Standardization activities are very dynamic; they must always respond to changes occurring in all spheres of society, primarily in technology and economics, and strive to keep up with and anticipate these changes so that regulatory documents (standards) contribute to the development of domestic production and the service sector.

In the process of standardization, the most correct and economical option for solving practical problems is identified, which can be called the optimal solution, i.e. a solution that achieves optimal ordering in a particular industry.

The mechanism of the standardization process is shown using the example of a specific object and includes four main stages (see Fig. 6).

Figure 6. Standardization mechanism

1. Selection of standardization objects. Suppose that in an organization there is a certain set of objects and actions with them, conventionally designated by capital letters of the Russian alphabet - A, B, C, D, D, F, I, K... For example, the organization uses a certain set of types of organizational and administrative documents (orders, memos, etc.). Some of them are compiled systematically, others - ad hoc: A; B; IN; G; A; AND; B; 3; A; B; B...

The object of standardization becomes repeating objects B and A, in the given example - individual types of documents.

2. Modeling of a standardization object (for example, object B). It should be taken into account that it is not the objects themselves as material objects that are subject to the standardization process, but information about them that reflects their essential aspects (signs, properties), i.e. abstract model of a real object. For example, for an organizational and administrative document such features are: composition of details; registration of details; document requirements)
