Training on how to open a training center. Opening a training center: how difficult is it and how much does it cost? Starting capital and payback

I wanted to write an article that would have been really useful for me 8 years ago, when I myself began to launch my own training center - a studio for acting courses.

I then found many articles about how to open a training center. But there was a lot about how to choose statistics codes, how to register correctly, etc. But there were few concrete steps that I could take right away - without investments, special knowledge, etc.

In memory of my beginning and to help those active people who want to start doing the most wonderful thing - opening a training center - this article.

This information will be relevant for aspiring entrepreneurs who want to open a training center in the following areas:

  • child development centers
  • dance schools
  • creative courses
  • yoga schools
  • training centers
  • language schools
  • refresher courses
  • etc.

This article will not contain rules and axioms from textbooks on finance, economics and business. Only specific practical tips and observations are described here, born from my experience of launching a training center from scratch, launching a franchise of creative studios and the experience of hundreds of our colleagues and partners of training center managers from different cities in Russia and abroad.

ATTENTION! You may not like many thoughts. If you are a supporter of theoretical knowledge, you do not need to read further. This material will cause a lot of conflicting emotions and objections. Then don't write angry comments - I warned you.

Brief overview of the article:

Let's take a closer look at these questions:

  • Basic mistakes at the start
  • Where to begin
  • Working with the database
  • First clients
  • Consolidation and first personnel
  • Rent
  • Further development

Basic mistakes at the start

  • Writing a detailed business plan.(Fuck this plan!)

Stop writing! Take action!

I have never seen any entrepreneur start his small successful business with a business plan. When you are already starting your first, but already serious business, and will attract big investors, bankers, etc. - then the business plan is relevant.

At the initial stage, writing a business plan is like driving a pitchfork through water. Ephemeral indicators of incomprehensible systems.

In general, don't worry about your business plan at all. Below I will describe how to start with real things and immediately get results, instead of wasting a lot of time and energy on writing this very plan.

  • Search for an investor.(Spend yours!)

According to statistics, 95% of first businesses fail. And believe me, those who started this very 95%, just like you, did not think that they would fall into them. And if there is such a probability of failure, perhaps it would be better to fail so that you are left not with debts, but with experience? Business education is the most expensive.

And it’s better to figure out (or read below) how to start working with zero, and not with borrowed money. Then later, when you get access to borrowed funds, you will manage them wisely. Any fool can just spend money. Better think about how to earn them.

  • Finding a big idea.(Well, look for it while lying on the stove)

When I left a large audit corporation, some of my comrades told me that they would also quit, but if they got their idea, they would quit right away. 7 years have passed - they are still waiting and complaining about the huge workload and unhappy life.

Start immediately doing what you enjoy. Otherwise, you’ll simply create a “golden cage” for yourself, which will then be much more difficult to quit than your job. After all, it’s already YOURS!

Start with any idea, even the most banal one. We need to start ACTING! In the process, the idea will catch up, if it hasn’t arrived yet.

  • More focus on expenses(Playing businessman)

Rent an office; hire employees, managers; make beautiful business cards, booklets; spend a ton of money on advertising...

Test yourself - what are your first steps in your business? Steps that bring in money, or steps that spend that money? If it’s the second, then it’s NOT TRUE! Stop thinking about expenses. I repeat for the third time in this article (and I will repeat many more times) - think about how to make money with zero costs.

Where to begin?

  • Choose a topic that interests you(Is that really possible?)

Not the most expensive one, not the most fashionable one, but the one that you like. Love to dance - great! Get started. Love to draw - great! What you like is what you should try yourself at.

Only there is ONE CONDITION!

Leo Tolstoy spoke about the art of writing: “If you don’t have to write, don’t write.”

So you need to start a training center when you can’t help but start it! If you have doubts about the topic and whether you need it at all, don’t start. After all, this is a big responsibility. Any training center changes the world around it. Changes people. And if you do this without fanaticism, it’s better not to.

  • Create a free product.(Not a freebie! But a free benefit)

Give maximum benefit!

Do a master class, webinar, training, lecture - whatever. Some kind of event where you can show your expertise. Moreover, the participants of this event should receive maximum benefit! According to the law of conservation of energy, the more you give, the more you receive.

  • Tell your friends about the free product(First lucky ones)

Post information about the free product on your social media pages. Invite your friends and ask them to bring their friends. Where and how to hold this event will be described below.

You can also write to all student councils in your city - they can help you attract even more visitors.

If your topic is more for an adult audience, look for various communities, associations, etc.

  • Host your own free event.(Suddenly)

Conduct your own master class or webinar.

Be sure to record it on video or at least audio. This will be your starting material for filling the content of a website, blog or page on social networks.

The event can be held completely free of charge - negotiate. Various anti-cafes, free platforms from the Agency for Youth Affairs, training centers, etc. can help you. Seek and ask. Think about how you can be useful to the owners of the premises. At a minimum, you bring new people to this room. And this is a serious asset.

  • Start a blog on your topic(That's if he tramples)

If the free lesson went well, it was interesting to people and (more importantly) to YOU! - this means it’s worth developing this topic further.

Create a simple website or just a group on social networks and start posting content on your topic there. The first content will be a recording of your free event. You can use it to make articles, cut videos or audio clips.

And don’t think that there are already a lot of competitors in this topic of yours. Don't think about competitors at all. There will always be people who like your presentation and your teaching style. Believe in yourself.

  • Find partners in a related topic.(Any competitor can become a partner - the difference is in your head)

Think about who already has the same people who are interested in your topic?

If you are taking weight loss courses, then dance schools can be excellent partners for you. Do a free master class on proper nutrition there and get your first clients.

It’s always easier to look for those who are already working on your topic and who have a base than to build a base from scratch yourself.

And the base decides!

Working with the database

People are our everything!

The business of training centers is a business of communication and active work with clients.

If you constantly run around looking for those to whom you can sell your course once and quit, you will quickly become exhausted.

