Station "Cossack Lopan". Railway station. Customs rules of Ukraine: personal experience

It seems to me that any village begins with the “doors” - from the train station, or station, where a person gets off the train or commuter train, setting his foot on the platform for the first time.
Let's see what it is like - the Cossack Lopan station?
What does this building contain? What story can he tell us about himself and the village?

To begin with, I want to give some statistics.
Railway station Cossack Lopan. MZhPP "Cossack Lopan".
District station 2nd class. At the station there is a customs office, border and customs control trains heading to Russia. Some long-distance trains do not stop at Kazachya Lopan station. As a rule, such trains pass through border control at the Kharkov-Pasazhyrsky station.
Distance to Kharkov - 40 km.
The distance to Belgorod is 43 km.

Train schedule at Kazachya Lopan station

The history of the station begins with the history of the construction of the Southern Railway in the 19th century. they are talking about the opening date of the station --1869 ( By the way, next year will be the station’s 150th anniversary! Anniversary!)

In the 90s of the 19th century, eight main railway junctions were finally formed in European Russia, serving the most important economic regions of the country. The leading place in the Russian railway transport system belonged to the Moscow junction. The other largest railway junction in Russia was St. Petersburg, which was also the first seaport. The third most important node was Kharkiv- the center of the southern Russian industrial region, covering five provinces and regions of the south of the country (Kharkov, Ekaterinoslav, Kherson, Tauride provinces and the Don Army Region). ()
The history of the Southern Railway begins in the second half of the 19th century, when at the end of February back in 1868 the project was submitted for consideration, and already in early March a telegram was received from St. Petersburg from Kharkov mayor M. Shatunov with the following content: “Our petition was crowned with success. A High Order was issued on the construction of the Kursk-Kharkov-Azov railway. Work is expected to begin simultaneously along the entire route. Congratulations to the city! " Thus, a decision was made to build a highway, which began in May 1868 from the Belgorod-Kharkov section. A year later, in May 1869, Kharkov residents met the first train. Regular traffic in the Kursk-Belgorod-Kharkov direction, with a length of 229 versts, was opened in July 1869, and before the end of the same 1869, the direction from Kharkov to Rostov, with a length of 538 versts, also began operating. ()

The stone two-story station building in Cossack Lopan was built after the war, in 1949, and in 2004 its restoration and reconstruction was carried out. This is how we see him today.
Personally, I was pleased with the new benches at the front of the building, and even more pleased with the bicycle parking on the left side of the station.

From my mother’s stories, at the station there was a special two-story house in which railway workers lived. This house has survived to this day.

When I asked my mother what she remembers from her childhood and youth related to the Kazachansky station, she told me a sad story...

Mom was just a child, but she remembers how after the war a woman walked around the station with a shabby bag and a greasy, soot-black kettle. It was rumored that she had once been a teacher at school, but during the war the Germans burned her house and allegedly burned a star on her back, after which she lost her sanity and lived in a dugout...

My grandmother, Maria Pavlovna Skorbach, worked at the station ticket office for some time.
Mom recalls that as children they often came running to her and spent the night in a small room at the station.

In 2009, a note appeared on the Internet that the station was going to be seriously reconstructed in 2010.

"This will be a major reconstruction, after which the station will be worthy of bearing the title of the Northern Gateway of the region", noted the head of the road.
As V. Ostapchuk reported, it is planned to reconstruct the temple at the station and build a pedestrian bridge.

About the temple. “The project for the new church was approved in 2002. The foundation of the new church appeared in 2005, the walls were completed in 2014, the roof was made the following year, three domes were installed, and the bell tower was completed.” ()

I wonder what reconstruction was it discussed in 2009?
And I don’t remember the pedestrian bridge...

In 2017, a memorial plaque was unveiled at the Kazachya Lopan station. (

In Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, there is a Veterinary Control service at border checkpoints. This is where you need to go with the documents for the dog. The procedure at each border point is different - somewhere you need to visit the veterinary control before passport and customs control, somewhere during, somewhere after. The same applies to choosing the green or red corridor (sometimes the dog is required to declare). There are no uniform rules; everything is decided by the human factor. Therefore, upon arrival at the checkpoint, it is better to resolve all these issues immediately with the customs officers, so as not to waste time by going to the wrong queue.

