylinders under pressure, explosive, flammable and other dangerous and harmful substances.
An employee who sells (exchanges) small-capacity gas cylinders must undergo special training in safety rules when handling gas cylinders.
1.3. An employee may be exposed to hazardous and harmful production factors:
- transported goods, containers;
- increased noise level in the workplace;
- increased voltage in the electrical circuit;
- increased level of electromagnetic radiation;
- insufficient illumination of the working area;
- reduced contrast;
- sharp edges, burrs and roughness on the surfaces of tools, equipment, inventory, goods and containers;
- harmful substances in the air of the working area;
- physical, emotional overload.
1.4. The employee must be provided with personal protective equipment in accordance with established standards.
1.5. The employee is prohibited from:
1.5.1. trade in household chemicals, varnishes, paints and other flammable and combustible liquids packaged in glass containers with a capacity of more than 1 liter each;
1.5.2. store packaging materials in kerosene trading premises;
1.5.3. smoke and use open fire (matches, torches) when refueling motor vehicles with gasoline;
1.5.4. store gas cylinders together with flammable liquids.
1.6. Comply with internal labor regulations and perform only assigned work. It is prohibited to be and perform work on the territory of the organization and workplace in a state of alcoholic, toxic or drug intoxication (poisoning). Smoking is allowed only in specially designated areas.
1.7. Use working tools, devices, equipment and only for their intended purpose.
1.8. The employee must be provided with special clothing, shoes and other personal protective equipment in accordance with established standards.
1.9. Observe the rules of personal hygiene: before eating, during breaks, after finishing work, wash your hands with soap and water, eat food in rooms equipped for these purposes, store uniforms, special and personal clothing in designated places.
1.10. In case of illness or even minor injury, stop working, inform your supervisor and go to a medical facility.
1.11. For failure to comply with the requirements of this instruction, the employee is liable in accordance with current legislation.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Wear uniform and special clothing necessary to perform the work.
2.2. Inspect the workplace, remove unnecessary and disturbing objects, clear aisles of goods and empty containers.
2.3. Check by external inspection:
2.3.1. equipping the workplace with working electrical measuring instruments, test panels or remote controls (when selling radio and electrical household goods);
2.3.2. equipped with banquettes, benches, stands, mirrors (for selling clothes, shoes, hats), poles for hanging and removing lighting fixtures and lampshades, wire cutters, reels for storing supplies of electrical cords, etc.;
2.3.3. For sliding stairs, check the strength of the fastening of the hooks, which do not allow their arbitrary sliding during operation.
2.4. During pre-sale preparation of sewing and knitted products that require ironing, check:
2.4.1. the presence of a stand on insulators or a dielectric rubber mat (path) in rooms with electrically conductive floors;
2.4.2. strength of fastening of the ironing board to the frame and the frame to the floor, stability of the table;
2.4.3. the presence of a metal stand on an asbestos gasket;
2.4.4. integrity of the electric iron power cord mounted on the ironing table brackets;
2.4.5. the length of the wire, which should be such that it does not lie on the ironing table during operation;
2.4.6. grounding of metal parts of the ironing table.
2.5. Before cutting glass:
2.5.1. remove all unnecessary things from the cutting table;
2.5.2. Stably place the glass prepared for cutting and waste boxes;
2.5.3. bring the glass that has been standing in the cold into a warm room to warm it up.
2.6. Before selling (exchanging) small-capacity gas cylinders, ventilate all rooms.
2.7. Make sure that electrical equipment (cash register, banknote counter, stands, consoles for demonstrating and checking electrical goods, etc.), including technically complex products, have no visible damage and are installed on a flat, stable base so that It was impossible to step on or get caught in electrical connection cables (cords).
2.8 Before turning on electrical equipment, check the serviceability of sockets, plugs, insulation of connecting cables (cords), as well as the presence and reliability of protective covers, covers, etc.
2.9. Check the serviceability of the manual cargo trolley, container and make sure that the wheels of the trolley or container rotate easily, without jamming; handrails and fences provided by the design are in good working order and securely fastened.
2.10. Report all malfunctions discovered during inspection of equipment, inventory, tools and devices to your immediate supervisor and do not begin work until they are eliminated.

