Cameras up to 40,000 rubles, which one to choose. Amateur-level DSLR cameras

We decided to make a series of videos with quick reviews of cameras that are present on our market, and in order not to have to guess for a long time on what principle to combine them, we acted democratically and collected the cameras into segments based on price.
All cameras are carefully selected by me personally, and the choice is based on personal experience and testing of these toys, no holivar, only cold photographic calculation, and these are exactly the cameras that I can confidently recommend in this segment.

For assistance in filming this series, we thank the photo studios “M.Video ProPhoto.

2017 and 2016 were rich in new products, and it’s not so easy to understand them at a glance, but I’ll try. So, the first segment we selected is cameras up to 50,000 rubles.

The second most expensive camera is the Canon M6, the market leader's most affordable mirrorless camera released this year. Compared to the Panasonic, it is noticeably smaller, but in functionality it is almost as good. Personally, I like the very stylish and durable body here and, naturally, its dimensions, which allow you to put it in the pocket of a winter jacket without damaging the camera, a larger matrix with a 14-bit output, excellent tenacious autofocus for photos and videos, the ability to connect an external microphone, but this camera also has its drawbacks: slightly slow focusing in photo mode, a complete lack of video in 4K format, a very narrow range of optics, a primitive electronic stabilizer.
Today it costs about 46,000 rubles.

.
Probably the most modern-looking camera from the Fujifilm line today is the A-treshka. There is no simulated rangefinder, and the screen is touch-sensitive and flips out. The controls have also been modernized here, becoming more classical, unlike older cameras that have a different logic. However, this camera is not just an opportunity to gain access to the X-mount, the optics of which are deservedly considered to be of very high quality, but also to get a truly high-quality tool at your disposal. What I like about the feature set is the excellent high-resolution sensor, the inclusion of a flip-out screen, the ability to charge via micro-USB on the go, and access to an already fairly large line of quality lenses. Naturally, there are a number of shortcomings here: the absence of a stabilizer on the matrix, inconvenient controls via the touch screen, far from the best video, the absence of vital ports for it, and a plastic case without moisture protection.
But the price tag here is noticeably lower, 40,000 rubles.

.
Although Olympus traditionally classifies all its models in the premium segment, it also has affordable solutions for everyone. Eight is actually a bright camera, which is deliberately hidden by marketers behind the “for girls” style. This is a normal male model, worthy of attention due to the presence of a rich set of functions from older cameras, which many underestimate. An excellent image stabilizer on the matrix, which in itself is very good for photography, but thanks to the new processor and Full HD video it shoots well, and thanks to its speed it will give odds to many DSLRs, and, of course, a divine screen, despite the fact that the park The optics are huge, however, it is worth paying attention to the shortcomings: the complete lack of video in 4K resolution, a port for external audio, not the best body in the economy version and RAW only 12 bits, and due to the flat grip it is inconvenient to hold the camera when shooting.
Please note that the baby has the same price - 35,000 rubles.

.
Nine of the second issue is the first compact camera in our rating. A good camera that is suitable for almost all occasions, but at the same time will not spoil your impressions, and the picture quality will remain very high. It is no coincidence that the G9X has endured more than its first release, and the series has already proven itself thanks to its convenience and functionality, along with portability. A high-quality approach to the production of such compact things, along with reliability and low price, is in fact quite a rare phenomenon on the market. The matrix, which is quite large for this camera, makes it possible to take high-quality photos and videos on the road, despite the fact that it has a high-quality body and a convenient screen, and the autofocus is traditionally good; the possibility of charging from microUSB and rich functionality complement the set perfectly, but the company traditionally does not add their small cameras are capable of shooting 4K video, and the powerful processor consumes more than analogues, and the grip here has become a victim of compactness.
Camera price 30,000 rub.

.
Let's not forget the LX15, a compact camera with a fast Leica lens and a focal length range of 24-72 mm, which, moreover, has a fairly large matrix, so, in addition to decent video, it also allows you to shoot high-quality photos. Perhaps the only thing missing here is an external microphone connector, although this is unlikely to be a problem for someone looking for a compact device for shooting. Maybe the price is too high - 50,000 rubles. - but this is the price to pay for the versatility of the tool.

.
A camera that is not young in age, which still gives a head start to many people today, thanks to its rich characteristics, which is why it is suitable for high-quality pro-level video shooting and for good photos on the beach. I tested it meticulously more than a year ago, and nothing about it still irritates me - the results can be seen in our test. Among the characteristics that attract me are a good matrix and a processor optimized for photo and video shooting, video up to 4K, convenient and very flexible user-customizable controls, a cool touch screen and viewfinder, although there are certainly disadvantages: not the best photography and only 12-bit RAW, no stabilizer on the sensor and a plastic body without moisture protection, as well as autofocus, which requires some getting used to.
Today it costs almost 48,000 rubles.

If you want to get many functions and at the same time save money, do not forget about older cameras (40,000 rubles): convenient resolution, advanced stabilizer and advanced functions, while the camera has a very attractive price, and the only disadvantage is the lack 4K.

