Hare made of polymer clay. DIY gifts for children. A tiny bunny made of polymer clay in the form of a brooch. Master Class. For sculpting we need

Such a touching decoration - bunny from polymer clay , which we will do in this master class, will not leave any little fashionista indifferent. What could be softer and more beloved than plush toys, with which children not only play and fall asleep, but inspire them, sharing their secrets and consulting on every occasion. You can use polymer clay to create a prototype of your child’s favorite plush toy and design this product in the form of a brooch, pendant or earrings. The main thing is that it will be a copy of a favorite toy, which can be with the child every minute, causing him warm emotions and a smile. DIY gifts for children bring warmth and kindness.

Bunny made of polymer clay. Materials and tools

So when creating a product we will need:
  • soft blue, pink, black and white;
  • A bear-shaped cutter no larger than 3 cm in size;
  • Acrylic rolling pin and pasta machine;
  • Needle or toothpick;
  • Thin blade;
  • Small scissors;
  • Modeling stack;
  • Metal blank for a brooch;
  • Hot glue and gun.

Master class on sculpting a plastic bunny

In this master class, I took the mint shade of Cernit polymer clay - very popular this season:
1. Set the pasta machine to 0.5 mm thick and roll out mint-colored clay. Fold the clay layer in half and use a cutter in the shape of a bear to cut out the shape.

2. Using a modeling stack (one with a flexible spatula), smooth out all the obtuse corners of the figure so that they become rounded and smooth. Smooth out the ears of the bear cub, and if you can’t make a perfectly straight head, cut off the ears and round the cut points with a stack.

3. Form a 3 cm long figure in the shape of a spindle from mint-colored plastic. Using a blade, cut the spindle into exactly two halves.

4. Attach the ears to the head polymer clay hare and smooth the joints with modeling stack.

5. Using the point of a needle or toothpick, you need to loosen the entire surface of the hare’s body. Make sure there are no missing areas or deep holes in the surface of the clay.

6. From bright pink polymer clay, form a ball with a diameter of 0.5 cm and press it with your finger onto the work surface so that it becomes flat. Place a flat pancake on the hare's tummy. Use a needle to loosen the top layer pink clay, creating the effect of a plush surface.

7. From gray polymer clay (a ready-made shade or by mixing white and black shades of clay) we form an oval 6 mm long, flatten it with our fingers so that it becomes flat and with small scissors we cut out triangular parts exactly in the middle of the oval on both sides so that it turns out Infinity sign.

8. Place it on the face polymer clay hare an element made of gray clay and, with the tip of a needle, loosen the surface of the gray plastic.

9. Form a tiny drop from pink polymer clay and place it in a hollow made of gray clay.

10. Make indentations for the eye sockets above the gray part of the muzzle. Form small balls from black polymer clay and place them in the eye sockets.

11. Make a hole for the mouth in the lower hollow using gray clay. Roll out a very thin strip of black plastic and form thin eyebrows above the eyes.

12. From pink polymer clay, previously rolled out on the minimum thickness of a pasta machine, cut out a small rectangle and use a blade to cut out unnecessary parts and give the shape of a bow.

13. Using a cutter or blade, round off the sharp edges of the bow.

14. Using the edge of a needle or toothpick, make longitudinal grooves on the surface of the bow.

15. Attach a bow to any bunny ear. Place the workpiece in the oven for firing, according to all the recommendations specified in the plastic instructions.

16. After firing, glue the metal surface of the brooch base to the back of the plastic blank with hot glue. Can be glued with regular quick-drying glue. I do not recommend covering the loosened surface with varnish - the plush effect will be lost.

This is the original handmade gift for a child.

If you want to make a homemade gift for a slightly older child, read the master class.

Attach a brooch to your baby's scarf or hat, and you will see how a sincere smile spreads across the cute child's face! Believe me DIY gifts for children They give joy not only to the kids, but also to you)!

Increasingly, modern girls, instead of expensive and elaborate jewelry from precious metals prefer to wear jewelry made from such a seemingly unattractive material as polymer clay. What is the secret of plastic surgery? In fact, everything is very simple, this material is easy to use, there is great amount shades of this material, and the main thing is that, wearing such jewelry, the girl will always look original and unique.

Today we will try to make bunny earrings. For this we need:
1. Blue Sonnet polymer clay (you can use any plastic you have, but I personally like this company);
1. Sonnet polymer clay, white;
2. Sonnet purple polymer clay;
3. Stationery knife;
4. Acrylic paints white, black and yellow;
5. Sketch of future earrings;
6. Accessories for earrings.

Now you can start creating. To begin, we cut off a piece of blue plastic (this will be our base for the earrings) and knead it in our hands for a long time until it becomes soft and pliable.

Then the plastic needs to be rolled out into a not very thick layer. To roll out polymer clay, you can use a special silicone roller, or you can use improvised means (personally, I use a bottle of hairspray). This does not affect the quality of the product, and helps beginner craftswomen save a penny.

Now we attach the hare blank we have to the resulting pancake (you can make it yourself or use the blank presented below) and carefully cut it out with a stationery knife.

Then we remove the blank and see that no matter how hard we try, our hare still looks more like an incomprehensible blot with uneven edges.

Therefore, we carefully smooth the edges of the base and give it its final shape.

After this, take white clay, knead it in your hands and roll two small identical balls - these are the eyes of our hare.

Take some black clay, roll out very small balls and make the pupils of the hare.

And finally, don’t forget to attach the hare’s nose. The same actions must be carried out with the second earring.
The product is almost ready. All that remains is to bake it and paint it with paints. Place the earrings in the oven for 30 minutes at 130 degrees (the temperature and firing time can be adjusted depending on the type of plastic, but usually the baking rules are indicated on the polymer clay packaging). If you want everything to work out, do not under any circumstances try to bake clay in microwave oven. After half an hour, take out the earrings and wait until they cool down. Be careful while the clay is still warm, as it can easily become deformed.
Cooled earrings need to be painted. To do this, take a thin brush and draw flowers. First we draw the flowers with white paint. Then we make a yellow center, and at the end we outline the flower with a black outline. Let the paints dry.