3. Safety requirements during operation

3.1. When performing work on unpacking, placing and displaying goods:
3.1.1. Place goods on cabinet shelves and racks so that the possibility of them falling is excluded. Place lighter items on the top, and heavier items on the bottom shelves or shelves;
3.1.2. When placing goods on the upper shelves of cabinets and racks, use only serviceable, stable ladders. Do not use boxes or other random objects instead of ladders;
3.1.3. when unpacking goods in rigid containers, selling sharp, piercing, or lubricated goods, wear gloves and use special devices;
3.1.4. Before selling, check a small-capacity cylinder filled with gas using a soap emulsion for tightness in the seams and threaded connections.
3.2. When cutting fabrics, use scissors the size of which corresponds to the size of your hands.
3.3. Tailor's scissors for cutting cloth fabrics should be light, well sharpened and have a length of up to 180 mm.
3.4. When ironing fabrics, stands under the irons should be at the same level as the tables and have edges on three sides. When not in use, irons must be kept on a stand. Do not cool overheated irons by immersing them in water.
3.5. When selling radio and electrical goods, check their operation by connecting them to the electrical network using test panels or remote controls. Do not allow the electrical wire to be under your feet or touch metal, hot, or wet objects (heating radiators, water and gas pipes, etc.).
3.6. Disconnect the equipment in use, radio and electrical products being demonstrated from the electrical network during a power outage, after the end of the product demonstration, during a break in work, or if at least one of the following malfunctions occurs:
3.6 1. plug connections or cable (hose) insulation are damaged;
3.6.2. unclear operation of the switch;
3.6.3. the occurrence of increased or extraneous noise;
3.6.4. appearance of smoke or odor characteristic of burning insulation;
3.6.5. breakage or cracks in the housing.
3.7. Be careful when distributing goods in glass containers, fragile goods, immediately remove fragments of accidentally broken objects from the floor, using a dustpan or broom (brush); Do not pick up the fragments with your hands.
3.8. Operations with window glass (installation in a box, rearrangement, collection of scrap and waste, etc.) should be carried out using gloves.
3.9. Moving and laying window glass without packaging must comply with the following requirements:
3.9.1. a sheet of glass without packaging should be taken with one hand from below and with the other from above;
3.9.2. When carrying, sheet glass should be held to the side and in a vertical position;
3.9.3. To reduce the likelihood of cutting your hands, special pads made of soft material can be applied to the sharp edges of the glass.
3.10. Cutting glass is allowed only on special tables, observing the following rules:
3.10 1. use leather or rubber finger guards and use safety glasses;
3.10.2. use a diamond or glass cutter depending on the thickness of the glass;
3.10.3 keep the diamond vertical. Pay attention to the position of the cutting edge of the diamond: its acute angle should be facing forward in the direction of cutting the glass;
3.10.4. cut glass using sliding templates and a safe moving ruler. It is not allowed to cut glass while hanging or on your knees;
3.10.5. If the cut made by the diamond is not deep enough, you need to make a full cut next to the first one. Do not break glass without cutting with a glass cutter or diamond;
3.10.6. The glass should be broken on the edge of the workbench, and the narrow edges of the glass should be broken off with a glass cutter, grasping it with the slots of the frame or with a special tool. With a good cut, the glass is broken by grabbing the edges with your hands;
3.10.7. when the diamond is slightly dulled or cut with a steel glass cutter, the glass should be tapped at the bottom exactly along the cut line with a glass cutter frame or other tool until the initial crack appears, then break the glass;
3.10.8. remove glass from the cut table one sheet at a time;
3.10.9. Do not wipe glass and hands with the same cloth or rags.
3.11. The seller must keep his workplace clean, not clutter it with containers, goods and equipment, empty containers must be immediately removed from the workplace. Do not leave broken glass or trash in empty containers.
3.12. Do not lift or carry heavy objects manually in excess of the established limits: 10 kg for women and 50 kg for men.
3.13. Be careful when working with tools, goods that have sharp parts or cutting edges, do not check the sharpness of the cutting edges with your fingers, do not carry or pass them point first.
3.14. When working with household chemicals that contain toxic, caustic substances, be careful not to let them come into contact with eyes or exposed areas of the body.
3.15. Cut the packaging twine with scissors; do not use knives, razor blades or other random objects for this purpose; when selling electrical wires, use wire cutters.
3 16. When performing work from a portable ladder, it is prohibited:
3.16.1. work from an extension ladder, standing on a step located at a distance of less than
3.16.2 arrange additional support structures from boxes, etc. in case of insufficient length of the stairs;
3.16.3. install the ladder at an angle of more than 75° (optimal installation angle 68-75°) to the horizontal without additional fastening of its upper part;
3 16.4. work from the top two steps of a stepladder that does not have railings or stops;
3.16.5. more than one person being on the steps of a stepladder or ladder;
3.16.6 use a folded stepladder as an extension ladder.
3.17. When transporting goods on a hand truck or in a container:
3.17.1. do not exceed the specified load capacity of the cart or container;
3.17.2. the speed of movement of the trolley or container should not exceed 5 km/h;
3.17.3 when moving a load down an inclined floor, be behind the trolley or container;
3.17.4. the movement of cargo stacked in a stack must be carried out by two people, with the support of the stack;
3.17.5 warn people not to be in the path of cargo movement or in the area of ​​effect of the trolley frame.
3.18. To avoid electric shock or failure of electrical equipment, follow these safety requirements:
3.18.1. do not touch damaged or faulty switches, sockets, plugs, or wires with damaged insulation;
3.18.2. do not touch switched on electrical equipment with wet hands, do not work with it without shoes;
3.18.3. Avoid sharp bends and pinching of electrical connecting cables (cords);
3.18.4. do not remove the protective casings and covers provided by the equipment design and do not work without them;
3 18.5. do not allow water or metal objects (needles, paper clips, etc.) to get inside electrical appliances and devices, do not cover the ventilation holes on their cases with anything;
3.18.6 do not leave switched on electrical appliances and devices unattended, disconnect them from the network during breaks, at the end of work, during cleaning, repair or maintenance;
3.18.7. if malfunctions occur in the cash register, other electrical appliances and devices, stop working, disconnect them from the electrical network and report this to your immediate supervisor;
3.18.8. When disconnecting electrical equipment from the network, grasp the body of the plug, and not the connecting electrical cable (cord).
3.19. When selling electrical goods and technically complex goods, check their functionality by connecting to the electrical network using special demonstration and testing stands and remote controls.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. Stop work immediately if situations arise that could lead to an accident or accident:
4.1.1. turn off the equipment you are using;
4.1.2. In the event of a fire or fire, the employee must immediately notify the manager about this in order to organize a call to the fire service (tel. 01) and extinguish the fire using primary fire extinguishing equipment.
4.2. Provide the necessary first aid to the injured person at work, freeing him from the action of the traumatic factor (electric current, machinery, etc.).
4.3. If you are injured at work, immediately contact a medical facility and report the incident to your immediate supervisor.