And if you pay attention to (39,000 rubles), the advantage of which is an excellent matrix and a compact body, and the disadvantage is the lack of a stabilizer, but it is worth remembering that now is the last season when you can buy a camera inexpensively, since they will be available in the spring removed from shelves due to the advent of the 4K era.

Please note that it is difficult to find a camera that is weighted by functionality, and it is even more difficult to find a camera that suits everyone in every way, especially if you are very tight on a budget. In fact, everyone has their own camera.

Look for a camera thoughtfully, trying to weigh exactly those factors that are important to you and try to ignore the shortcomings, even knowing them, if they are not critical for you or you are ready to forgive them for the sake of the advantages.

Naturally, do not hesitate to consult with the employees and consultants of the store where you buy the camera. Well, if you feel that you are tight within this budget, be sure to check out our review of “Best Cameras of 2017 from 50 to 100K”, which will appear soon.

Panasonic G7. Interactive test

Welcome to the third part of the review for the Buyer's Guide, dedicated to the most interesting camera models of this season costing up to 40,000 rubles!

Here you can find almost all types of cameras. Among them are premium compact cameras, budget DSLRs, stylish mirrorless models, and superzoom compacts. When trying to create a general portrait of a camera under 40 thousand rubles, the following is obvious: almost all system cameras in this price category are entry-level cameras. But this does not mean at all that they are worse than more expensive models. Regarding image quality and shooting capabilities, you can rest assured that you will get the maximum. There are large sensors, the possibility of manual settings, and high operating sensitivity values. But you should understand that additional functions that make shooting more comfortable are available only in more expensive cameras.

Be that as it may, the category of cameras up to 40,000 ensures that you get a model that is ideal for both amateur and creative photography. Unfortunately, not all of the cameras we selected are new; many modern models do not fit into this price category. However, the cameras presented here will definitely not disappoint you. Just choose the one that suits you best!

Canon cameras up to 40,000 rubles.

Canon EOS At the time of its release, the 100D turned out to be the world's most compact digital SLR. With its size, the Canon EOS 100D has won the hearts of photography lovers around the world. This camera weighs only 407 grams including battery and memory card. Of course, you can’t put the EOS 100D in your jacket pocket, but you will definitely have the opportunity to always take the camera with you and take cool pictures at any time.

Included with the camera you will receive an EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens (we recommend this option). It has everything you need to create high-quality images: an optimal set of focal lengths, an optical stabilizer and a quiet autofocus drive for shooting video. You can always expand your creativity in the future, because the Canon EOS 100D is a system camera that is compatible with dozens of lenses and other Canon accessories.

Canon EOS 100D / Canon EF 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 III SETTINGS: ISO 100, F6.3, 1/250 s, 7.0 MB

An APS-C CMOS sensor with a resolution of 18 megapixels is responsible for the image quality in the Canon EOS 100D. You can frame your shot either through a large and bright LCD screen or using an optical viewfinder. The screen supports touch controls: you can scroll through and enlarge pictures, change settings, and navigate menus without using regular buttons.

The Canon EOS 100D records video in Full HD format at up to 30 frames per second. Thanks to the touch control and quiet STM autofocus drive in the lens, you can simply point the focus point with your finger, which is very convenient. A 3.5 mm jack for an external microphone, which is rare in budget cameras, will allow you to get better sound. The Canon EOS 100D is suitable for both beginners and advanced photographers. The model menu allows you to set BASIC settings to make setting up the camera easier, and with the Canon Camera Companion app you can quickly learn basic camera techniques.

High quality and compact size can coexist with dignity, and Canon PowerShot The G9 X is proof of this. The camera dimensions are only 98 x 58 x 30.8 mm. This is a pocket camera with a CMOS sensor with a resolution of 20.2 megapixels in 1-inch format. This type of sensor is somewhat smaller than the APS-C sensors used in most DSLR cameras, but nevertheless allows you to obtain images of decent quality. “Ordinary” compacts cannot boast of this. Smaller sensor means more compact optics. As a result, you have access to the capabilities of an almost SLR camera. Isn't this a miracle?

To create colorful images, in addition to the large sensor, the Canon PowerShot G9 X uses a fast f/2.0-4.9 3x zoom lens with equivalent focal lengths of 28-84 mm. These kinds of focal lengths are considered to be “standard”, since they cover the lion’s share of amateur photographers’ subjects. And thanks to the high aperture, you can take sharp photos in low light and photos with a beautiful background blur effect. When shooting at night or in the twilight, at a high zoom level, the 5-axis optical image stabilizer will prevent blur from appearing in the photographs. Photos will be sharp no matter the time of day or lighting level.

Canon PowerShot G9 X / (65535) SETTINGS: ISO 125, F4, 1/60 sec, 5.0 MB

The rest of the Canon PowerShot G9 X's capabilities are equally high. In addition to automatic and software, the camera has manual and creative modes. You can work in shutter priority mode, aperture priority mode, or in full manual mode. All of them are quickly accessible on the top panel of the camera, on the circular selector. There, the photographer will find a creative shot mode and a hybrid mode. In hybrid mode, the camera simultaneously records short videos while taking photos, which are then combined into a single video clip. In Creative Shot mode, different filters from the same group are applied to the photo. This simplifies the shooting process and, at the same time, makes it more interesting: you need to choose the photo that best reflects what you intended. The touch-controlled screen makes it possible to record videos in Full HD format using either manual or automatic focusing, which is not often found in compact cameras. To make it easier to work with settings and to easily control shooting parameters, the Canon PowerShot G9 X lens has a special ring. Wi-Fi and NFC modules are present as expected in this modern and stylish camera.