At Ukrainian checkpoints, be prepared for the fact that your documents for the dog are not in order. You may be missing some mythical photocopy or something similar. Such problems are solved with a small amount (the maximum in our experience is 300 rubles). If there is absolutely nothing to complain about, you may be openly asked to “thank” the veterinarian. By the way, I am still proud of my answer to this request - “Thank you!”))

In Europe there is no border veterinary control service. The only thing is that they may ask you to take the dog out of the car. Neither the chip nor other documents were checked even once; it was enough to show the veterinary passport from afar.

Road trip to Europe with a dog

Train 027 Moscow - Kislovodsk - Sochi

I crossed the border in Kharkov almost without any questions. The customs officers asked about the laptop and said no. Fuck off. But somewhere in the middle between the borders, two people appeared: one in a police uniform, the other in civilian clothes. They did not introduce themselves and did not present any documents.

The one in civilian clothes asked to show things, as soon as he saw it, he began to unceremoniously rummage through the bags. Moreover, he could easily sneak anything into the bag. This, perhaps, was the main reason that he did not become indignant - it was more expensive for himself.

I went home to my laptop and started looking, but apparently I didn’t have much time, I was looking for porn or something else. The mood is disgusting, complete insecurity. Probably this chaos has the official favor of the Ukrainian authorities, otherwise these rats from the police would not be so impudent.

Do not take laptops, media, any contracts, pills without prescriptions! At customs near Taganrog, the customs officer turned his purse inside out, couldn’t believe that there was not enough cash, apparently he hadn’t heard about credit cards...

In general, you need to run into Russian Railways, that’s who should negotiate with the crests

Arbitrariness of customs on the Kislovodsk-Moscow train

November 2013 LILYA

my relative was traveling on train No. 28 Kislovodsk-Moscow.

The customs officer took 650 rubles from her, just like that. The reason is “there is no certificate for the food she ate on the train.” Relative citizen of Ukraine

Huge queues at Ukrainian-Belarusian customs in Chernigov

August 2013 Anastasia

Although the holiday season is coming to an end, I will still write about our experience going through Ukrainian-Belarusian customs (Chernigov) in August 2013, because... I promised myself to do it. So, we drove in our car from Russia to Crimea. When choosing a route, we were guided by the review of a friend who drove there in June and was pleased: he crossed the border quickly, was happy about the good roads in Belarus, etc.

As we were able to verify from our own experience, in August the picture there is completely different (due to the increasing flow of tourists or I don’t know yet why). In general, both times we approached the border late in the evening/at night, when, in theory, the queues of cars should be smaller, but nothing like that. And back and forth we stood in long, slowly moving queues, watched as enterprising citizens traded for a place in the queue ($150), and negotiated with Ukrainian customs officers. In the buffer zone, the queue did not move at all for 2 hours, then it started moving several meters at a time. I don’t know what was happening there, but we stood in complete darkness, even to the toilet, sorry, you don’t know how or where to go, just like in purgatory. Horrible... The whole procedure took us 8 and 6 hours (there and back), and most importantly, it is absolutely unclear what created such queues, since several corridors were open. Friends last year drove along the Don highway and went through Russian-Ukrainian customs in 2-3 hours...

Kozacha Lopan. Cop lawlessness

06/21/2013 Ilyas

I bought a train ticket to Kharkov from Moscow. 06/21/13 arrived at the Kozacha Lopan station, where he was invited to the vestibule by a police officer. During the conversation, the employee suggested that I give him money in the amount of 5,000 rubles, or otherwise he would drop me off. I asked why they would drop me off? In response I heard that we will find a reason, no question! Then they brought me to their police department and asked me to think carefully and give a bribe, otherwise they will plant drugs and find witnesses, it’s better not to anger us! There were three employees, I gave them 3,000 rubles, and at 06:12 I left for Moscow! The police were pleased, they will have something to please their wife and children!)) The only question is - how long will this continue!?

Hide your laptops or you'll have to pay

02/21/13 Tatyana

We returned from Sevastopol, as usual, customs took away the immigration documents and then the personal belongings were checked by Ukrainian customs officers. We took a laptop with us on the road so that the journey would not be boring, and then we really regretted it. The customs officer decided to check if there was anything prohibited there, we naturally were in full confidence that there was nothing like that there, but that was not the case. He studied the entire video several times, but there was nothing, then, somehow, surprisingly, a video recording of a man and a woman kissing appeared there, the customs officer said that this was the distribution of pornography and began to threaten to throw him out of the train. But if we don’t want this, then we have to pay 5 thousand rubles, we had to pay, this is how the return from vacation was ruined, more in life with me, moving across the border, I won’t take any digital media, it will be cheaper, because customs is so brazenly, that they will make a violation out of thin air and fine you.

Notes

- Yes, I certainly won’t start chasing a young man in front of guests...
“Well, she achieved her goal,” Nikolai intervened, “she said unpleasant things to everyone, upset everyone.” Let's go to the nursery.
All four, like a frightened flock of birds, got up and left the room.
“They told me some troubles, but I didn’t mean anything to anyone,” said Vera.
- Madame de Genlis! Madame de Genlis! - Laughing voices said from behind the door.
Beautiful Vera, who had such an irritating, unpleasant effect on everyone, smiled and, apparently unaffected by what was said to her, went to the mirror and straightened her scarf and hairstyle. Looking at her beautiful face, she apparently became even colder and calmer.

The conversation continued in the living room.
- Ah! chere,” said the countess, “and in my life tout n”est pas rose. Don’t I see that du train, que nous allons, [not everything is roses. - given our way of life,] our condition will not last long for us! And "It's all a club, and its kindness. We live in the village, do we really relax? Theatres, hunting and God knows what. But what can I say about me! Well, how did you arrange all this? I'm often surprised at you, Annette, how it's possible You, at your age, ride alone in a carriage, to Moscow, to St. Petersburg, to all the ministers, to all the nobility, you know how to get along with everyone, I’m surprised! Well, how did this work out? I don’t know how to do any of this.
- Oh, my soul! - answered Princess Anna Mikhailovna. “God forbid you know how hard it is to remain a widow without support and with a son whom you love to the point of adoration.” “You’ll learn everything,” she continued with some pride. – My process taught me. If I need to see one of these aces, I write a note: “princesse une telle [princess so-and-so] wants to see so-and-so,” and I drive myself in a cab at least two, at least three times, at least four times, until I achieve what I need. I don't care what anyone thinks about me.
- Well, well, who did you ask about Borenka? – asked the Countess. - After all, yours is already a guard officer, and Nikolushka is a cadet. There is no one to bother. Who did you ask?
- Prince Vasily. He was very nice. Now I agreed to everything, reported to the sovereign,” Princess Anna Mikhailovna said with delight, completely forgetting all the humiliation she went through to achieve her goal.
- That he has aged, Prince Vasily? – asked the Countess. – I haven’t seen him since our theaters at the Rumyantsevs’. And I think he forgot about me. “Il me faisait la cour, [He was trailing after me,” the countess recalled with a smile.
“Still the same,” answered Anna Mikhailovna, “kind, crumbling.” Les grandeurs ne lui ont pas touriene la tete du tout. [The high position did not turn his head at all.] “I regret that I can do too little for you, dear princess,” he tells me, “order.” No, he is a nice man and a wonderful family member. But you know, Nathalieie, my love for my son. I don't know what I wouldn't do to make him happy. “And my circumstances are so bad,” Anna Mikhailovna continued with sadness and lowering her voice, “so bad that I am now in the most terrible situation. My miserable process is eating up everything I have and is not moving. I don’t have, you can imagine, a la lettre [literally], I don’t have a dime of money, and I don’t know what to outfit Boris with. “She took out a handkerchief and began to cry. “I need five hundred rubles, but I have one twenty-five-ruble note.” I am in this position... My only hope now is Count Kirill Vladimirovich Bezukhov. If he does not want to support his godson - after all, he baptized Borya - and assign him something for his maintenance, then all my troubles will be lost: I will have nothing to outfit him with.