5. Safety requirements after completion of work

5.1. Turn off used equipment and electrical appliances, remove tools, accessories, and inventory to designated storage areas.
5.2. Demonstration and testing stands and remote control panels should be disconnected from the electrical network only after turning off the electrical appliances and devices connected to them.
5 3. After cutting glass:
5.3.1. clean the cutting table using a sweeping brush and dustpan;
5.3.2. Collect waste and broken glass in a special box and take it to the designated place;
5.3.3. Wipe the glass cutter roller and diamond with a dry rag or suede and place in a special case;

5.3.5. Wash your hands and face with warm water and soap or take a shower.

1. General safety requirements

1.1. Based on this standard instruction on labor protection (hereinafter referred to as the standard instruction), instructions on labor protection are being developed for the seller and the cashier-controller, taking into account the conditions of their work in a particular organization.

1.2. The seller and cashier may be affected by hazardous and harmful production factors (increased air mobility; increased voltage in the electrical circuit; insufficient illumination of the work area; reduced contrast; direct and reflected brightness; neuropsychic overload). When preparing goods for sale and when transferring purchases into inventory baskets, the cashier controller may be affected by additional factors: sharp edges, burrs and uneven surfaces of equipment, tools, inventory, containers, goods; physical overload.

1.3. The seller and cashier-controller notify their immediate supervisor about any situation that threatens the life and health of people, about every accident that occurs at work, about a deterioration in their health, including the manifestation of signs of an acute disease.

1.4. The seller and cashier should:

· leave outerwear, shoes, hats, personal items in the dressing room;

· Before starting work, put on clean uniforms and change them when dirty;

· after visiting the toilet, wash your hands with soap;

· do not eat food at work.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Fasten the uniform with all the buttons (tie the strings), avoiding hanging ends of the clothing, and tuck your hair under your headdress.

Do not pin uniforms with pins or needles, do not keep sharp or breakable objects in your pockets.

2.2. Before operating the cash register, check by external inspection:

· stability of the machine on the table, absence of external damage and foreign objects near the cash register;

· serviceability of the power cable (cord), plug, socket;

· presence and reliability of grounding connections (no breaks, strength of contact between the machine body and the grounding wire). Do not start work if there is no or unreliable grounding;

· absence of contamination outside and inside the machine;

· serviceability and stability of the lift-and-swivel chair;

· sufficient lighting of the working surface;

· no glare from light.

2.3. Before connecting the cash register to the electrical network, check the serviceability of the blocking devices.

2.4. Connect the cash register to the electrical network and check its operation by receiving a zero receipt.

2.5. Make sure that the security (administration) call device, banknote detector, and emergency lighting are working properly.

2.6. Conveniently and sustainably place stocks of related products and packaging materials in accordance with the frequency of use and consumption.

2.7. Report all detected malfunctions of the cash register, electrical wiring and other problems to your immediate supervisor and begin work only after they have been eliminated.