Nikon cameras up to 40,000 rubles

The Nikon D3400 camera together with the NIKKOR 18-55 VR AF-P lens can be safely recommended for a first acquaintance with Nikon equipment for amateur photographers of all levels. Even a child can handle it quite well - its interface is so well thought out and simplified.

The image is based on a CMOS sensor with a resolution of 24.2 megapixels without a low-pass filter. Its absence significantly increases the sharpness of the image, which is important, for example, in landscape photography. Usually only more expensive models can boast of this. The capabilities of the standard NIKKOR AF-P DX 18-55 mm lens are more than enough for most subjects of a novice photographer. And if you wish, you can expand your own creative possibilities with the help of interchangeable lenses from Nikon.

The camera is characterized by its relatively small dimensions (124 x 98 x 75.5 mm) and low weight (445 grams with battery and memory card). At the same time, on one battery charge the Nikon D3400 is capable of taking about 740 pictures, which is a very good indicator. A novice photographer will appreciate the Guide mode, which helps you master the basic principles of working with the camera, understand the settings and take your first photographic masterpieces. More advanced photographers will be able to insure themselves against accidental blur by setting the maximum allowable shutter speed in AUTO ISO mode. AND this kind The Nikon D3400 still has a lot of small but nice functions. In this regard, the camera is, as they say, “for growth.”

NIKON D3400 / Nikon AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED SETTINGS: ISO 100, F14, 8 sec, 15.0 mm equiv., 12.0 MB

The camera is capable of recording videos in Full HD format at up to 60 frames per second. Thanks to the SnapBridge function, through a Bluetooth connection with a tablet or smartphone, pictures will be automatically downloaded to the gadget immediately after pressing the shutter. With the Nikon D3400, there's no need for a powerful computer to send pictures online or via email to friends, making it a great camera for travel too.

The price difference between Nikon D5300 and Nikon D3400 is not too great, so a reasonable question arises: “Is the game worth the candle?” Despite the fact that the 5000th series is formally more advanced, both cameras have similar sensors with a resolution of 24.2 megapixels without a low-pass filter. The modification of the matrices probably differs, but the image quality of both cameras is quite decent.

Ergonomics and dimensions are also almost identical. The differences start with the rotating LCD screen, the resolution of which is higher on the Nikon D5300 than on the Nikon D3300. If you shoot a lot, and often from awkward angles (for example, in macro photography), then a rotating LCD screen is definitely needed. In addition to the screen, these models differ in the autofocus system, which is more developed in the Nikon D5300. It consists of 39 points, 9 of which are cross points. This advantage is necessary if you often conduct dynamic, including sports, filming. However, the Nikon D5300 does not have a Guide mode, which helps beginners in mastering the camera.

NIKON D5300 / Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED SETTINGS: ISO 100, F8, 1/160 s, 82.0 mm equiv., 14.0 MB

Among the others technical features Nikon D5300 has a built-in Wi-Fi module, with which the photographer can control the camera from a smartphone (the D3400 does not allow this) and upload pictures to the network. However, using Wi-Fi drains the battery faster.

The built-in GPS module will record the coordinates of the places where the photographs were taken. To record higher quality sound for video, the Nikon D5300 has a connector for connecting an external microphone.

To summarize, we can say that the Nikon D5300 is more suitable for someone who has firmly decided to connect their life with photography, regularly goes on photo walks and needs a more versatile camera. However, remember that both Nikon D5300 and Nikon D3400 produce equally high image quality.

It's time to introduce you to the record-breaking camera - Nikon Coolpix P900. The magnification of the non-replaceable lens (optical zoom) NIKKOR is a mind-blowing 83x! The range of equivalent focal lengths ranges from wide-angle 24 mm to 2000 mm at telephoto.

With such a lens, Nikon Coolpix P900 makes it possible to capture details that are inaccessible to the eye at a considerable distance. And there is no need to be afraid of fatigue: the ergonomics of the camera are excellent; It is comfortable to hold and easy to control. It is also worth noting the optical image stabilizer, which is capable of producing high-quality, sharp images at shutter speeds up to 5 stops longer than the critical one. This is very important when shooting at a telephoto position in low light.

A superzoom camera is not only a high-magnitude lens. Nikon Coolpix P900 has a rotating LCD screen, which is indispensable for macro photography, as well as when photographing various kinds of holidays and celebrations from the crowd. In addition, the Nikon Coolpix P900 is a happy owner of an electronic viewfinder, which is convenient to use in bright sunshine or when shooting at a telephoto lens for better control over the composition of the frame. The Nikon Coolpix P900 records videos in Full HD format at up to 60 frames per second. There are also Wi-Fi and NFC modules for quickly transferring pictures or remotely controlling the camera.

The Nikon Coolpix P900 has many small but important features that make a photographer's life much easier. For example, it has GPS, GLONASS and QZSS modules, as well as a list of coordinates of attractions. For wildlife photography, the bird watching mode and the function of returning the zoom when the subject is out of view will be very useful. The Nikon Coolpix P900 also has a manual shooting mode with the ability to independently set shooting parameters. If you are just starting your journey in photography, don’t worry: this model is quite friendly for beginners. High-quality automatic mode and 19 built-in scene programs enable even an inexperienced photographer to take high-quality photographs.

Of course, this camera cannot compete with DSLRs in technical specifications and image quality, but it will give you the opportunity to shoot with a powerful zoom: you simply won’t be able to choose a similar lens for a DSLR camera if you’re trying to fit within the specified budget.

Sony cameras up to 40,000 rubles

The Sony Alpha A5000 is a compact mirrorless system camera. It comes with an incredibly lightweight, only 117 grams, E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS zoom lens. It has the most necessary set of focal lengths for a photographer. This lens's Image Stabilizer prevents blurry images in low-light conditions. The camera has an APS-C sized CMOS Exmor image sensor (like DSLRs!) with a resolution of 20.1 megapixels, which guarantees beautiful images and high image quality.

For novice photographers, there is a Superior Auto mode that selects the optimal settings independently. With Photo Creativity, you can adjust the level of background blur, brightness, contrast, and other image parameters while shooting. You can set the shutter to fire when you smile or when there are certain faces in the frame. All this and much more makes the creative process understandable, accessible, and interesting. And over time, having gained experience, you can switch to classic control of shooting parameters.

The Sony Alpha A5000 has a rotating LCD screen for shooting from awkward angles or for creating self-portraits. Unfortunately, the screen does not support touch controls. Videos are recorded in Full HD at up to 60 frames per second for smooth motion, or at 24 frames per second for a cinematic effect. To publish pictures online, view material and remotely control shooting, the Sony Alpha A5000 has Wi-Fi and NFC modules.

The Sony Alpha A5000 is a decent and affordable camera. If you need some additional functions and your budget allows, then pay attention to the model.

Its screen, for example, has twice the resolution of the Sony Alpha A5000 screen (921 thousand dots versus 460 thousand) and is equipped with touch controls, so it is much more convenient and comfortable to shoot video and set up the camera.

The Sony Alpha A5100 has a new 24.7 megapixel sensor and significantly improved autofocus. The number of points has been increased to 179 using the phase-phase operating principle (the Sony Alpha A5000 has contrast autofocus with 25 points). The maximum continuous shooting speed of the Sony Alpha A5100 is 6 frames per second, versus 3.5 frames per second of the Sony Alpha A5000. As you can see, the additional functions are quite necessary and interesting and, if possible, in this price category it is better to choose the Sony Alpha A5100.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 is another great compact camera with professional capabilities. The stylish aluminum body uses a 20.2 megapixel 1” sensor. The magnification of the ZEISS Vario Sonnar T lens is 3.6x, which in terms of equivalent focal lengths is 28-100 mm. This is the most commonly used focal length range. The aperture of the lens built into the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 is f/1.8 at a wide angle and f/4.9 at maximum telephoto, which allows you to create pictures with the effect of blurring the background, and when paired with an image stabilizer, get better pictures in low-light conditions. lighting.

Controlling the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 camera is similar to controlling a DSLR camera. Around the lens the photographer will find a multi-function ring. With it you can adjust the zoom level, change parameters and much more. The mode selection ring, familiar to most DSLR users, is located on the top panel. You can work in automatic mode, in shutter priority mode, aperture priority mode, or in full manual mode. Other interesting features include shooting Full HD videos at up to 50 frames per second for smoother motion transmission.

DSC-RX100 SETTINGS: ISO 3200, F8, 1/20 sec., 67.0 mm eq., 7.0 MB

Today, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 is a whole family of cameras. If you carefully search for a store with lower prices, then 40,000 rubles fits well into the proposed budget - the second version of this popular compact.

Compared to the previous model, the “two” received a new matrix with back-illumination technology (this has a positive effect on the quality of pictures), Wi-Fi and NFC modules, an inclined display, and a connector for connecting an external flash or electronic viewfinder. Whether these features are worth the extra money is up to you to decide.

During the era of film cameras, the Olympus OM line of models was wildly popular because it represented compact and inexpensive modern SLR cameras. Today, in the era digital photography, we can talk about the revival of the line. Olympus OM-D E-M10 is one of the brightest representatives of this series, although not the latest generation. This model represents the optimal ratio of price and quality; for new items you will have to pay a slightly higher amount.

The Olympus OM-D E-M10 features a very high-quality build and premium design. If you are looking for an unusual and stylish system camera, then this is in front of you. The sensor size is 4/3 inches and the resolution is 16.1 megapixels, which for high-quality printing and a breathtaking picture is quite enough, although the performance is lower than that of DSLRs and the mirrorless cameras discussed above.

E-M10 / 0 0 18 16 0 0 SETTINGS: ISO 200, F5, 1/50 sec, 8.0 MB

The camera comes with a M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14‑42mm 1:3.5‑5.6 EZ Pancake zoom lens. Possessing the most popular range of focal lengths, it has very modest dimensions. Built-in optical image stabilization ensures sharp photos in low-light conditions. If desired, the range of possibilities can be expanded with the help of interchangeable lenses, since this is a system camera.

You can frame your shot on the Olympus OM-D E-M10 using both the bright electronic viewfinder and the large 3-inch LCD touch screen. The touch screen is very convenient here! If necessary, it rotates in two planes for shooting from awkward angles. The camera has three circular selectors: two of them are for selecting shooting parameters, one is for selecting modes. Video recording is available in Full HD quality. Using Wi-Fi and NFC modules, you can view and upload pictures to the network and control the camera. Fans of creative photography will appreciate high-quality filters and the Live Bulb mode, which allows you to literally paint with light, fully controlling the process in real time.

The Fujifilm X-A2 model completes the review of cameras costing up to 40,000 rubles. The X-A2 is the most affordable mirrorless camera yet system camera from the Fujifilm X-mount line. The heart of the camera is an APS-C CMOS sensor with a resolution of 16.3 megapixels. Unfortunately, it does not support proprietary X-Trans technology, for which many photographers choose the Fujifilm system. But, nevertheless, this model allows you to take photos with beautiful background blur and excellent color rendition. The EXR II processor provides shooting speeds of up to 5.6 frames per second. The camera comes with an XC16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OIS II lens (other options are possible, but they no longer fit into the designated budget).

A distinctive feature of the Fujifilm system is that even inexpensive Fujinon kit lenses have high optical quality. At the same time, in a system camera, the “native” lens can always be replaced with another, more functional one, for example, with the ultra-compact XF 27mm f/2.8.

A camera up to 40,000 is the same camera that you need to choose not only with your mind, but also with your heart. Go to the store; hold all the models you like in your hands and be sure to take a closer look at the prices for replacement optics: after all, a good half of our selection was made up of system cameras.

Sony Alpha A5000 is a quite decent and affordable camera. If you need some additional features and your budget allows, then pay attention to the Sony Alpha A5100 model.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100

During the era of film cameras, the Olympus OM line of models was wildly popular because it represented compact and inexpensive modern SLR cameras. Today, in the era of digital photography, we can talk about the revival of the line. Olympus OM-D E-M10

The Olympus OM-D E-M10 features a very high-quality build and premium design. If you are looking for an unusual and stylish system camera, then this is in front of you. The sensor size is 4/3 inches, and the resolution is 16.1 megapixels, which is quite enough for high-quality printing and breathtaking pictures, although the figures are lower than those of DSLRs and the mirrorless cameras discussed above.

E-M10 / 0 0 18 16 0 0 SETTINGS: ISO 200, F5, 1/50 sec

Fujifilm X-A2 KIT

The review of cameras costing up to 40,000 rubles ends with the Fujifilm X-A2 model. The X-A2 is the most affordable X-mount mirrorless system camera from Fujifilm. At the heart of the camera is a 16.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor.

X-A2 / XC16-50mmF3.5-5.6 OIS II SETTINGS: ISO 1250, F4, 1/1800 s, 24.0 mm eq.

A camera up to 40,000 is the same camera that you need to choose not only with your mind, but also with your heart. Go to the store; hold all the models you like in your hands and be sure to take a closer look at the prices for replacement optics: after all, a good half of our selection was made up of system cameras.

Excellent cameras are available on the Russian market for 30,000 rubles. This is the optimal amount suitable for purchasing a camera for a beginning photographer. However, you should be frank: for the same 30,000 rubles you can buy complete “slag”, which will smear photos and break during the first year of operation. Therefore, when choosing, you need to take into account customer reviews - based on positive reviews, we compiled this rating.

What cameras are available for 30 thousand rubles?

Entry-level amateur SLR cameras, mirrorless cameras and even ordinary compact point-and-shoot cameras with excellent matrices and a bunch of settings for photography are approximately the models that can be purchased for this amount.

30 thousand rubles is, one might say, the starting price at which “training” cameras are available, but they definitely cannot be called professional. As for professional cameras specifically, their price can be 3-4 times higher than the cost of the models being considered today, and this is far from the limit. Now let's move directly to our rating.

10 best cameras costing up to 30,000 rubles

1st place – Canon EOS 600D Kit (28,000 rubles)

First of all, it is worth highlighting the excellent large CMOS matrix with a crop factor of 1.6 and a resolution of 18 megapixels. The sensitivity of the matrix is also impressive - 100-3200 ISO, which greatly expands the possibilities for photography even in places with limited lighting.

The kit comes with a standard lens, which does not boast anything special, but it can be changed (EF/EF-S mount).

A little about the functionality: the shooting speed is 3.7 frames per second, there is no image stabilizer at all (this is bad), but there is a mirror viewfinder, a rotating LCD screen, shutter speed from 1/4000-30 seconds, as well as video recording at a frequency of up to 60 frames/ sec and a resolution of 1280×720 (with a resolution of 1920×1080, the video shooting speed will be 30 frames/sec).

All this is great, but the lack of a stabilizer is a drawback. There is a good battery, which is enough for 440 photos, the quality of shooting and video is excellent, despite the lack of a stabilizer. Overall, this is excellent value for money and we would highly recommend this model.

