The 10 Slim Line standard BA cartridge is used in the following modifications of Geyser household three-stage filters: Ultra Bio 441, Bio 342, Bio 341, 3 K Lux with UF membrane, 3 AK Elite. It is designed for water iron removal (eliminates up to 5 mg/l of excess dissolved iron by alkaline precipitation). The main component of the cartridge (its filter medium) is a composite catalytic sorbent - calcite. It is fundamentally new material created on the basis of dolomite through the introduction of special catalytic additives into it. It is developed and patented by the Geyser company. Calcite has proven to be an effective corrector of iron levels in water. Among other things, this filter material reduces the acidity of filtered water.

The principle of operation of calcite is based on accelerating the transition of dissolved iron into an insoluble form of hydroxide, which is retained inside the cartridge, and then mechanically filtered. The rate of the process is significantly affected by the acidity of the water (pH level), in which the oxidation reaction takes place. So, raising the pH level by just one unit increases the rate of transition of iron from one form to another by 1000 times! At the same time, calcite is able to remove manganese, clay, sand and other suspensions from water, and also partially neutralize hydrogen sulfide, active chlorine, polyphosphates. The ability of calcite to boost oxidative processes ("iron cleans iron") allows the material to effectively eliminate even high concentrations of manganese.

The design of the BA cartridge guarantees the quality of the filter material and eliminates the ingress harmful substances(for example, manganese) into the treated water. The backfill of the BA module (“Calcite”) significantly exceeds in its characteristics and safety the deironing loads of such well-known brands as, for example, Green Sand and Birm.

Working in concert with other filtration materials of three-stage Geyser systems, the BA module fully reveals all its advantages, contributing to high-quality and thorough water purification.

The resource of the cartridge is designed for approximately 6-8 months (2000 l with an iron content of up to 1 mg/l). This figure may vary depending on the quality of the source water. During use, regeneration of the cartridge is allowed - washing the backfill with running water. The BA module is designed to work in a cold main.

So, the BA cartridge will allow you to remove excess iron from the water, which gives it a yellowish tint and an unpleasant taste of rust, forming an iridescent film on the surface, and, most unpleasantly, causing an immunosuppressive effect on the body. Timely replacement of this module will contribute to the quality and effective work the entire filtration system.

The backfill filtering module Geyser BA 20"VV is used to purify well and borehole water from dissolved iron, manganese, heavy metals. Catalytic backfill Calcite is used to oxidize and precipitate iron compounds in BA 20"VV cartridges. Calcite alkalizes water, creating ideal conditions to accelerate the reactions of iron removal and complete water purification. Dissolved iron and manganese precipitate at a pH greater than 7. The resulting rust (in the backfill layer) serves as an excellent catalyst in the oxidation of ferrous iron to insoluble ferric compounds (iron cleans iron). Geyser BA 20BB cartridge filters purify well and water from shallow wells. The degree of purification is up to 3 mg/l of dissolved iron. The resource of the cartridge depends on the volume of water passed and on the degree of its contamination.
Cartridge BA 20BB is collapsible and filling. Spent backfill can be replaced with a new one.

Application of the cartridge Geyser BA 20"BB

The cartridge should be installed so that the water flow moves from top to bottom.
To improve the quality of cleaning, an ejector should be installed in front of the filter with a BA cartridge. The ejector pumps air into the water. In the presence of oxygen, the rate of oxidation and precipitation of dissolved iron and manganese increases.
Geyser BA 20"BB filter elements are used in triple systems, in combination with carbon and mechanical cleaning cartridges.
We recommend installing filters with a Geyser BA 20"BB cartridge in front of BF deironing filters, with Birm backfill. BA 20"BB alkalizes water and improves the quality of cleaning.
Geyser BA 20"BB filter modules are used by Geyser in 3I 20"BB (BA) filters. Cartridge BA 20 "VV in this model is installed on the first stage.