There are good statistics that selling to an existing client is 7 times cheaper and easier than selling to a new client.

So from the very beginning, start actively collecting the database and actively working with it.

I just had a problem with this. We worked for two years without collecting contacts of people who came to us. Now I really regret this.

I repeat once again - FROM THE VERY BEGINNING OF WORK START COLLECTING A BASE! Collect the email, phone and name of all your potential clients. This is the bare minimum to start with. Collect them at least in excel. If you feel strong enough, master the CRM system right away. This will make your life much easier. Find any one with initial free functionality and go ahead!

And understand, it’s not the number of people in the database that decides, but the relationship with them. Don't just write down your contacts and forget about them. Regularly send useful materials on your topic. And sometimes special good purchase offers.

First clients

  • First sales from our own and partner databases(If you do everything correctly, then here you will start earning money without spending a single ruble)

After your first free events, you have a small base of potential clients.

If you truly provide value at these events, there will be those who want more. They will want to buy. This is where you sell your first paid product. This could be a course, training, individual lesson - whatever you want.

For example, if you want to take up dancing, you held a free master class at any dance school, agreed with the owner on an hourly rental, and started leading one paid group in that hall. Then another and another, etc.

  • Legal registration(It’s better to work in “white”)

At the initial stage, no one will arrest you for your first students. But I recommend immediately learning to work in the “white”, because then you will have to do it anyway, and it will be difficult to get used to a smaller margin.

So you don’t need to register a legal entity at first. person - you can agree to work on the basis of an existing company. And so you test your idea. If everything goes well, you will already open your own company or individual entrepreneur.

Development and first personnel

  • Own company(This is already cool!)

Only at this stage, when you have tested the idea, have already begun to receive real money and the future seems bright - at this moment, start registering your company.

The statistics of closing companies, which I mentioned at the beginning of this article, would be completely different if everyone first tested their ideas for the possibility of making money, and then registered the company. Don't repeat the mistakes of the majority. Then your results will not be like most)

  • Hiring an assistant (Here you are the Boss!)

Your first employee is an assistant for a couple of hours a day. You can take a student or whomever you find. Just write an advertisement on your contact pages that you are looking for young, interesting guys who want to start working, and not delve into theory.

The simplest tasks. It’s difficult to give advice here - until you hire your first employee, you still won’t understand them and will do everything wrong. But there is no other way! Hire an assistant and begin your never-ending journey of improving your leadership skills.

Rent

This is generally an interesting topic. Many amaze with their Napoleonic desires (excuses). So, they say, when I have my own hall or even a building, then I will be able to start normally.

We started with different semi-basements renting by the hour. And this is what I advise you. I mean, not semi-basement premises, but rent by the hour.

You collect an advance payment from students, pay rent by the hour, and that’s great. Switching to monthly payment for your own hall makes sense ONLY when hourly rent of several halls costs you the same as the monthly rent of the hall.

It is at the moment when you know for sure that simply with the current number of students you can afford your own hall - then you rent your hall.

Approach the second hall in the same way - first by the clock, then the second hall, etc.

Further development

What is described above (before renting the hall monthly) can be done in a month. Yes, yes - in a month. How long have you been nurturing this idea and dream of yours? Enough to bear it - give birth already. It's time.

And when you go through all these stages, you will understand that you can start without money, without premises, etc. - these were the smallest problems on your way. Further more. But that's all the fun! Like in a computer game. The more experienced you become, the more difficult the levels and the more terrible your opponents. If this scares you, you are not an entrepreneur. But if interest sparks, then you are on the right track.

  • New employees(Immediately get used to the fact that finding good people will become your life’s work)

Will you hire new ones? teachers and have fun solving problems - how to motivate them to work better, how to make sure that the groups are not taken away and do not go to competitors =)

And when you grow up, you’ll hire a deputy or executive director. How to make sure that he doesn’t steal the business, so that he cares about development just like you...

  • New directions(Appetite comes with eating)

If you want to open new directions, tasks will appear - where to find time for these directions when you are stuck in routine, where to get money, where to get normal employees????

  • VIP directions(Already more interesting)

How to take 50, 100 thousand rubles from people without flinching for a month of your work. It’s more interesting to solve such problems)

  • Automation ( UUUU where did they get into)
  • Scaling(Eeeeeee)

And if everything worked out in the previous stages, you will want more! New branches, new directions, new cities, etc.

But this is a completely different story.

I hope I scared you.

I’ll quote Tolstoy again with a slight change: “If you don’t have to start a training center, don’t!”

This is a very difficult business. A lot depends on communication. But it is also an incredibly important and interesting business.

Every training center changes the world for the better. We develop creativity, improve health, open borders through learning different languages, help maintain families, relationships and peace of mind... We make people happier.

And I will be happy if this article helps open another training center that will make its students happier.

Good luck, friends!

“I have never met any entrepreneur who started his small successful business with a business plan” - Debatable, but in any case, the article is very, very interesting, and most importantly useful. I have this idea in mind, but I don’t know when the “birth” will occur. After reading it I got food for thought. Thank you.

The modern rhythm of life today dictates certain conditions that require a constant increase in the educational level to maintain competitiveness in the labor market.

Let's look at an article about how to open a training center and what is needed for this using the example of a business plan.

In this regard, short-term educational courses are especially popular - we will also look at what is needed to open training courses. Their main advantage is the concentration of necessary knowledge obtained in the shortest possible time.

Pros of this business

The educational business is currently very profitable for investors due to the following advantages:

  • high profitability (about 30%);
  • quick payback (0.5 – 1 year);
  • minimum starting investment (about $15 thousand)

The average monthly turnover for the training center is $10-15 thousand, and the price of a 40-hour course is about 3 thousand rubles.

How to open a training center - business plan

So, let's look at a brief example of a business plan for a training center for those who do not know how to open one.