2nd place – Nikon D3200 Kit (28,000 rubles)

A worthy analogue to the previous camera is the Nikon D3200 - this is an amateur SLR camera with a 24 megapixel resolution matrix and a crop factor of 1.5. Sensitive matrix – 100-6400 ISO.

The kit comes with a standard lens, but it can be replaced with a higher quality one - you need to buy it separately. As for functionality, the capabilities of the previous camera are practically repeated here. If you couldn’t find a model from Canon on sale, then you can easily purchase this device from Nikon and vice versa.

The quality of shooting and video is excellent. The build and materials used also inspire confidence. This is one of the best budget cameras under 30,000 rubles. With it, beginners with absolutely no knowledge get decent shots, and I can learn while shooting - this is exactly what this camera was created for.

3rd place – Sony Alpha SLT-A58 Kit (29,500 rubles)

A decent SLR camera from Sony worth 29,500 rubles with a large and sensitive matrix and a bunch of settings for shooting.

The camera uses a CMOS matrix with a crop factor of 1.5 and a resolution of 20 megapixels. Its sensitivity is 100-3200 ISO, which is worse than in the previous model, but still quite good. The included lens is standard, but it can be changed - the connection is made via Minolta A mounts.

The functionality is good: there is 3D shooting, a speed of 8 frames per second, there is optical image stabilization by shifting the matrix. The camera also shoots video, but only at a speed of 30 frames per second. You can also highlight a fairly capacious battery – it’s enough for 690 photos.

A bunch of modes and settings for shooting, a rich and detailed picture, excellent and fast automation - all these are the advantages of the camera. It is really high quality and definitely worth the money. It is less popular compared to the two previous cameras, but it is in no way inferior to them, and maybe even superior due to the presence of an optical stabilizer.

4th place – Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 (about 30 thousand rubles)

At around 30 thousand rubles (in some stores the price even exceeds the 30 thousand mark), a compact digital point-and-shoot camera is available on the market. This is not a SLR camera, but don’t let the price scare you – it’s completely justified.

It uses an excellent matrix for a point-and-shoot camera with a crop factor of 2.7, a sensitivity of 80-3200 ISO and a resolution of 20 megapixels. The lens has a focal length of 28-100 mm and has a 3.6x zoom.

The camera has an optical stabilizer, the shooting speed is amazing - 10 frames per second, there is a shutter speed, a huge bunch of settings and shooting modes (including video shooting at 60 frames per second and in FullHD resolution), and all this is enclosed in a small body. The camera weighs only 240 grams already with the battery.

The device is popular – it collects positive reviews and for good reason. The quality of the camera's shooting is excellent, and it obviously surpasses the quality of images taken with a regular point-and-shoot camera. It's quite rare to find models that are this compact but take better pictures than some entry-level DSLRs. This is an ideal camera for traveling, because carrying a large DSLR camera with you is not always convenient.

5th place – Nikon D5200 Kit (29,000 rubles)

The minimum cost of the camera is 29,000 rubles. Some sellers are asking 31-32 thousand for it, so we recommend not buying “from the first person you meet”, but looking for somewhere cheaper if you suddenly choose this model.

The camera is equipped with a matrix with a crop factor of 1.5 and a resolution of 24 megapixels, sensitivity is 100-3200 ISO. Everything is clear with the lens - it is standard, but it can be changed over time.

The functionality is good, but it is more standard for entry-level DSLR models: shooting speed is 5 frames per second, no optical stabilizer, shutter speed 1/4000-30 seconds, rotating LCD screen, video shooting in FullHD resolution at speeds up to 30 frames per second (or 60 fps at a resolution of 1280×720).

This camera is not the pinnacle of engineering; it is more of a linear model, which, however, has its advantages. This is a high-quality and reliable camera, and its price corresponds to the quality. Judging by the numerous positive reviews, the photographs turn out excellent, so we, for our part, recommend this model.

6th place – Nikon D3300 Kit (about 30 thousand rubles)

The amateur DSLR Nikon D3300 Kit is sold in the range of 30-35 thousand rubles. The price largely depends on the configuration: there may be a standard lens, or some cool one, which will cost more.

Overall, the camera is good: it has a pretty good CMOS sensor with a crop factor of 1.5, 24 megapixels and a light sensitivity of 100-3200 ISO.

There is no image stabilizer, and this is the only drawback of the camera. Otherwise, there are standard parameters as for an amateur-level SLR camera: there is a shutter speed, manual and automatic white balance adjustment, different shooting modes, including video. The camera battery allows you to take 700 photos.

When using a good lens, the pictures turn out to be of high quality, and the different mode settings allow you to be creative and open up some pretty solid shooting possibilities. In addition, buyers note the light weight of the camera as an advantage. This is true.

7th place – Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX400 (29,500 rubles)

Externally, the model looks like a SLR camera, but in reality it is a camera with a superzoom, and there is no SLR viewfinder.

The device is equipped with a small matrix with a crop factor of 5.62 and a resolution of 20 megapixels; there is a lens with a focal length of 24-1200 mm and a 50x zoom, which allows you to photograph very distant objects.

