Internet management mts. Unified Internet MTS. How to connect. How to disable MTS Unified Internet

If you use the Internet on several devices, you do not need to enable a separate option for all of them. You can use the traffic provided within one number on several smartphones or tablets. In this case, traffic is recorded regardless of where the other device is located - in the next room, another city or another region. The ability to use one traffic package by different subscribers is offered by all operators, however, each of them has its own characteristics of such a service.

Today we will tell you how to connect and configure the service “ Unified Internet” on MTS, how to agree to become a member of the group or leave it, and what restrictions the option has.

Service capabilities

Connecting to the “Unified Internet” will allow you to use one traffic package on different devices. This is either a package included in one of the MTS “Smart” or “Ultra” tariffs, as well as individual Internet options available for connection. Any tariff plan can be used on added devices.

Among the advantages of the service is the ability to use the package not only on your other devices, but also to share with other people - relatives or friends. The initiator of a group, which can include up to six members (including the creator), has the ability to set different limits for each device.

Among the restrictions, it is worth noting that each participant can be a member of only one group, and in total the entire group can use no more than fifty gigabytes of total traffic per month. Participants can only be numbers belonging to the same MTS region. But you can also use it in national roaming, if this is provided for by the terms of the package. Numbers connected to the “Unified Internet” can also have traffic options enabled, but their use will only be available after leaving the group.

When the number of the initiator of a created group is blocked (voluntarily or for financial reasons), access to the Internet becomes unavailable to all participants. At the same time, on connected devices you can independently connect the “Turbo button”, which will allow you to use the Internet.
You can connect absolutely any device to the “Unified Internet,” but only using MTS SIM cards. This means that you can connect a laptop or computer, but access to the network must be done from them through a router or modem with an operator SIM card.

The company also offers discounted prices for SIM cards for connecting additional devices. That is, you do not need to buy standard starter packages, but get them at a special price in the operator’s salon - 50 rubles. The balance on such numbers is 20 rubles.

How to connect and configure

Connecting and setting up the service is very simple and there will be no problems with it. If you decide to distribute your package to other numbers, go to your personal account on the website of the MTS Unified Internet service at internet.mts.ru.

The cost is 100 rubles per month and is written off upon activation in full. Further, the debit is made once a month, and if there are insufficient funds in the account, then it is paid daily in the amount of four rubles. In this case, the monthly fee will be from 120 rubles, so you need to monitor the availability of funds in your main account so as not to overpay.

To control devices of the MTS “Unified Internet” service, USSD or SMS commands are not used - everything is done through the interface on the website. To connect, you must enter a number and send an invitation. Whoever you want to share traffic with must accept it. If this device is other than a smartphone, then this can be done on the service website, and if it is a smartphone, then you can confirm the invitation both by SMS - by sending the number “one” in the text in response to the received message, and on the website.

After inviting a participant to join a created group, they only have fifteen minutes to confirm. After this time has expired, you must send a second request. This ensures that “Unified Internet” is not automatically connected to MTS subscribers.

Both the initiator of group creation and the owner of the connected device can disable the MTS Unified Internet service. The group creator can deactivate the service completely, or delete an individual device. Information messages are sent via SMS to both numbers about all outages. Just like with connection, to disconnect, you can use either your personal account or send the combination “zero space asterisk” to the short number 5340, and for the participant simply “zero”.

Results

The convenience of the service is obvious. It is suitable for those who, having an Internet package on their number, do not use it in full, but at the same time there is a need for cellular Internet on other devices. Among the advantages are ease of use and the ability to connect numbers even in another city.

The disadvantages include the fact that the service can only be used on numbers in one region; restrictions also apply when using Internet options in roaming, the conditions of which apply only to the home region. Accordingly, you will need to pay extra for use while traveling. Also, participants are limited in the use of additional options connected to their number while in the group.

Today it is no longer possible to imagine modern life without mobile Internet. Every day, owners of mobile phones, tablets, smartphones, laptops log into World Wide Web and use familiar resources: find out news, communicate on social networks, check email, play games or just read books.

All users constantly update programs and install new applications. Statistics show that every year the number of people who own more than one mobile device increases. For each of these gadgets to connect to the Internet, you need to install a SIM card with the number of the operator providing this service. Agree that if you have a smartphone in your pocket, a tablet in your bag, a laptop on your desktop, and a modem at home, then keeping track of traffic payments for each device is very inconvenient.

