The idea to decorate the plates is not mine at all, there are a lot of such works on foreign sites. Today I will share my experience in decorating plates.

Keep in mind - plastic during baking does not stick to the glass completely. And the gel (liquid polymer clay) does not help to stick this layer at all! Therefore, if you are going to wash such dishes or you will not decorate the entire surface, but only a part, for example, flower roses, then it is better to glue the decor epoxy resin after baking. Otherwise, if it is assumed that the vase or plate will have a decorative function and be wiped with a damp cloth sometimes, then nothing will fall off by itself. Especially if the shape is round or in the form of an aquarium.

So, I use the most common plate. Made in Russia, available almost everywhere.
Important !!!: before work, the surface must be degreased so that the plastic sticks as well as possible. Do not wipe the surface with wet wipes - they may contain glycerin or some oils, it is better just with alcohol so that the surface "crunches"

For slices I use sausages, mostly very old ones:

I reduce my drawings to kaleidoscopes. From butterflies I also add up a kaleidoscope, so that in common work there were no specific patterns, and sausages would just be a color and shape convenient for cutting and creating a pattern:

I connect the leaf with the flower. It turns out a simple triangle, two triangles-square, four squares-light green with purple hues kaleidoscope. I start gluing from the center. At first I tried to glue the paper in a box to the bottom on the reverse side in order to put everything one to one, but the second plate was just made by eye and mistakes in the process are easily corrected, and sometimes you need to turn it over and look from that side - exactly or not, no whether bubbles. I glue the first four sections. At first they stick out a little from the sides and there are small gaps between them:


But with my finger I press against the surface of the glass, with the side surface of the knife I press the slices a little tighter to each other. This cannot be done if liquid plastic was used under the bottom or the surface was greasy and the sections did not stick. I check the absence of gaps by lifting the plate in the direction of the light bulb, small dots are immediately visible, if any:

Trimmed, folded the next layer:

Straightened him out. If at the same time some parts began to bulge out (the sausages are slightly compressed or were cut off of different thicknesses), we take a knife and cut off the excess from the surface in small pieces.

And so I move from the center layer by layer. To make thin long strips, I fold one flat sausage from the compressed sausages. Thus, I quickly fill the row:


I fill the gaps with cuts. If necessary, I cut off only half of the cut, adjust everything. Since the layers are not baked, they can easily move by 5 mm or more, if necessary, we lightly tap the side surface of the knife and the sausage seems to shrink from our manipulations:

Excessively protruding pieces can simply be trimmed. In this photo, the last row has not yet been leveled:


Here's a closer photo so you can see how the cuts look in the process. I will cut off these tops at the very end. In the process, I cut off only a frank marriage:

This is what the plate looks like at the end of the work. I cut off everything superfluous, smooth the edges, if somewhere the lines turned out to be not very even, then I press with my finger and the sausages move under pressure, I try to make everything as even as possible. Scraps can be rolled onto wooden beads, these don’t look very good, but from a brown plate they turned out like letters:

The blue set is my favorite, even though it was the first one. My very color combination. I showed it before, now the photos are better. I also sculpted cups from the center of the bottom:

For size: dish diameter -28 cm.

Angle from the other side. The vase is spherical, 15 cm in diameter. First, I made "bones" on this vase and baked them. Then tinted with liquid oil paint. The paint was diluted with linseed oil, baked again at a low temperature so that it would dry quickly. then she already made simple sausages and laid them in the gaps between the "bones". After baking, I covered the "mosaic" with white oil paint with foam rubber to get an uneven color:
