These days, this ancient railway is known as the Moscow Central Circle.

Yuri Egorov – historian railway transport, traveler, tour guide, author of the recently published “Guide to the Moscow Circular Railway.” Since the late 1990s, Yuri has been traveling along the “Steel Ring of Moscow”, knows all its secrets, and since 2009 he has been opening the wonderful world of railways with its unique atmosphere, a specific language of communication, consisting of multi-colored lights and flags, to the inquisitive residents of our city. locomotive whistles and unusual “railroad” speech, unusual for outsiders.

The circular railway is a “city within a city”; before the opening of passenger traffic, few people had heard of it, almost no one had visited its stations - even for local residents its existence remained a secret behind seven seals. Nowadays, Okruzhnaya is a full-fledged element of the cultural heritage of the capital, the pearl of its architecture. The once “forgotten ring of Moscow”, which has rapidly burst into our daily lives, will be discussed at our seminar.

From September 14 to 23, the Third Festival of Contemporary Photography “FIXAGE” will be held at the Central House of Artists on Krymsky Val (Moscow, Krymsky Val, 10). The festival brings together contemporary photographers working in various techniques art of photography: reportage, macro photography, psychological portrait, genre photography, landscape photography, city photography and much more. The exhibition display of the festival consists of six personal exhibitions of famous Russian authors and an exhibition of laureates of the photo competition “(For) fix the world!” - 100 best works. Photographers nominated for “Fixer” - 2018: Sergey Tolmachev, Georgy Rozov, Andrey Narchuk, Nikolay Kondakov, Galina Yunyaeva, Valera and Natasha Cherkashin. Each of the authors will present a full-fledged photographic exhibition within the framework of the festival.

“Fixer” will be held in the mode of a democratic photo forum, a “gathering point” for amateurs and professionals working in the field of modern photography, where, in addition to the exhibitions on display, there will be lectures and master classes on the numerous facets of photographic art, and an interesting musical program.

As part of the festival there will be an exhibition the best works of the winners of the Third International Photographic Competition “(For) Fix the World!” The theme of the photo competition 2018: “Seeing miracles.” The competition takes place online from June 15 to August 15 and ends with the awarding of the winners at the Festival site.