The key to the success of the training center is a well-selected teaching staff. The problem of attracting students is solved by introducing new educational programs - these could be, for example, various exclusive courses for managers and marketers, developed by the center’s teachers themselves.

It is important that by using the option of opening a training center at any company, as an additional unit, or by renting a room for a certain number of hours at a college or university, you can significantly save on rent and equipment.

The concept of the establishment

Starting a business involves developing a special concept that allows the new center to stand out from its competitors. There can be many options; the following are examples:

  • a center with standard professional training courses: secretary-assistant, computer layout and design, accounting and taxation, etc.;
  • an authorized training center, for example, in working with certain computer programs.
  • training education;
  • original courses;
  • individual lessons on a special course.

Registration of a legal entity is carried out as a non-state educational institution. In this case, it is more convenient to choose a simplified tax system with payment of 6% of profit.

Recruitment

The staff consists of:

  • teachers (one for each course);
  • two or three consultants to determine the professional inclinations of students;
  • secretary;
  • accountant.

Salary costs average $300 per month for a consultant and accountant, $200 for a secretary. The teacher receives an hourly payment - about 200 rubles / hour.

Premises for a training center

The center, designed to train 100-150 people per month in four shifts, requires a room of 200 m2, including m2:

  • reception and director's office - 40;
  • two classes – 100;
  • computer class – 60.

Considering that rent for 1 m2 is $30, the total rental cost will cost $6 thousand per month.

Equipment

The minimum equipment required to open a training center includes, price in $:

  • projector – 1000;
  • tables (30 pcs.) – 1000;
  • chairs (20 pcs.) – 500;
  • computers (10 pcs.) – 3000-3500;
  • photocopier – 200;
  • fax – 100;
  • wardrobe – 100;
  • educational literature – 500.

Total: about $6,500.

Licensing

The legislation provides for licensing of educational activities. To obtain a license, the following documents must be submitted to the Education Committee:

  • a statement indicating the developed educational programs;
  • information on staffing levels, as well as the estimated number of students;
  • necessary information about the premises used for training;
  • information on the availability of the necessary literature for training and the material and technical base for conducting the educational process;
  • information about the teaching staff;
  • other information - about the founders, registration certificate, etc.

The submitted application is reviewed within a month.

Students – number and source of their enrollment

The profitability of the training center can be ensured by the presence of at least 100 students per month, studying 10 people in a group.

The bulk of students for training centers are found and attracted through advertising published in the media, the cost of which should be at least 10% of turnover (approximately $1000 per month).

Training centers are a popular business area, the potential of which is only just being revealed in Russia and in which free and profitable niches can be found. What is needed to open an educational center?

The rapid development of business in the segment of training and educational centers is a global trend. The concept of lifelong learning makes people use the services of training centers throughout their lives - from pre-school education to retirement age. Modern educational platforms make possible a minimum entry threshold and ensure good profitability of this business.

What is a modern training center

A modern training center is a complex business. Let's consider the main directions of its activities.

If 10-15 years ago a training center was a specialized training organization engaged in training students in any activity or several related areas of activity, now the training center is, in fact, a training and consulting company.

Trending product 2019

Thousands of ideas for making quick money. The whole world experience is in your pocket..

The modern learning process can be both group and individual. The individual training process is closer to the provision of consulting services, where experts provide training in accordance with the specific objectives of the client. Also, the process of group training becomes closer to individual training, since the training program changes flexibly in accordance with the wishes and objectives of the students. Training programs, in this case, become aimed at solving certain practical problems; there are many of them, each of them specifically expresses the requirements of a certain group of clients.

Another difference of a modern training center is that its clients are not only individual students, but business structures that want to improve the professional training of their employees in any area. Such work, when the client of the training center is a business, is called the B2B segment (business to business) and is currently the main driving force of the entire training industry, since if an individual student pays for his training on his own and, accordingly, has limited financial resources, then the business has much fewer such restrictions.

It should also be noted that training centers have already become not just additional education, but a constant companion of any professional. The rapid development of scientific and technological progress and the accumulation of knowledge throughout the world does not allow a professional to keep abreast of all modern trends. On the other hand, the pace of modern life does not leave time for independent development; it is much easier to take short-term training courses and get the best set of knowledge in the profession, which has already been chosen by professional teachers, based on world experience and the best practices used.

Another trend that determines the rapid development of training centers in the modern period is the constant change in the most popular and relevant professions and areas of activity. Many professions that were in demand 10-15 years ago are losing their relevance or are being supplemented with new functions that were previously unusual for them.

The simplest example is the accounting profession. Previously, this was a specialist in accounting, but now the accounting profession is inseparable from computer technology - this includes the use of reference and legal systems, specialized accounting programs, reporting programs and data exchange tools. Software is taking over and automating more and more accounting functions, but is forcing accountants to increasingly become software specialists. And there are thousands of such professions with similar trends. All these specialists need constant professional training at training centers.

Forms of organizing the work of the training center

At the moment, there are two main forms of organizing the educational process. This is online and offline training. The choice of this form, or rather, which form will prevail in the activities of the training center, largely determines its organization and operating principles.

Online learning (in English online or e-learning) is distance learning, when learning is carried out using the Internet in real time using conferencing programs or the listener watches already recorded video material.

Offline training is a classic type of training, when the student is trained in a classroom, usually as part of a group, and the trainer or teacher directly interacts with the students.

Let's consider what are the advantages of one and the other form of training.

Advantages of online training for a training center:

  1. First of all, it saves costs on the maintenance and equipment of training premises.

  2. The first advantage leads to the second advantage: prices for online training can be lower due to cost savings, meaning more people will be able to take advantage of your training programs.

    Using an online learning model, your training center can attract students from all over the country and even the world, significantly expanding its audience and, accordingly, its financial flows without significantly increasing costs.

    A comfortable learning environment for students who can study in a convenient place and time also helps to increase the audience of your courses and increase your profits.