There is also a high shooting speed - 10 frames per second, there is an optical image stabilizer, shutter speed, timer and video recording in FullHD resolution at a speed of 50/60 frames per second.

This camera is inferior to SLR cameras, because... it uses a small matrix with a huge crop factor. However, the picture quality is good even with a strong zoom. If you really have an urgent need to photograph distant objects, but you cannot afford expensive professional cameras, then we highly recommend this model.

8th place – Sony Alpha A5000 KIT (about 30 thousand rubles)

For approximately 29,500-31,000 rubles you can buy a Sony Alpha A5000 camera. This is the first mirrorless camera in this rating to support interchangeable lenses.

There is a good matrix with a crop factor of 1.5, a resolution of 20.1 megapixels and a photosensitivity of 100-3200 ISO. The included lens is standard, but it can be changed (Sony E mount).

The shooting speed is 3.5 fps, there is no stabilizer, there is a rotating LCD screen, shutter speed, video recording and even Wi-Fi. The battery, according to the manufacturer, is enough for 420 photos. A bunch of modes and settings are included.

Judging by the reviews, the quality of the videos and photographs is excellent. There are so many settings that you can even take high-quality photos with limited lighting, if suddenly the automation does not cope well. At the same time, the device is lightweight and compact – ideal for travel. This is a fairly strong analogue to heavy DSLRs.

9th place – Fujifilm X30 (28-29.6 thousand rubles)

A bold camera from Fujifilm with an unusual design. There is a good X-Trans CMOS II matrix with a crop factor of 3.93 and a resolution of 12 megapixels. Its light sensitivity is 100-3200 ISO.

It is worth noting that this is an ordinary digital camera, but of very high quality and functionality. There is an optical stabilizer, and many shooting modes are available, including video recording in FullHD resolution at high speed. The maximum video recording speed is 250 fps. This camera is compact and lightweight, making it ideal for travel.

There are certain advantages:

  • Good optics;
  • Many focusing points;
  • Short turn-on time and high operating speed;
  • Lots of settings;
  • Electronic viewfinder;
  • Small size and weight.

10th place – Fujifilm X-A1 Kit (29,700 rubles)

There is an excellent matrix with a crop factor of 1.5, 16 megapixel resolution and a light sensitivity of 100-3200 ISO. There are many settings and modes available, as befits a multifunctional camera, but there is no stabilizer. The rate of fire is not bad - 5.6 fps, video is recorded at a speed of 30 frames per second. In general, nothing new.

Which type of technology do you prefer? Let's figure it out together!

Digital electronics are a very insidious thing. First of all, because you can’t immediately go to the nearest place of sale and buy the first equipment you like. This will be equivalent to putting a certain amount in the trash bin - the risk of encountering a low-quality product, or one that simply does not meet your requirements, is too great. To understand which camera is best to buy for an amateur, you need to know the theory and how to understand the characteristics of the device.

By default, we believe that the reader of this article understands the principles of working with photography and knows at least a few nuances of high-quality photography. But there are also those who are just starting their journey in this field of art or periodically strive to update their “piggy bank” of knowledge. We invite such people to familiarize themselves with the basic factors on which creating the perfect photograph in any conditions depends:

  1. Color spectrum– all color variations present in the photographs are formed by mixing three primary colors – red, green and blue. If the proportions are incorrect, the photograph may have a specific tint, for example, bluish or reddish. Some photographers like to use this feature to express their uniqueness, making it their signature feature. However, there are only a few such people; the majority prefer to see a normal color balance in each frame. Therefore, maintaining proportions is one of the fundamental points of a great photo.

A schematic example of mixing RGB colors (and this is only a small fraction of the shades!).

  2. Brightness– this characteristic is the “cornerstone” of absolutely any photograph. A good camera is able to correctly display the dark and light areas of the image, taking into account all the details. The best models allow you to display a reliable picture even at night, when the brightness is almost zero.

The photo is too dark - no facial features, no small details.

  3. Sharpness– maximum detail and the absence of blurred areas also serve as significant indicators of an excellent frame. The key to their presence is maintaining sharpness. However, its achievement is one of the most difficult even for professionals in their field.
  4. Photographer skills– as you might guess, this factor is important in any job. A beginner or pseudo-master is unlikely to achieve the desired result even with expensive and high-quality equipment. An experienced and skilled photographer, on the contrary, will be able to create the perfect photo even on a budget smartphone camera.

NOTE!

For maximum efficient setup color gamut, do not neglect such a parameter as “white balance”. It is able to adjust the shade depending on weather conditions or specific lighting in the room.

A professional “photography master” knows all the intricacies.

The most important and useful camera characteristics for those who want to buy a budget digital camera

All the parameters we described are achieved in the camera using certain characteristics laid down by the developers. When starting to choose an inexpensive camera with good quality photo, most people are faced with a problem in the form of an abundance of offered opportunities, which are actively flaunted by both manufacturing companies and various stores in their advertising. In fact, some of the functions have only practical meaning. What should you pay attention to first of all, what options will allow even an amateur to achieve good results?

Matrix type

98% of the entire modern photographic equipment market consists of digital devices. The processing and transformation of the image in them is carried out by a special microcircuit - a matrix. Most often in the camera you can find the following options:

NOTE!