In this case, the new “Unified Internet” service will come to your aid, which makes it possible, within one Internet package, to have access to the network from several mobile devices (no more than 6). Thanks to this service, you can share your mobile Internet with your loved ones and friends, no matter where they are. To do this, you need to create a group “United Internet”.

Terms of service

  • In order to create a group, you must be a user or
  • Invited group members can use any tariff plan.
  • If the connected subscriber has already used the Internet before, then access to it is suspended under the terms of the personal tariff plan.

Unlimited Internet at optimal speed. MTS.

Tariffing of services

When creating a group, fees for access to the World Wide Web are charged only to the group organizer.

There is currently no charge for connecting one additional device. Payment for all subsequent connections will be 100 rubles monthly for each.

From September 1, 2015, the initiator of the creation of the “Unified Internet” group will have to pay 100 rubles for the first connection.

Features of the MTS “Unified Internet” service

As you already understand, the “Unified Internet” service allows you to share the Internet, available within one package, with other devices, and it does not matter who owns these numbers and at what distance they are from the initiator of the group. It would seem that everything is great, and the fee of 100 rubles per month is fully paid for due to the absence of the need to connect the Internet on other devices. In principle, everything is so and the service is very useful, but not for everyone. If you study the terms of this offer in more detail, you will find many pitfalls, which, as usual, the operator mentions in small print.
Before creating the MTS Unified Internet group, please pay attention to the following conditions:

  • You can only share the Internet with subscribers in your region;
  • In total, group members are provided with up to 50 GB per month (subject to the availability of such a package from the group initiator;
  • You cannot become a member of the “Unified Internet” group if you have a tariff plan identical to the tariff plan of the group initiator;
  • It is impossible to use traffic from several groups. Participation in only one group is allowed;
  • Group members only have access to the main Internet package. If the initiator purchased additional Internet, then this traffic does not apply to group members.

What’s surprising is that MTS allows you to distribute up to 50 GB to members of the “Unified Internet” group, while today the operator does not have offers that would include such a traffic package. Someone will remember the old archival tariffs with complete unlimited, but there is a certain nuance here too. The traffic consumed by the group initiator is also included in these 50 Gigabytes. That is, if you have completely and have already spent over 50 GB, then the group members will simply have nothing left. It turns out that the “Unified Internet” service is useless on archived tariffs with unlimited traffic.

  • Important
  • For the “Smart Unlimited” tariff: special conditions within the framework of the “Unified Internet” service. Instead of 50 GB, group members are given 10 GB.

How to create a “Unified Internet” group

You can create a “Unified Internet” group on all Smart tariffs and with Internet Mini, Internet Maxi or Internet VIP options connected. All MTS subscribers can become members of the group, the main thing is that your SIM cards were purchased in the same region. The creation and management of the “Unified Internet” group is carried out on the website i.mts.ru or in the MTS personal account. The procedure for creating a group, as well as its subsequent management, does not involve any difficulties. The main thing is to immediately make sure that there is enough money on your balance to pay for the service. We remind you that immediately upon creating the MTS “Unified Internet” group, 100 rubles will be debited from your balance. If there is no balance the required amount, there will be no write-off. Let's take a closer look at the process of creating a group, and then explain how it is managed.

To create a “Unified Internet” group on MTS, follow these steps:

  1. Follow the link i.mts.ru;
  2. Find the “Invite device” block on the page and click on it;
  3. Enter the number of the invited device and click the “Invite” button;
  4. An SMS with instructions that must be followed to become a member of the group will be sent to the number of the invited subscriber;
  5. After confirmation, the number will be displayed in the list of group members.

As you can see, you don’t even need to create the MTS “Unified Internet” group itself; it will be created automatically after adding the first participant. By following the instructions above you can add up to 5 numbers. If problems arise with adding a number, the conditions for participation in the group may not be met, for example, this number is registered in another region or is already participating in the “Unified Internet” group. You can manage the group on the website http://i.mts.ru. Here you can not only add and remove group members, you can also assign individual limits for individual devices and control the amount of traffic spent.

After testing in a number of regions, the Shared Internet service is being launched in Moscow. You can connect up to six different devices to one Internet package and save on individual Internet packages. The conditions look good, there are not many restrictions on use. Not everyone needs the service, but it will be useful to many.

A Data Sharing Bundle can be either a niche or a relatively popular service. It all depends on the price of the issue, restrictions on use, manageability and ease of use of such a service. Below we will analyze whether the option proposed by MTS turned out to be balanced in all respects; the viability of the service depends on this.

When?

To be honest, now I’m afraid to make predictions. The shared Internet service in MTS itself has long been working for corporate clients. It is convenient for organizations to buy large Internet packages and distribute the Internet among employees themselves in accordance with their needs and status. But prices for the mass market are high. There are also probably many difficulties and technical problems associated with implementation at different tariffs related to different contracts. There were pilot projects in four regions, then in several more the service began operating in its current form.

But the Moscow region is a special case in terms of its scale, equipment and, it is possible, still preserved different platforms. It must be assumed that at the last moment some unexpected difficulties arose and the launch date was postponed from June 22 to June 24. Then they moved it up a few more days and now they plan to officially launch on June 29, we’ll see. I don’t see anything “criminal” in this: it’s better this way than later adding to the service for existing subscribers.

Dot the i's

Main characteristics of the “Unified Internet” service. To understand the possibilities and whether this thing can be useful to you personally.

  • The maximum number of additionally connected devices is 5. In total, one Internet package can be used on a maximum of six devices at the same time.
  • Subscription fee (removed immediately upon connection) - 100 rubles. per month for each device, more precisely, for each connected additional SIM card. Until August 31, 2015, the subscription fee for one additional device will not be charged.
  • “Donor” tariffs: the entire line of Smart, Ultra tariffs, as well as Internet Mini/Maxi/Super/VIP options on most current and archived tariffs.
  • “Recipient” tariffs: most current and archived tariffs. There are exceptions, but we will be able to read their list after the official launch of the service.
  • Connection and disconnection: USSD, SMS, Web site.
  • Access to management: on a special web page one.mts.ru
  • Traffic quota limit per additional device: can be set individually for each device, but not more than 50 GB per month for each additional device.
  • Only the SIM card of the home region of the “donor” can act as a “recipient”.

Why and for whom?

The very existence of such a service may not seem entirely logical. Indeed, operators did everything in their power to drive Internet users to package offers and conditional unlimited subscription fee. I have written more than once about the “price wars” of operators with those clients who stubbornly clung to the retail Internet. And smartphones and tablets did their job, that’s what was intended. And then suddenly the “Unified Internet”, which almost puts an end to the hard-won positions stable income from each subscriber?

The shared Internet sets itself the task of “hooking” precisely that segment of the market that is excluded from the mobile Internet by prohibitive retail prices. Many are not morally ready to pay 200 rubles. more than a month for occasional visits to the network in places without working Wi-Fi. And each device “linked” to the package brings a subscription fee, albeit small. It's better than getting nothing. Plus convenience for customers and their additional loyalty to the operator. Balanced prices are important: the subscription fee for connecting to someone else’s package should be noticeably less than in any other option available on the market.

Beeline launched its “Internet for Everything” on the mass market back in July last year, during discussions on various resources, including Mobile-Review (our review), the potential audience and “people’s aspirations” appeared quite clearly. What surprised me most at the time was FAQ like “Who might need this if now every smartphone can distribute the Internet via Wi-Fi?” That is, not everyone understood the essence of the new service; this should have been written about separately and with examples. SIM cards linked to the “donor” Internet package can be located anywhere and anytime; they live their own independent lives, consuming the general Internet package. If you have 2-3 personal devices with you, then the “Unified Internet” is really of no use to you, this is not your profile.

Although even in the scenario of two personal devices, options are possible. For example, a tablet with 4G support, and a smartphone with a Smart tariff without 4G. Instead of distributing the Internet to a tablet from a smartphone, it makes more sense to give the Internet to the tablet’s SIM card; it will be much more comfortable.

The first thing that comes to mind is a shared internet package for a family. In the Moscow region, the minimum price for an Internet package is 200+ rubles. (we don’t consider any Promo), subscriber for “Unified Internet” – 100 rubles/month per device. If the basic package is more than enough, then why not save?

Tariffs in the Smart+/Top or ULTRA category are often taken for work or active voice communication; the generous Internet packages included in them are rarely used. It would be logical to dispose of the good in a businesslike manner, transferring the “extra” Internet to the device where the Internet will be useful.

Option " Mobile Internet chipping in" also looks like a smart investment. For example, “Internet-VIP” plus a subscription for additional devices will cost 1,700 rubles. for six, each will receive 5 GB of traffic for 285 rubles. Agree, this is more rational than paying 350 rubles. for 3 GB of traffic in Internet Mini.

As far as I understand (I need to clarify), if there is a night unlimited on the main device, each additional device can also use this unlimited, albeit within a maximum of 50 GB. And so on, there are enough options, and you will probably have interesting ideas, welcome in the comments. If the service seems useless to you personally, then remember the ancient joke: “What, you don’t like cats? You just don’t know how to cook them!”

How it works

Some features and limitations that are good to know about for those who intend to use the service. Let me remind you that until August 31, there is no subscription fee for one additional device, so you can delve into the guts of this interesting product without any financial losses.

The “Unified Internet” service itself is activated on all tariffs and options that support such “donation”. Then each additional “recipient” number is connected separately using the ussd command *111*750# (menu), an SMS message of the form 1 79161234567 (0 79161234567 to disable) to number 5340, or on the service management Web pages. 100 rub. for each “recipient” it is debited from the “donor’s” balance upon connection and then every month. Judging by personal experience, access to the management section of one.mts.ru occurs through authorization in your personal account. The easiest way is to log in from the “donor” SIM card, then everything happens automatically.

On the same page you can set a traffic quota for each “recipient”. When the quota is exhausted, the “recipient” is redirected to the control page, where he can connect the turbo button and continue to use the Internet. But at your own expense. Likewise, in case the “donor” package is completely exhausted or the “donor” number is blocked.

The “donor” can distribute the Internet only from his main package or additional periodic packages of 500 MB or 1 GB. Once the package is exhausted, the donor has a choice of two types of Turbo buttons: public access(button traffic is included in the distribution) and individual, which allows you to use the Internet only from the main device (donor SIM card).

The basic package in force in Russia will also apply to “recipients”. If the option does not work for the “donor” (for example, “Smart Mini”), then it will not work for the “recipient”. For Internet Mini/Maxi/Super/VIP options an additional 50 rubles will be charged. per day in the event of any “recipient” appearing on the Internet outside the home region. I hope it’s “anyone” and not “everyone”.

Other details will become clear after the official launch of the service, we’re waiting. There may also be some changes in characteristics and behavior. You never know, for some reason the launch in Moscow was postponed for several days. If something changes radically, I will write an Update.

Comparison

For now, comparisons can only be made with Beeline’s “Internet for Everything.” The MTS option so far looks obviously better based on several criteria: there are no restrictions on the “recipient” tariff (in Beeline it is only “Simple Internet” without voice), a more humane price (100 instead of 150 rubles), flexible quota management. Why “so far is better”? Because Beeline is now working on the next version of its service, and I hope that the shortcomings will be taken into account. Let's see what happens.

Among other interesting things is the launch of shared Internet in Beeline on postpaid tariffs. Perhaps, taking into account the emergence of the “Unified Internet” on the market, MTS in Beeline on its postpaid “Internet for Everything” decided not to charge a subscriber for additional devices until the end of 2015. Whatever you say, competition is a good thing and useful for you and me.

The telecommunications company MTS provides subscribers of the “Our Smart” tariff plan with the opportunity to create their own community of five additional devices with operator SIM cards for distributing a common Internet package and conveniently paying for traffic from one number. Despite the cost savings, many users are still interested in how to disable the “Unified Internet” on MTS in order to simplify the procedure for obtaining communication services and not depend on the solvency or mood of other group members.

In the article:

The online assistant site will tell you in detail about the capabilities of the option, how to activate it and the latest functional changes made by the provider. We will also look at how to disable the “Unified Internet” on MTS using a combination and through special services, so that you can choose the most convenient option for yourself.

