But since 1994, the company has earned more efficiently and began to master the production of passenger tires. Giant car factories: GAZ, PAZ, AVTOVAZ, UAZ have chosen KShZ for deliveries to their primary configurations. The plant has become known for its wide selection of light truck tires for the Gazelle.

The use of a component called "silica" in the rubber compound provides the tire with high wear resistance and low rolling resistance. The Pirelli company is known in the tire industry as the creator of the revolutionary adaptable rubber compound (ACT technology). This technology is used to produce a rubber polymer that can change plasticity depending on temperature, which means that your tires can safely move within the temperature range: -40 - + 7ºС

Pirelli makes production at the Kirov plant environmentally friendly by building an indoor waste storage and recycling facility to implement its environmental program in accordance with European standards. The "green" tires produced today in the process of their manufacture by the plant, during operation by the motorist and during disposal cause minimal harm to the environment.

In almost four years, KShZ mastered new technology spike installation. This means that the tires will feature an optimized arrangement of strong studs at the point of contact to ensure efficient movement on snow or ice. The Kirov Tire Plant, owned by Pirelli Tire Russia LLC (a joint venture between Pirelli and Rostec, the latter has a blocking stake), is now only engaged in the production of truck and oversized tires. The reorganization of the Kirov plant was completed in the first half of 2017 - the production of passenger tires was separated into a separate entity, also owned by a joint venture - PK Kirov Tire LLC. The reorganization was carried out to optimize and increase efficiency production processes, say the interlocutors of Vedomosti. Previously, the Kirov plant mainly produced passenger tires (the share is not specified), the total capacity of the plant was 6 million tires per year. No other changes are planned in the structure of the joint venture between Pirelli and Rostec, as well as in the structure of the second asset of the enterprise, the Voronezh Tire Plant, Vedomosti's interlocutors assure. The Voronezh plant produces passenger tires and operates at full capacity (2.2 million tires per year), about 30% of its products are exported. “We are considering the possibility of increasing the volume of production, which will be possible with additional investments. But this will happen no earlier than 2020 and only in the event of a significant increase in demand in the domestic market,” a Pirelli spokesman said in June. Pirelli's total investments in Russia exceed 460 million euros, of which 222 million euros were invested in the acquisition of the Kirov and Voronezh plants, more than 220 million euros were spent on modernization, and in 2017 it is planned to invest another 18 million euros.