But there are almost no benefits for the training center from conducting direct, offline training. The costs are higher, the audience that can be attracted is smaller. But there are a number of nuances. It is more difficult for people of a higher age category to study online. This occurs both due to the prevailing psychological attitude towards direct learning, and to the lack of experience and knowledge when working with a computer. It should also be taken into account that intermediate testing of knowledge is difficult to conduct online, especially final tests, based on the results of which a certificate of completion of the courses is issued. Of course, such a document can be provided to everyone who paid for the course, but this will significantly reduce the value of taking your courses in the eyes of students. One should not discount the fact that direct teaching provides better contact with the lecturer.

And finally, it should be taken into account that training courses provide students with the opportunity to acquire new contacts that are potentially useful in business terms, which is an important incentive for many students to take offline courses.

Ready ideas for your business

Thus, it is advisable to combine the advantages of online and offline training, combining these forms of training in such a way that your training center receives maximum profit.

The most profitable areas of study for a training center

The choice of direction for training is very important for the success of the created training center. It should be noted that you can teach anything - from manicure techniques to working in the cryptocurrency market. Of course, you, as the organizer of a training center, do not need to understand all the areas yourself. Your main task is to organize a business. Finding the best trainers or teachers, especially since you can offer part-time work, not full-time, is not difficult.

As for Russia, the market for additional education is estimated at more than 100 billion rubles. Almost seven million citizens of the Russian Federation are taking additional education courses.

According to market participants, the most popular courses are those lasting up to one month.

The entire market of additional education in Russia can be divided into two large parts: additional education for children and adolescents, and additional vocational education.

Ready ideas for your business

With additional education for children, everything is simple. The centers that prepare for the Unified State Exam (USE) are in greatest demand among training centers. This is understandable, since without special preparation for the Unified State Exam it is very difficult to score enough points to enter a higher educational institution. In second place in demand for children and adolescents are various language courses, especially English courses, which is due to the traditionally low level of its teaching in regular secondary schools. Next come art and sports education. The areas of additional art education are especially diverse. Both classical drawing courses and modern areas, such as photography or acting, are popular there.

Determining the list of the most popular courses for additional professional education is much more difficult; their list is too extensive. The majority of students in this segment (about 44%) updated their knowledge of a profession previously acquired in the higher or secondary education system. The students of these courses were professionals actively working in their main specialty, for example, accountants, auditors, lawyers. Courses aimed at training and additional training of education and health workers are in great demand.

Considering the industrial nature of the most popular areas of activity of the training center, we can note that the leading sector here is mining, which is associated, on the one hand, with the rapid technological development of the industry, and with the presence in this industry of sufficient financial resources, which, according to statistics, made it possible to involve almost every third of their employees in the field of additional education.

It is worth paying attention to such areas of additional education as Internet marketing, graphic design, logistics and corporate management, that is, those areas in which higher education does not keep up with modern development trends.

Speaking about additional professional education, one cannot fail to mention the concept of lifelong education, which is very popular in developed countries. In short, this concept provides for education “not for life, but throughout life.” According to this indicator, Russia lags significantly behind developed countries. In the Russian Federation, no more than 20% of workers participate in the process of continuous education; in the countries of the European Union this figure is twice as high. Thus, the potential for the development of additional professional education is enormous; the market should grow at least twice.

Ready ideas for your business

Therefore, let’s consider what trends exist in the market of additional professional education in developed countries, since the trends that exist there will soon be in demand in our country, we need to prepare for this in order to occupy our niche in advance.

First of all, these are courses related to business administration and management activities. For example, these include courses aimed at developing analytical skills, tools for making decisions in difficult situations, training to increase productivity and manage your own time. Training centers specializing in developing management and leadership skills for women are developing very quickly. In Russia, this area is poorly developed; gender in education in our country, as a rule, is not welcomed, but it is a global trend. It is worth taking a closer look at this direction.

Professional courses in cooking, psychological development and repair are very popular abroad.

So which direction should you choose as more profitable? There is no exact answer to this question. You cannot choose the specialization of a training center based on which areas are most in demand now - by the time you enter the market, you will have to compete for clients with training centers that will already have a strong reputation in this segment. Choose those areas of specialization of the training center that either allow students to retrain and get a more modern specialty, or earn more money in their specialty. Well, and, of course, fill your leisure time. Cooking courses are especially popular these days.

Legal aspects of creating a training center: licenses, certificates, permits

Let's start with the most important point - do you need a license for a training center? This is a complex issue from a legal point of view. In practice, this area of business is regulated by the federal law “On Education in the Russian Federation” dated December 29, 2012 N 273-FZ and the federal law “On licensing of certain types of activities” dated May 4, 2011 N 99-FZ. Don't look at the fact that the laws were adopted a long time ago. Every year they contain additions and clarifications; the practice of their application, due to the ambiguity of the wording, is quite complex. Without going into legal complications, we will answer this question simply.

A license is required for a training center. The exception is the case when teaching is conducted by an individual entrepreneur personally. He has no right to hire employees. As a rule, this is a tutoring activity. But the format of the training center that we are talking about in this article is different - we assume the creation of a training center with several teachers working on a permanent basis and several training programs. In this case, a license is required.

Of course, there are “legal” options to circumvent this law. One of them includes, for example, a scheme according to which each tutor enters into a separate agreement with students, and the training center enters into an agreement with each tutor or teacher for the rental of premises. The option is ambiguous from a legal point of view. We strongly do not recommend using this option without consulting with a qualified attorney in your area, as the actions of regulatory authorities may be completely different.

Therefore, we will consider what is needed to obtain a license for a training center. It all starts with choosing the organizational form of the training center. According to the law, these can be educational organizations and organizations providing training. Educational organizations are non-profit organizations (ANO, NOCHU, CHUDO and others). Organizations providing training are legal entities or individual entrepreneurs, including those with employees. We will choose the second option, since we are still going to carry out commercial activities, and the requirements for obtaining a license are lower.

