About the newspaper
The newspaper “Friend for Drug” is the most read in the Kursk region
Since its founding - August 26, 1994 - the weekly “Druch dlya Dlya Druya” has grown from a free newspaper of advertisements into the most popular printed publication in the region.
The fact that our publication is in great demand is evidenced by the highest circulation: “For Each Other” is read and subscribed to by more than forty thousand Kursk families. So many people cannot be wrong: readers love the newspaper of different ages and social status.
It all started in 1994, when three entrepreneurs decided to create the first free newspaper in Kursk. The name “For Each Other” was invented by the first editor Sergei Fadeev. It turned out to be quite successful! At that time, only advertisements, private announcements and a television program were printed on four pages of the weekly magazine. In 1995, subscriptions to “For Each Other” were opened for the first time, and the publication expanded to eight pages.
Since the newspaper was originally intended to be independent, the editors never took the side of any local politician, trying to maintain a correct publishing style. Kursk residents, tired of political squabbles and streams of dirt in other print media, quickly assessed the position of the growing publication. By the fall of 1996, the circulation of “For Each Other” had grown from five to 12 thousand copies.
In November 1996, she became the founder of the newspaper. The newspaper “Druzha dlya druga” has changed its leadership. Alexander Martynkov became the editor-in-chief. The goal was set to bring the weekly to a leading position in the region. The editorial staff increased, the design of the newspaper changed, the number of pages first reached 16, and then 24. This made it possible to introduce new interesting sections and expand the volume of useful and reliable information offered to Kursk residents.
In 1999, the circulation of “For Each Other” became the largest in the region, and also certified. And it remains so to this day. In addition, “Friend for a Friend” is one of the few Kursk publications whose weekly circulation is officially confirmed by the independent auditing firm Unicom/MS Consulting Group (Moscow).
In 2000, Dmitry Sklyar, one of the “veterans” of the publication, was appointed to the position of director of the newspaper; he has been with “Druzha dlya dryaya” since 1996. Working with him almost from the very beginning are layout designer Anna Mareicheva, proofreader Veronika Nagibina, and typesetter Tamara Fedorovna Gvozdeva. Their efforts in creating the newspaper may not be as noticeable to the readers of “For Each Other” as the work of journalists, but they are no less important. Just like the daily work of the accounting department, headed by Tatyana Petrovna Pozdnyakova, and the advertising service, headed by Evgeny Poltoratskikh.
In November 2001, the editorial staff once again underwent changes. The weekly was headed by Elena Kondratyeva, who was noted at the traditional summing up of the year on Russian Press Day as the youngest Kursk editor. She was only 21 years old at the time. In January 2002, the newspaper was published on 32 pages. This made it possible to expand the sections beloved by readers and introduce new ones.
After Elena Kondratyeva moved to Moscow in September 2002, Evgeniy Novikov became editor-in-chief of “Friend for Each Other”. The changes in the team were minor - everyone in the editorial office is valued. But new people are gradually coming to the newspaper with new ideas, with a desire not only to maintain, but also to raise even higher the bar set by the newspaper.
Since the fall of 2002, the circulation of DDD has grown from 33 thousand copies to 43-45 thousand (depending on the season). The maximum circulation so far is 47 thousand copies. The subscription to “For Each Other” increased from 5 to 10 thousand. Although the main emphasis is still on retail, every six months the newspaper holds competitions for subscribers with valuable prizes. Our subscribers traveled to Paris and St. Petersburg, Turkey and Egypt, and Sochi on free trips.
A great help in popularizing the weekly “For Each Other” outside the region and among users worldwide network The Internet began with the creation in March 2003 of an electronic version of the newspaper. On the site you can not only get acquainted with the latest Kursk news, but also find out the weather forecast, take part in polls, chat in the chat and forum, and ask a question to the editor. Traffic to the site “For Each Other” is constantly growing. In March-May 2006 it was 1800-2500 users daily. The total number of visits to the site is rapidly approaching one million.
In September 2005, the site “For Each Other” was included in the affiliate program search engine. In May 2006, online news appeared on the “Friend for Each Other” website, and the electronic version itself moved to a new address (or). Frequent guests on the DDD website are residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Riga. In general, from all over Russia. Kursk residents and Russians living in the USA and the Czech Republic, Germany and France, Israel and Australia come to us. Thanks to the site, “DDD” can be read without knowing any boundaries.
At the end of 2004, the weekly magazine “Friend for a Friend” at the exhibition “All Press 2005” became a diploma winner of the competition “ Best ideas newspaper business." The publication itself and many of its employees receive a variety of awards every year from the regional Union of Journalists, government agencies and public organizations. Three employees were awarded Certificate of honor Kursk region.
At the end of 2005, the printed version of “DDD” underwent a new qualitative change. The appearance of the newspaper has changed - the publication partially switched to full-color printing. And the founder was Friend for Friend - Media LLC. The friendly team at “Each for Each Other” always tries to keep up with the times, introduce new ideas and improve their work in order to delight readers with fresh and reliable information.
At various times, journalists who now occupy serious positions in other Kursk and federal media, in various organizations, or are engaged in their own business, worked at “For Each Other” at different times. Irina Mokhova, Konstantin Vashchenko, Dmitry Khakhalev, Alexander Shuravin, Anna Pigoreva, Oleg Baglikov, Alexander Matyushin, Marina Grebenkova, Elena Slota, Tamara Ustyuzhanina, Elena Shmygleva, Vlad Sedletsky, Elena Mayakova, Gennady Borzenkov, Alexander Vishnevsky, passed through DDD. Olga Afanasyeva, Anna Narykova. It’s probably not possible to list them all (if you forgot someone, colleagues, let me know!).

Excerpt describing each otherAt first the old man looked at his son with fixed eyes and unnaturally revealed with a smile a new tooth deficiency, which Prince Andrei could not get used to.-What kind of girlfriend, darling? A? I've already spoken! A? “Father, I didn’t want to be a judge,” said Prince Andrei in a bilious and harsh tone, “but you called me, and I said and will always say that Princess Marya is not to blame, but it’s the fault... this Frenchwoman is to blame...” “And he awarded!.. he awarded!” the old man said in a quiet voice and, as it seemed to Prince Andrei, with embarrassment, but then suddenly he jumped up and shouted: “Get out, get out!” May your spirit not be here!.. Prince Andrey wanted to leave immediately, but Princess Marya begged him to stay another day. On this day, Prince Andrei did not see his father, who did not go out and did not allow anyone to see him except M lle Bourienne and Tikhon, and asked several times whether his son had left. The next day, before leaving, Prince Andrei went to see his son's half. A healthy, curly-haired boy sat on his lap. Prince Andrei began to tell him the tale of Bluebeard, but, without finishing it, he became lost in thought. He was not thinking about this pretty boy son while he was holding him on his lap, but was thinking about himself. He searched in horror and found in himself neither remorse for having irritated his father, nor regret that he (in a quarrel for the first time in his life) was leaving him. The most important thing for him was that he was looking for and did not find that former tenderness for his son, which he hoped to arouse in himself by caressing the boy and sitting him on his lap. Prince Andrei arrived at the army headquarters at the end of June. The troops of the first army, the one with which the sovereign was located, were located in a fortified camp near Drissa; the troops of the second army retreated, trying to connect with the first army, from which - as they said - they were cut off by large forces of the French. Everyone was dissatisfied with the general course of military affairs in the Russian army; but no one thought about the danger of an invasion of the Russian provinces, no one imagined that the war could be transferred further than the western Polish provinces. |
