Job responsibilities. Participates in the organization and coordination of labor protection work in the organization. Qualification requirements.

To identify working conditions in the workplace, a labor protection specialist takes part in conducting a special assessment of working conditions (SOUT) in the organization in accordance with Federal Law-426. The occupational safety specialist takes part in the work of the commission for carrying out the special safety assessment and organizes the interaction of the members of the commission for carrying out the special safety assessment. Also, based on the results of the special assessment, the occupational safety specialist must explain to employees what the results obtained during the special assessment and safety assessment mean, familiarize workers with the working conditions at the workplace - special assessment cards for the workplace, which contain all the information about the state of conditions and labor protection at the workplace.

In order to minimize the risk of workers receiving occupational diseases, assess the level of exposure to harmful and dangerous production factors on workers, maintain their health and determine the suitability of the assigned work for their health status, as well as prevent accidents at work, an occupational safety specialist on the basis of Article 213 The Labor Code of the Russian Federation and the requirements of the Order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia dated April 12, 2011 No. 302n, guided by the results of a special assessment of working conditions, compiles a list of workers subject to mandatory medical examinations.

In order to respect the rights of workers, as well as to identify the level of organization of work on labor protection in the divisions of the organization, a labor protection specialist, in accordance with the recommendations, monitors:

  • compliance in the structural divisions of the organization with legislative and regulatory legal acts on labor protection;
  • carrying out preventive work to prevent industrial injuries and occupational diseases;
  • implementation of measures aimed at creating healthy and safe working conditions in the organization;
  • providing employees with established compensation for working conditions provided for in Articles 92, 117, 147 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, issuing therapeutic and preventive food, milk and other equivalent food products in accordance with Article 222 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation and Order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia dated February 16, 2009 No. 45n.

In case of detection of violations of labor protection requirements, the labor protection specialist is obliged to present mandatory instructions to the heads of departments and other officials. The recommended form of the instruction is given in the appendix to the Recommendations for organizing the work of the labor protection service.

In accordance with Article 226 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the employer must allocate funds to finance measures to improve working conditions and safety. It is legally established that the employer must spend at least 0.2 percent of the total cost of production of products (works, services) on labor protection measures.