Obtaining a license for an organization providing training is not particularly difficult. We will not dwell on this in detail, in general the scheme is as follows: obtaining an opinion from Rospotrebnadzor and the license itself from the Department of Education. Naturally, to obtain these documents, simply applications are not enough; a fairly large list of documents is also attached to them. You can obtain this list from employees of these bodies. The fee for obtaining a license is 7,500 rubles. Make sure to obtain this list in advance, as there are special requirements for premises for different types of training centers. For example, a children's training center must have at least three toilets: for boys, girls and for staff. And this cannot be organized in every room, so be careful.

If you do not want to go through this entire procedure yourself, then specialized organizations will help you. The period for obtaining such a license takes about three months, the cost of the service is from 30 thousand rubles.

There are some difficulties in choosing the OKVED code. The main code will be OKVED section P “Education”. But choosing a subsection can be difficult. It all depends on many factors: the duration of the courses, the form of organization, the type of services provided. In this matter, we strongly recommend that you consult Rosstat or Rosstandart in your region, or contact the appropriate law firm for advice. Various regulatory authorities may have complaints on this issue, so it is better to clarify all the nuances in advance.

Investments, profits and financial performance of the training center

Let us immediately determine that the issue of investment and profitability of a training center depends on many factors. If you plan to start with online courses and teach them yourself, then the investment will be from 50 thousand rubles. All you need to do is purchase a computer with Internet access, register an individual entrepreneur and spend a certain amount on advertising. Advertising on social networks will work best in this case. Preferably on Facebook. But it all depends on the focus of your courses. For example, Instagram would work better for cooking courses.

If your activity is related to offline learning, then first of all, you need premises that meet certain requirements for educational institutions. The cost of renting such a room may not be very high, since its area can be from 25-30 square meters. Repairs may be needed, but this is all individual.

Another significant expense item may be the purchase of office and computer equipment, a projector and other equipment necessary for the educational process. If your courses are related to computers and you need to equip each training place with them, then the cost of this can range from 300 thousand rubles for ten training places. In rounded terms, if we rent a room, it does not require significant repairs, and we equip each training place with a computer, then the cost of organizing such a center, including furniture, will be from 600 thousand rubles. It is also necessary to provide a few months' operating reserve to pay rent and wages until you reach operating breakeven. The total cost of opening an offline training center will be from 1 million rubles.

As for expenses, the main part will be the salaries of teachers or experts who will conduct training. Profit will directly depend on the number of students in your courses and the number of teachers. Let's give an example. Suppose you organized an offline training center with three teachers, that is, for three programs. The duration of training is one month for all programs. The average number of listeners per program is 10 people. The cost of the course is 8 thousand rubles. Thus, your revenue will be about 240 thousand rubles. Expenses, taking into account rent, wages, taxes and advertising, will amount to about 180 thousand rubles. In total, your income will be about 60 thousand rubles per month.

As for online courses, with minimal investment and high-quality, in-demand course areas, we can get more than 50 people on the course. The profit from the course can be more than hundreds of thousands of rubles.

The payback period for a training center is on average about one year.

There are also less obvious ways to monetize online training centers. For example, you can earn money by providing completely free training. The model looks like this. Russian partners of Coursera provide their training courses for free, but charge a fee for passing certification and obtaining a certificate. Having prepared a small number of courses in Russian and spending about $2 million on their preparation, the Russian division of Coursera received annual revenue of about $3 million. That is, it recouped its costs in less than a year. But these courses can bring profit for years.

Marketing and promotion of the training center

Here are a few basic rules that must be followed when promoting an educational or training center.

    Strive to sell your products to as wide an audience as possible: companies, children, their parents, students. For example, if we are talking about a children's center, then if you do not present your course to parents in a favorable manner, you will not acquire a client, and if you do not captivate the child in the first lesson, then he will not come again.

    The main promotion channel for a training center is virality, that is, a method of advertising when information is transmitted by the users themselves, in other words, “word of mouth”.

    Make upsells. Suppose, for those who have completed the initial course, offer a more expensive advanced one, and then an expert one.

    Use social networks for promotion. They make it easy for users to share the information they like. Post on the pages of your training center not news and advertising information, but specific cases and solutions, let readers on social networks see the potential of your courses.

    Constantly receive feedback from your listeners. This will not only allow you to make your courses increasingly useful and effective, but will also increase customer loyalty. Be sure to ask trainees to review their courses on your website or social media page.

Franchise and online platforms for a training center

Even if you are planning to open an offline training center, you need to add an online component to its program in order to expand the audience and attract new clients. Modern special platforms allow you to do this easily and with almost no investment.

For a small fee, you will not only get all the tools you need to conduct online training, but also the ability to receive payment and make upsells. Many sites have a free period for conducting several online seminars. You can easily and without investment evaluate the effectiveness of this form of training.

Is it possible today to find a free niche in the training business in which you can earn a stable income? The answer is “yes”! And for this it is not necessary to invest millions; 80 thousand rubles is enough.

Today, the word “training” has begun to be heard in the information space so often that it seems to have already turned into white noise. Psychological training, business training, motivation training, sales training, personal growth, lead generation, team building, creativity - how many other different trainings have you heard or attended personally? It would seem that it is almost impossible to find a free niche for starting your own business through trainings - supposedly “author’s” methods wander from coach to coach, and all topics have been covered a long time ago. But it seems so only upon superficial examination.

Trainings in which the coach is not the main thing

As you know, the abundance of competitors in the market inevitably leads to the fact that the cost of the product ultimately decreases. Moreover, you and I live in an era when any information can be found and “absorbed” for free - if there is a desire. Sooner or later, most consumers will understand that for 90% of knowledge there is no need to pay in principle, and that what is served under the sauce of uniqueness and author's exclusivity is just mashed potatoes made from common free potatoes.

Increase sales without investment!

“1000 ideas” - 1000 ways to differentiate yourself from competitors and make any business unique. Professional kit for developing business ideas. Trending product 2019.

Another thing is personalized, individual information. The demand for it will never dry up. What is meant by personalized information? Imagine such training. 5 different personalities come to your training center at the same time. One of them is a 45-year-old woman who is in a state of midlife crisis. The relationship with her husband has reached a dead end, there is a career ceiling at work, and there are two children and elderly parents on her neck. The second client is a young man 25-27 years old who wants to open his own online store selling sports equipment, but does not know what strategy to choose for a startup. The third person is a man of about 55 years old, the head of his company, who wants to find new ways to unite his unexpectedly quarreling work team. Let's add to our contingent, for example, a young elegant lady, a fashion designer who has lost her inspiration somewhere, and another girl, a call center operator, whose boss urgently instructed her to increase sales 10 times. Now imagine that each client from this group was satisfied with the training and went home, if not with a ready-made solution to their problem, then at least with an answer to several questions that concern them or a plan of action. I can't believe it, don't I?

No matter how cliché it may sound, the whole secret is that all the right answers lie within ourselves. Even more, the role of a consultant or trainer is not only overrated, it is secondary. We can say that the best coach or psychologist is not so much the one who gives a lot of valuable advice, but the one who knows how to direct the client’s thoughts, reasoning and conclusions in the direction in which he himself will find the correct and suitable solutions for him personally. Moreover, for this he does not have to be at the same time a specialist in family relations, a guru in the field of fashion design, or have experience in cold sales. It is enough for him to know effective tools... to find answers to questions. Here we move on to the description of a new unique training methodology, the potential of which has largely not yet been revealed.

A technique that suits any request

Solving the question of how to increase the efficiency of the process of “searching for answers in oneself,” the company “1000 Ideas” developed a methodology of psychological sets of tips for various requests - problems of a family nature, self-development and self-knowledge, professional growth, opening and building a business, money and motivation, interpersonal relationships, building relationships in a team, promoting goods and services, developing creativity and many other topics. These universal sets were called psychological cards (not to be confused with fortune telling, tarot, etc.).

“How many maps did it take to create so that they could answer all the questions and solve all the problems?” - you ask. “Maybe the authors of the method opened their own file cabinet or created a new Internet?” Vice versa! The task was precisely not to create a new “Internet”. You will be surprised, but only 3 decks of 78 cards each were created. Despite such a seemingly insignificant volume, colossal work was done. The main work consisted in generalizing the “world experience”: fairy tales of various peoples of the world, mythology, repeating plots of classical works and all those patterns of behavior that lie in our unconscious nature. All professions, personality types and social roles with their inherent characteristics and traits were combined into basic archetypal characters, all options for action - into archetypal paths and strategies of action.

The specialists of the “1000 Ideas” company, being practicing medical psychologists, tried to make sure that each card gave the client a whole stream of associations with his own life and facilitated a quick search for answers to personal problems. Each card is a unique strategy, presented simultaneously in the form of textual advice, images, phraseological units, leading questions, techniques and techniques, and united by a common thought. Psychological maps turned out to be such a versatile tool for counseling and solving problems that the authors of the methodology developed more than 300 exercises for various requests, helping to achieve results in the shortest possible time, and the methodology itself became widespread throughout the country and abroad. Today, the geography of official partners of “1000 Ideas” already includes 22 cities in Russia and the CIS.

The coach's net profit is more than 100 thousand rubles.

The most important difference between a training business on psychological maps is the ability to start on your own, in an extremely short time (up to 1 month), with minimal investments of around 80 thousand rubles and with a powerful competitive advantage in your hands. 60 thousand rubles will be spent on teaching the methodology, and about 20 thousand more - on the purchase of the psychological cards themselves. The training takes place over eight days, six of which are devoted to mastering the methodology and two to creating and promoting your own business. Anyone who wants to start their own training business has two options - work as an independent consultant or open their own training center. Ready-made business plans are provided for both options. In the first case, upon achieving the sales plan, the entrepreneur can count on a net profit of about 125 thousand rubles, in the second - about 234-250 thousand rubles. If we are talking about independent consulting without creating a training center and hiring staff, the payback period is minimal and amounts to 1-2 months.

In both cases, the income part includes conducting group trainings, individual consultations (online and offline format), as well as the sale of psychological maps themselves to clients. Thanks to the implementation of psychological maps, business profitability increases significantly. Moreover, there is no need to sell cards to consultants - clients themselves ask for cards when they see the result. Naturally, official partners who have completed the “1000 Ideas” training course purchase cards at a discount. Another advantage is that consultants can provide their services to an unlimited number of clients, regardless of their location. For this purpose, the company has developed a special online service that allows you to work with electronic versions of psychological cards.

The expenditure portion of the main period of work consists of the costs of renting office space or a hall, purchasing psychological cards and consumables. According to the company’s experience, renting a suitable office for trainings costs between 8-12 thousand rubles per month. The most effective advertising tools are social networks and e-mail marketing. At the first stages, advertising costs for the activities of an independent consultant will not exceed 10 thousand rubles. The number of cards purchased will depend on the number of trainings conducted, while consumables only imply the purchase of office supplies, as well as sweets and drinks for coffee breaks. The advantage is that the company is directly interested in the success of its partners and the popularization of the methodology, and therefore they are provided with free centralized support.

Features of business: advantages and pitfalls

Of course, the main advantage of the training business with psychological maps is the breadth of application of the methodology. Partners of the “1000 Ideas” company use psychological maps in combination with their own knowledge and skills, adapting and improving the methodology for working with children, conducting fairy tale therapy, psychological consultations for women, aromatherapy, training for senior management, HR specialists, and sales specialists , marketers. Most of the company's partners, having mastered the technique of working with cards, create their own exercises to suit the requests of their clients. The peculiarity of working with cards is that no matter who the client is, seeing such an unusual and fascinating tool as psychological cards, he will be 100% involved in the work. This advantage, firstly, allows you to reduce the trainer’s “nervousness”, since the audience’s attention switches from him to the cards, and secondly, it forces the audience to work much more actively, giving live feedback. As a rule, all trainings with psychological maps are a productive dialogue between all participants.

