  4. Time for last reviews. The less time ago the last reviews were left, the greater the impact they have on the rating.

These are the main factors taken into account when constructing the rating, but not all that are used by us. Based on these factors, the rating is generated automatically. We can adjust it manually, taking into account the following factors:

  1. Reviews without ratings. We focus on the nature of the review, on what people write - words of gratitude, neutral attitude, dissatisfaction, etc.
  2. Agency activity. We look to see if news, new materials, vacancies and other data are published on the agency website. Let's look at what positions agencies occupy in the search results of Yandex and Google.
  3. Agency activity over a long period of time. An agency whose reviews are published evenly over several months will have a higher rating than an agency whose reviews are published all at once within 1-2 days.

The rating was updated automatically once a day. In manual mode, the rating is corrected no more often than once every three months, since manual moderation requires time and effort. Rating algorithms change over time. We strive for objectivity and reliability.

"Results of the VII Research of the Moscow recruitment market conducted by the magazine Personnel Management

A surprising fact of the annual VII Recruitment Market Research was a significant increase in the number of Russian companies using the services of recruitment agencies. Last time, out of 1,200 large Moscow firms, about 600 indicated in their questionnaires the names of large-rated recruiting agencies and rated their quality of work well. This time there were 200 more of them, i.e. 800. The increase was mainly due to Russian companies. Growth leaders are IT companies and car dealers.

The specificity of the study, as before, is that the respondents are real and former clients Moscow recruitment agencies that evaluate the quality of services and the quality of selected personnel on a 10-point scale.

Our methodology for calculating ratings fundamentally consists of taking into account the number of selected specialists. For example, agency X was rated 7 points for 1 vacancy and 9 points for 2 vacancies. With a normal calculation, we would get an average score of 8 points (we did this in the distant first study), but in this case we count differently: 7*1 + 9*2. So, we divide 25 points into 3 vacancies: a total of 8.3. Thus, evaluations of companies where agencies filled more vacancies have more weight. And rightly so.

80% of companies presented their lists to us; the rest can, of course, claim that they actually have many times more clients. We won't argue with them. But this is unlikely because:

  1. most companies work with several highly rated recruiting agencies;
  2. it is unrealistic to retain an exclusive customer today, since more than 300 Moscow agencies are “attacking” the market very actively, leaving almost no company unattended;
  3. Today, all serious companies are forced to turn to the services of recruiting agencies (selection, HR consulting) - in Russia there is a real battle for talented and successful managers.

The purpose of the study is to identify the scale of the Moscow recruitment market, the real level of personnel outsourcing in large companies, new trends and, bottom line, the best among recruitment agencies in Moscow and the Russian Federation.

Study VII also shows the scale of work of Kelly Services, although, again, we did not set out to rank the scale of companies. Our goal is an average assessment of the quality of service and “along the way” identifying leaders.

So, what do readers want from research, i.e. Russian companies who sometimes use the services of recruiting agencies? They want to see all agencies together in one table and, above all, compare their average performance ratings for the quality of service and candidates. But there is one paradox here: the larger the recruitment agency, the more difficult it is for it to maintain the quality of service at the highest level.

Many agencies with up to 10 clients receive the highest ratings because they work almost exclusively and manage to keep control over the work of their consultants. And the more worthy of respect are agencies that, while increasing their scale, maintain the quality of their services.

Some respondents complained to our marketers that some of the leading leading agencies were very slow to start searching for candidates and were unable to close positions in almost half of the cases.