Description of the “General package” service

In March 2018, the MTS operator announced changes in the format of the option, which affected the official name, the list of compatible tariff plans and the expansion of the list of additional services. Now the ability to access the Internet from several gadgets at once (smartphone, tablet, modem, cell phone, etc.) using one monthly traffic limit of up to 50 GB is officially called the “General package”. At the same time, the old, “promoted” name – “Unified Internet” – also remains in circulation.

As part of the service, a user with the “Our Smart” tariff (initiator) can form his own group of 1-5 users (participants), divide the Internet and useful services between them, and pay for traffic from his number.

In this case, the organizer pays a status subscription fee of 50 rubles/month, which is charged by the provider for the right to share packages. Other group members do not pay anything additional.

The initiator has exceptional traffic distribution capabilities (100 MB packages) and unilaterally assigns individual limits for each connected device.

How to create a group for the “Unified Internet”

All subscribers in their home region with any tariff plans MTS, with the exception of “For Tablet”, “Hyip”, “Unlimited” line and used by the initiator “Our Smart”. The type of device does not matter. You can also invite a user from another mobile network to the group if he agrees to switch to MTS with his number.

It is important to take into account that after joining the community, the ability to use the Internet, SMS and voice packages provided within the current tariff is suspended, but continues to be charged. That is why the operator recommends that when expanding the group, advise the new member to switch to a tariff without a monthly fee and deactivate additional options for receiving traffic (MTS Tablet, Internet-Super, BIT, MTS Connect, etc.).

To create a group, you can use the following resources;

  • operator's website at internet.mts.ru;
  • online self-service service Personal Account;
  • free mobile app“My MTS”, which is available for Android, Windows Phone and iOS.

Regardless of the selected method of action, you must activate the tab Invite device and enter the phone number you are looking for. The operator will immediately send an SMS to the potential participant inviting him to join the group. If the answer is YES, the “Common Package” community is considered officially created, and the initiator’s traffic limits become available to another user. We remind you once again that, together with the organizer, the group size should not exceed 6 devices.

To invite a new user to your community, you can use a USSD request of the form * 434 * 1 * 7HHHHHHHHHH # . Here, through the symbols N, the number of the subscriber to whom the Internet will be allocated is indicated. For example, *434*1*70953177148# .

How to become a member of the MTS “General Package”

The only way to join someone else's group is to receive an SMS invitation from the initiator. It is important to take into account here that the operator allows you to become a member of only one community within the framework of the “Unified Internet” service. If you receive such an SMS and agree to the terms of the option, you must answer YES. In a situation with several simultaneous invitations, you need to give a more detailed answer in the form YES # NNNN, where NNNN is the last four digits of the initiator’s phone number. Alternative way confirmation of participation is to visit the website internet.mts.ru, where you must click on the Agree button.

Please note that if the total package is exhausted before the end of the reporting period, participants will be able to unilaterally activate the “Turbo button” option and use all the features of their own tariffs.

To timely control the balances of available limits, use the combination * 434 * 2 # .

How to disable the “Unified Internet” service on MTS

Both the community organizer and any of its participants can refuse the general package. To do this, use the same methods as to create a group or confirm your participation.

How can the initiator disband the “General Package”

The provider provides the organizer with the opportunity to adjust the composition or completely disband the community within the service. To disable the MTS Unified Internet device, for example with the number 095 317 71 48, use the USSD request * 434 * 3 * 70953177148 # .

If it is necessary to close a community, the initiator can do the following:

  • change your tariff plan;
  • remove all devices one by one using the combination * 434 * 3 * 7HHHHHHHHHH # .
  • send USSD command * 434 * 0 # ;
  • disband the group in Personal account or in the “My MTS” application.

If the organizer decides to leave the “Our Smart” plan, all group members will automatically unlock the functionality of their connected tariffs and will be able to activate individual traffic using the provider’s standard options.

How can a participant leave the “General Package” group?

Previously, when deciding how to disable the “Unified Internet” option on MTS, the initiator and participants used a common algorithm for refusing the service by sending an SMS with the text 0 to a separate service number 5340 . Now the operator has warned about the suspension this method indefinitely. At the same time, MTS offered a convenient alternative in the form of the USSD command * 434 * 0 # . Also, a community member can change the settings of his SIM card in his Personal Account or in the “My MTS” application.