Ready ideas for your business

Another advantage of consultations using psychological maps is the absence of legal barriers. You can start this business without licenses and even without the education of a psychologist. At the official level, there are no clear boundaries for psychological and consulting services, so many individuals register such businesses either as household services or according to OKVED codes related to consulting services for business. For example, 70.22 “Consulting on business and management issues,” 82.99 “Activities to provide other support services for business, not included in other groups.” In the case of registration as medical services (for medical psychologists), a license from the Ministry of Health and a medical education of a psychologist are required. The most convenient organizational and legal form of business is an individual entrepreneur, the tax rate is simplified (6% of income).

Of course, like any business, there are pitfalls. Consulting services are characterized by a high degree of uncertainty for the client, who cannot adequately evaluate the service before receiving it. In this regard, the need to collect a large number of attributes of “trust” increases significantly: certificates and diplomas, evidence of participation in various specialized events, and most importantly, a large number of positive reviews. Constant feedback from the client and maintaining a dialogue on social networks are required. Sometimes difficulties in relationships arise due to traditional attitudes, when the client thinks that “a service is when something is done for me, but definitely without my participation, which helps me save time or health.” In addition, there is also seasonality in psychological services with the greatest decline in the summer. Minimizing risks in this case involves holding the largest and most expensive events in the summer, the audience for which is pre-formed in the spring.

Ready ideas for your business

In any case, trainings and consultations with psychological maps have several undeniable benefits compared to conventional ones. Firstly, the technique is just being mastered, so there is no competition in the market. Secondly, it not only produces results, it is competitive. A person who has attended a training once, as a rule, either recommends it to his friends or purchases psychological cards for himself or as a gift to friends. Thirdly, this technique is understandable. Unlike most techniques, it does not operate with an array of Latin names alien to a person, but communicates with him in a language of associations, comparisons and metaphors that he understands and quickly wins him over. Finally, fourthly, the technique itself is perceived as a tool for everyday use. Having tried it in action, people trust it, which sets it apart from its competitors. Most users of psychological cards perceive them as a set of universal tips and purchase several sets for use at home and at work. And client trust, as we know, is an expensive thing.

We are often asked - “How to open a training center”, how difficult is it, how expensive is it?

The budget for the opening and operation of the training center will include the following expense items:

  • Creation and opening of a training center.
  • Licensing.
  • Development of training programs, production of training manuals, manuals, presentations, etc.
  • Creation of a training site.
  • Creation of material and technical base.
  • Support and development of the training center.
  • Rent.
  • Payments to teachers and staff.
  • Promotion of the training center.
  • Adding new professions to the license.
  • Improving the material and technical base.
  • Training site support.
  • Creation and adjustment of new training programs.

Naturally, this list does not reflect many “little things”, and also does not reflect the “intangible part” - your personal time and nerves.

Training centers of organizations are distinguished by several points.

Who does not require a license for educational activities?

Firstly, they often do not need a license - after all, they are not going to take money from their own staff, dealers and partners for training. So this point can be excluded. But then those who have completed the training will receive “candy wrappers” instead of serious “crusts”. But this makes the process cheaper.

Secondly, organizations may try to save money on the work of the training center by assigning unpaid additional work to already overburdened staff. There can no longer be talk of any material and technical bases, much less serious training programs. Because of this, creating a corporate training center becomes similar to creating a “corporate leaflet” that no one reads, or a “corporate drinking party” that divides people.

Finally, it is important for organizations to pay attention to such important elements as introducing their own ideology and norms through the training center. This is additional effort and financial costs that are necessary.

It is realistic to open and make a serious training center self-sufficient within a period of 2–3 months to 1 year.

How to open a training center for hairdressers and manicurists: business idea

The need to tidy up the hair on the head has become automatic in humans. Caring for hands and nails is also a requirement at the genetic level. Therefore, the rapid growth in the number of establishments offering haircut and manicure services is taken for granted. But where can you get so many service personnel? The answer is found by enterprising people who organize hairdressing training courses. At the same time, they are introducing training in the art of manicure and training specialist stylists.

The business turns out to be quite profitable and not the most difficult to organize. By registering as an autonomous (independent) non-profit organization, an entrepreneur does not need any additional licenses or special permits.

Sanitary standards for one hairdressing place are required. But based on 5 training places, finding a spacious room in the city with an area of no less is not so difficult.

Since the location of the training center does not play a special role, you can save a little on rent, but it will still cost a pretty penny (per square meter - 2.5 thousand rubles). Interior furniture and educational equipment (chairs, counters, mirrors, sinks) can be purchased domestically. The equipment for each workplace will cost up to ten thousand rubles.

A significant cost item is consumables. Comfortable sharp scissors, high-quality paints, professional combs, massage brushes, brushes for basting and hair coloring, hairdressing negligees and other paraphernalia will cost up to $1 thousand. Each student will also need a training dummy for 1.5 thousand rubles.

It is advisable to put training on stream, recruiting up to 5 groups of 5 people at a time.

How to open a training center? Algorithm for how to start making money on knowledge!

The average cost of three-month hairdressing courses is around 22 thousand rubles. The minimum positive profitability is obtained by enrolling at least 10 students per course.

If time and opportunity permit, you can supplement your basic studies with a short-term additional course (for example, a series of classes “Wedding hairstyles”). This will add another 12 thousand per person to the “income bank”.

Classes will be held in an intensive mode, which not every teacher is able to withstand. Therefore, when choosing a candidate for a teacher, a special approach is needed. In addition to high individual professional skills, the teacher must be able to convey his skills and knowledge to students. It will require both psychological endurance and physical endurance. The valuation of such teaching work will be about 15,000 rubles.

