Scrap cards with an autumn theme. Scrapbooking. Master class postcards “Autumn. Video: Wedding card. Master Class

The article will tell you in as much detail as possible about scrapbooking and the technique of making greeting cards.

Everyone made cards with their own hands as a child. They were cut out of cardboard, decorated with colored paper, ribbons and painted with felt-tip pens. With age, due to lack of time and inspiration, many left this activity. However, you will agree that it is much more pleasant to give something that is made with love. The person to whom the gift is addressed will also highly appreciate such a postcard.

  • Creativity develops in all directions. And one of the most common areas is scrapbooking. This direction includes making crafts from paper, cardboard and wood, and decorating them
  • For example, the results of creativity in this direction are handmade photo albums, notebooks and postcards. For those who are just getting acquainted with scrapbooking, you should start with postcards. Firstly, they do not require a lot of material. Secondly, they will allow you to experiment and look for new approaches
  • Also, I would like to note that scarpuking is not only a hobby for thousands of people. For some it has turned into quite successful business. After all, goods self made always at the peak of popularity

Making scrapbooking cards

  • The first thing you need to do is come up with an idea for a postcard. What holiday is it dedicated to? What kind of person is it made for?
  • If nothing comes to mind, look for inspiration in the work of others. You can find thousands of ideas and master classes on the Internet.
  • Consider what materials you might need
  • From standard materials it is colored paper, cardboard and PVA glue. You can also use ribbons and lace, artificial flowers, beads
  • Prepare the base of the card. It shouldn't be soft. Visit a craft store in your city. There is soft colored double-sided cardboard. Sometimes it comes with patterns. This cardboard would be an excellent base for a postcard.
  • If you choose a dark color base, think about how you will write the inscriptions. A blue or black pen will be difficult to see against a dark background. For the area where the wish will be written, cut off a piece of light-colored paper. It doesn't have to be rectangular
  • Use templates to cut out clear shapes. This will make it much neater
  • Don't be afraid to experiment. Perhaps your postcard will become a masterpiece

Set for scrapbooking cards

For those new to scrapbooking, it is convenient to use a card making kit. It is sold in craft stores and, sometimes, in office supply stores. The sets are themed. For example, dedicated to the New Year, Birthday or March 8th. This set includes:

  • Cardboard base. It can be bilateral or unilateral. Usually, a set contains several options for the basics
  • Colored paper. It is slightly softer than cardboard and may have patterns or themed designs on it.
  • Ribbons and lace
  • Half beads that are easy to attach to paper
  • Additional elements: wooden figures, flowers, three-dimensional figures, frames and much more

The kit contains everything you need to make your own card. All you need is inspiration, glue and scissors.

Types of postcards scrapbooking

There is no clear classification of postcards, because each artist uses his own imagination and mixes many elements. However, you can divide scrapbooking postcards into several varieties:

  • Depending on the shape: square, round, oval, rectangular and curly.
  • Flat and voluminous
  • Textile (types where fabric is used as much as possible)
  • Holiday cards
  • Postcards “just because”
  • Postcards-books
  • Postcards-photo albums

Scrapbooking style templates for cards

If your creative ideas go far beyond the standard scrapbooking kit, use templates.

Ends last month autumn, everyone has already started preparing for the new year, and I want to show you a master class on creating a postcard without scrap paper. I was inspired to create this card by the autumn maple leaves that my son and I collected back in September.

You are ready? Then let's begin!

To create a postcard we will need:

  • watercolor paper
  • mask (stencil)
  • texture paste
  • palette knife
  • sprays
  • stamp
  • ink
  • acrylic paint
  • raffia
  • paper flowers and leaves
  • chipboard
  • twig with stamens
  • acrylic droplets
  • blank for postcard

We remove everything that might get dirty from the work surface and place a mat. To prevent droplets of the spray from scattering, place a sheet of A3 paper folded in half on the side of the mat (put it at an angle), and we will spray the spray in this corner. Instead of paper and a mat, you can use a box.

Place a sheet of watercolor paper and start splattering. I took 3 colors: red, orange and yellow.

Let's start creating a three-dimensional background and to do this, use a mask and a palette knife to apply texture paste.

We wait for the texture paste to dry completely and use a stamp and ink to make background prints. To ensure that the print on the paper is not bright, first we stamp once on the draft (do not press on the stamp), and a second time with the same stamp with the remaining ink we stamp on the background paper. The print is slightly noticeable.

Let's start painting the chipboard. I painted mine with white acrylic paint.

After the chipboard has completely dried, glue it to the background paper.

Let's start decorating the card. First we try everything on and then glue it on.

Now we glue our beauty to the base and the card is ready!

Inspiration and happy creativity to everyone!

Autumn, the most beautiful time of the year! Despite the fact that it is cool and rainy outside, autumn warms us with its colors. Personally, I like to admire this riot of colors of nature: yellow, red, burgundy, brown... they seem to compensate for the lack of sun and warm you mentally...
Standing by the window and looking at all the beauty, I decided to make a warm and colorful card. I hope you enjoy the scrapbooking master class of autumn cards.

To create a scrapbooking master class postcard I used:
- paper;
- breadboard knife;
- self-healing mat;
- ruler;
- glue;
- decorative cutting “twig”;
- decorative leaves of different sizes and different colors;
- decorative flowers of different sizes and different colors;
- hole-punching “butterfly”;
- silicone stamp;
- stamp pads of different colors.

1. I chose the paper for a very long time and carefully, I wanted it to correspond to autumn. After I selected the paper, I cut out the blanks to the sizes I needed.

2. Then I tinted the edges of the paper: on the yellow paper I tinted the edges with white, and on the colored background I tinted the edges with orange. I left it to dry so that the paint wouldn’t smudge when gluing it on.

3. When the paint had dried, I carefully glued the paper on top of each other and began to design the card. First I glued on a decorative twig, then I started gluing on the leaves.

4. Then I started gluing the flowers. The legs (wire) need to be cut so that the flower sticks well to the paper and then does not fall off.

5. The postcard is almost ready! All that remains is to put the inscription with a silicone stamp and glue the butterfly. I colored the “butterfly” cutout with brown and orange paint, folded the wings a little - our butterfly is ready!
Here is the result:

6. I hope that I managed to convey all the warmth and beauty of autumn! My scrapbooking master class of postcards “Autumn” is inspired by golden autumn.