The physical size of the matrix will also be important. The principle here is quite simple - the greater the length and width, the more light will fall on it. Accordingly, the user will receive a higher quality and more reliable image.

Visual theory and numbers in a convenient chart.

Light sensitivity (ISO)

As we said earlier, shooting at night or in low light is a real test for any device. And this is where the ability of the matrix to accept more or less light comes into play. different situations. In digital cameras, this feature is called photosensitivity. Most popular models operate in the range from 400 to 800 ISO, and believe me, this is quite enough for comfortable use. High performance Photosensitivity has “two sides of the same coin” - they are good in low light or when it is impossible to use a flash, but it will not be easy to choose a good angle.

High ISO results in so-called “noise”.

Aperture value (aperture)

Camera light is always “Alpha and Omega”. And another confirmation of this is the aperture ratio - throughput lens. In specifications it is traditionally denoted as f followed by a slash. With the value, everything is quite tricky - the smaller it is, the better the result. If you see an aperture ratio exceeding f/8, try to avoid buying - the best budget cameras will never be equipped with such an aperture.

Image stabilization

Sometimes people, when taking a camera to take pictures, may notice such an unpleasant effect as hand trembling. The results of this phenomenon are disastrous - a blurry and ugly photograph. The developers took this specificity into account by creating image stabilization technology. It can be digital or optical. The second option shows good effectiveness in all situations. Unfortunately, this characteristic is not always present in inexpensive models. However, try to choose products equipped with such a module.

The first frame was taken without optical stabilization, the second – with its use.

Optical zoom

We think most of you have used binoculars at least once in your life. This wonderful device not only became an object of attention for military personnel and romantics, but also to a certain extent served as the basis for a very important function of each camera - the ability to bring the image closer to the user. In photographic technology, this ability is called zoom (from the English zoom - scale). As with stabilization, there are two zoom options – optical and digital. The optical ability to zoom in on the image is of greatest importance. However, try not to chase a 20-30x zoom, since you will not be able to achieve the required quality of the desired frames at high magnification.

Digital zoom is less effective than optical zoom.

Autofocus available

Each photograph contains the main elements of composition for which you pick up a camera (except, perhaps, for large panoramic landscapes, but this is the exception rather than the rule). In order for this object to be most clearly visible, autofocus is necessary. The cheapest products are mostly equipped with an obsolete contrast option - try to forget about it and ignore such offers. A more practical solution would be to choose phase detection autofocus. Some models are equipped with a hybrid modification, but they are not found so often.

Autofocus will allow you to use the “Bokeh effect” - blurring the background.

Types of budget cameras, their advantages and disadvantages

Thanks to the efforts of engineers, the number of available photographic devices of various levels is growing every year. Offers that were previously only relevant to real professionals are gradually evolving. Some are so strong that their purchase is possible even for entry-level photographers or ordinary hobbyists. What types of inexpensive cameras with a good camera are worth choosing by smart buyers?

Compact digital cameras

Most of the models that we will consider in the future are located in this segment. Every large and small electronics store has at least a dozen available options. And if you search among the proposals on Internet resources, the list will be larger than all four volumes of War and Peace. Among all the colorful diversity, the following modifications of compact cameras can be distinguished:

ViewAdvantagesFlaws
"Soap dish" category "full automatic"Low cost, simplified photography system, compact size.A minimal set of functions and settings, mediocre image quality, short service life.
Soap dish with expanded functionalityA wider range of capabilities and modes, good hardware and optics, compact dimensions. The cost is higher than the previous option, there are still not enough resources for high quality images.
“Soap dish” of the “Ultrazoom” categoryGood complete optics, the best quality indicators among all point-and-shoot cameras.Even higher price, when zoomed in too far, the quality of the pictures is simply terrible.

Amateur-level DSLR cameras

As we said earlier, some professional devices are slowly moving into the mid-price segment. For the average person who does not strive for an ideal display of what he sees, the offer to buy such a camera is unlikely to arouse enthusiasm. But for true connoisseurs and hobbyists, buying a budget “DSLR” will be the fulfillment of another cherished desire.

ViewAdvantagesFlawsExample of a typical "representative"

Helenashch, Belarus, Minsk: “Advantages: shooting at high ISOs, modern processor, sensor without a low-pass filter, interchangeable lenses.

Disadvantages: if you understand the settings, then no.

In general, Nikon D3300 is my first DSLR. Nikon camera The D3300 is positioned as an entry-level device, so to speak, for future professionals. If you, like me, have not used it before digital camera, then you will definitely like the Nikon D3300 and it will seem like a very professional camera.

A DSLR camera like Nikon D3300 is better for taking photographs of objects that cannot be captured on conventional cameras. Such, for example, as photographs of the night starry sky. But here you need a tripod.

In general, any SLR camera requires the use of manual settings and maximum participation of the photographer in the process. If you are not going to spend part of your time studying the settings, then in this case it is better not to purchase such a camera. It is better to buy a digital camera with automatic settings or a smartphone with a good camera. If you have the desire and ability to understand the settings well, you can take excellent photographs in the future.”