3. Safety requirements during operation

3.1. Perform only the work for which you have been trained, instructed on labor protection and for which you have been authorized by the person responsible for the safe performance of work.

3.2. Do not entrust your work to untrained or unauthorized persons.

3.3. Use proper equipment and tools necessary for safe work; use them only for the work for which they are intended.

3.4. Follow the rules of movement in the room, use only designated passages.

3.6. While operating the cash register:

· comply with the safety requirements set out in the manufacturer’s operational documentation;

· connect the machine to the electrical network through a special outlet, which must be grounded;

· refill (replace) receipt and control tapes, add paint to the painting mechanism only after disconnecting the machine from the electrical network;

· remember that in machines with automatic opening of the cash drawer, during the issuance of the first check, the cash drawer is pushed out by at least one third of its length under the action of a spring;

· when the machine stops for an unknown reason, the receipt tape gets stuck, as well as in case of a sudden stop (the machine stops during an unfinished work cycle), disconnect it from the power supply;

· remove stuck pieces of receipt tape with tweezers.

3.7. Disconnect the cash register from the electrical network in the event of a breakdown of electric current on the machine body.

3.8. When operating a cash register, the following is not allowed:

· start work in the absence or faulty grounding;

· use fuses that are not designed for the current provided for by the technical characteristics of this machine, connect the machine to the electrical network without a fuse (replace the fuse with a “bug”);

· come into contact with current-carrying devices, grounding bars, heating radiators, water pipes, etc.;

· interrupt the operation of the machine after turning it on until the end of the working cycle;

· work on the machine with the cover removed or the door of the receipt printing mechanism open.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. In an emergency, notify people around you of the danger, report to your immediate supervisor about the incident and act in accordance with the emergency response plan.

4.2. If during work the conveyor or basket shelf of the calculation unit becomes contaminated with paints, varnishes, fats or spilled powdery substances (washing powder, flour, starch, etc.), stop work and request removal of contaminants.

4.3. In case of injury, poisoning or sudden illness, the victim must be provided with first (pre-medical) aid and, if necessary, his delivery to a healthcare facility must be organized.

5. Safety requirements after completion of work

5.1. Perform between-repair maintenance of the cash register and prepare it for the next working day in accordance with the requirements of the operating manual for this type of cash register. Disconnect the cash register from the electrical network.

5.2. Do not clean up debris in the workplace directly with your hands; use brushes, dustpans and other devices for these purposes.

Chapter 1. General requirements for labor protection

3. 7. The seller is responsible for:

compliance with the requirements of fire and electrical safety rules, knowledge of fire warning signals, procedures for action in case of fire, location of fire extinguishing equipment and ability to use them;

know first aid techniques in case of accidents at work;

compliance with internal labor regulations;

safety of material assets, devices and tools assigned to it;

perform only the work that is assigned to them, the safe methods of which are known. If necessary, you should contact your immediate supervisor for clarification;

know and observe the rules of personal hygiene;

provide assistance and cooperate with the employer in ensuring healthy and safe working conditions, immediately notify your immediate supervisor or other official of the employer about the malfunction of equipment, tools, devices, vehicles, protective equipment, or about the deterioration of your health;

accidents and other violations caused by the actions of the seller violating the requirements of the labor protection instructions.

8. When operating commercial and technological equipment, etc., comply with the safety requirements set out in these instructions and operational documentation for the equipment.

9. Depending on the nature of the work, it should be possible to perform work operations in a sitting position or alternating sitting and standing positions, if the operations do not require constant movement.

10. Trade and auxiliary premises of a trade organization must be equipped ventilation, air conditioning and heating systems.

11. For violation of labor discipline, failure to comply with the requirements of regulatory documents on labor protection and these instructions, the seller is held accountable in accordance with the law.

12. A salesperson who appears at work drunk, under the influence of drugs or toxic substances is not allowed to work that day.

Chapter 2. Labor protection requirements before starting work

13. Before starting work, the seller must:

put in order and put on uniform and safety shoes;

place the working stock of goods, stock of packaging materials, devices and tools used during work on the counter and within maximum reach:

inspect the workplace, remove unnecessary and disturbing objects;

check by external inspection the serviceability of trade equipment, tools and devices;

Chapter 3. Labor protection requirements when performing work

1.1. 1.2. The senior salesperson notifies his immediate supervisor about any situation that threatens the life and health of people, about every accident that occurs at work, about a deterioration in his health, including the manifestation of signs of an acute illness.

2. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS BEFORE STARTING WORK
2.1. Fasten the uniform with all buttons (tie ties). Do not pin your clothes with pins or needles, do not keep sharp, breakable objects in your pockets.

2.2. Check that the workplace is equipped with the necessary equipment, tools, fixtures and tools for work.