Manicure courses are organized according to a similar scheme. Only according to sanitary standards, one manicurist is enough. Purchasing equipment and furniture to equip a manicure workplace will be cheaper than hairdressing costs. Only 3 thousand rubles will be needed for one student kit, which includes all kinds of files, scissors, brushes, spatulas, as well as a special grinder and sterilization equipment. Each student needs at least three manicure sets. Invite an authoritative stylish master who has something to teach beginners to play the role of teacher. This will make your wallet thinner by about forty thousand, but will add prestige and popularity to the school.

The cost of a manicure course is about 11 thousand, but groups can be made up of up to 8 people. By analogy with hairdressing training, basic manicure courses can be accompanied by additional ones. For example, a series of classes on nail extensions costs 8 thousand, and art painting courses cost 10 thousand rubles.

Some students strive to master both the art of hairdressing and manicure. Try to reward this zeal with a small discount on tuition. This can become a role model that will bring you additional benefits.

Another incentive for students will be the guarantee of their employment after completing the courses. You can secure such a privilege if you enter into contracts with beauty salons on terms favorable to both parties. The image of the school from such cooperation will only increase, which will bring additional dividends over time.

How to create an educational organization?

Our lawyers quite often receive letters from website visitors with questions about opening private schools, kindergartens, various training courses, etc. Therefore, we decided to cover this issue in a separate article.

Educational activities are regulated by the Federal Law “On Education in the Russian Federation” (hereinafter referred to as the “Law”).

The definition of education is given in the Law - it is understood as “a single, purposeful process of education and training, which is a socially significant benefit and carried out in the interests of the individual, family, society and the state, as well as the totality of acquired knowledge, skills, values, operational experience and competence certain volume and complexity for the purpose of intellectual, spiritual, moral, creative, physical and (or) professional development of a person, satisfying his educational needs and interests.”

The definition of the term “training” is somewhat different from the above, which, according to the Law, is “a purposeful process of organizing the activities of students to master knowledge, abilities, skills and competence, gain operational experience, develop abilities, gain experience in applying knowledge in everyday life and forming motivation in students lifelong learning."

According to the Law, educational activities have the right to be carried out by:

  • educational organizations which can only be created in the form of non-profit organizations;
  • organizations providing training— scientific organizations carrying out educational activities, organizations for orphans and children left without parental care, organizations providing treatment, health improvement and (or) recreation, organizations providing social services, and other legal entities;
  • individual entrepreneurs- both those carrying out individual teaching activities and those involving hired teaching staff.

Let us note that the previously valid version of the Law (until September 1, 2013) excluded commercial organizations from the educational process - LLCs, joint-stock companies and similar legal entities, the purpose of which was to make a profit, were not entitled to conduct educational activities.

Educational activities carried out by legal entities, as well as individual entrepreneurs involving teaching staff, are subject to mandatory licensing. At the same time, educational activities carried out by an individual entrepreneur directly (i.e. personally, without hiring other teachers) are not licensed.

As an example of an activity that an individual entrepreneur can conduct without a license, one can bring tutoring, tutoring, etc.

The procedure for licensing educational activities carried out by educational organizations, organizations providing training, as well as individual entrepreneurs (with the exception of individual entrepreneurs carrying out educational activities directly) is established by the legislation of the Russian Federation on licensing of certain types of activities, as well as by the relevant Resolutions of the Government of the Russian Federation.

A municipal is an educational organization created by a municipal entity (municipal district or city district).

2) organization of additional professional education - an educational organization that carries out educational activities in additional professional programs as the main goal of its activities.

The educational organizations listed above have the right to carry out educational activities according to the following educational programs, the implementation of which is not the main goal of their activities:
1) preschool educational organizations - additional general developmental programs;

Other legal entities have the right to carry out educational activities under vocational training programs, educational programs for preschool education and additional educational programs.

To carry out educational activities by the organization providing training, a specialized structural educational unit is created within its structure. The activities of such a unit are regulated by regulations developed and approved by the organization providing training.

As already mentioned, activities in the field of education have the right to be carried out by legal entities - educational organizations and organizations providing training, as well as individuals (citizens) registered as individual entrepreneurs.

The requirements for the constituent documents of legal entities operating in the field of education have their own specifics. Those interested in this question will find the answer to it in the Law; here we only note that the charters of such organizations must contain information about the educational programs in accordance with which training will be conducted.

Since educational organizations according to the Law can only be non-profit organizations, their registration is carried out by the authorized state body - the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation and its regional Directorates (in particular, in St. Petersburg - the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Justice of Russia for St. Petersburg). More information about registering non-profit organizations can be found on this page.

As mentioned above, organizations providing training can be created both in the form of NPOs and commercial organizations. In the latter case, the registration authority for them is the tax office (in St. Petersburg - MI FTS No. 15). Registration of such organizations is carried out by the tax authority in a general manner, no different from the procedure for registering “ordinary” LLCs.

Similarly, the registration procedure for individual entrepreneurs - both those carrying out educational activities directly and those who hire teaching staff, with the exception of the need to additionally submit certificates of no criminal record, is no different from the registration procedure for individual entrepreneurs in other areas of activity. The registration authority is the tax office.

After state registration, the subject of educational activity (educational organization, organization providing training or individual entrepreneur who has attracted teaching staff) must obtain a license, and only after that can he begin to provide educational services. The requirements for license applicants can be found in the Law and in the relevant Decrees of the Government of the Russian Federation.

After a certain period has passed after receiving a license, an educational organization has the right, in the manner and within the time frame established by the Government of the Russian Federation, to apply to the Ministry of Education (or other relevant state body of the Ministry of Education system) with an application to obtain state accreditation.

Educational organizations that have state accreditation and implement general education (except for preschool) and professional educational programs have the right to issue state-issued documents on the level of education and (or) qualifications received to persons who have passed the final certification.
