Literary festival “In the land of magical poems by S.Ya. Marshak”, was held in the Central Children's Library (Polyarny). At the same time, in the “Family” department, other young polar residents participated in the kaleidoscope of stories “The House That Marshak Built.” The children guessed the works from passages, made identikit photographs of the characters, and used the items from the magic chest to find out their owners.
Snezhnogorsk librarians carried out the event on a larger scale and visited kindergarten No. 8 “Yakorek”. Three groups - more than 60 kids - listened with great interest about the wonderful writer, whose poems almost every child knows, solved riddles, got acquainted with the alphabet in verses and pictures “About everything in the world.” At the end of the event, teachers were given booklets about the writer and methodological material specially released for the event by the Murmansk Regional Children's and Youth Library, which will help in conducting classes on the works of the children's writer.
In the City Children's Library of Gadzhievo they held a poem “My favorite children's poem”. The writer's famous poems were printed on paper and attached with clothespins to a rope. The Niva Library joined the action by holding a literary meeting “Visiting Marshak” for preschoolers. A literary lesson for preschoolers and an hour of poetry “The Good Wizard Marshak” for schoolchildren were held at the Tuloma Model Rural Library. On the streets of the city, volunteers interviewed 66 people, 15 children and 51 adult residents of Olenegorsk answered the questions.
Among the children, the most recognizable in the portraits was S. Ya. Marshak - 5 people (33%), then K.I. Chukovsky - 4 people (26%), G. H. Andersen identified - 3 people (20%). Unfortunately, the children did not recognize A.S. Ryzhov. But they promised to look into the library for his book “Three in a Dungeon.”

Libraries of the Shatura district took part in the international event “IV Poetry Day of S.Ya. Marshak in children's libraries", organized by the Voronezh Regional Children's Library with the support of the Department of Culture Voronezh region. The date of the international event - October 27, 2016 - is dedicated to the birthday of S.Ya. Marshak (November 3).
The main idea of the event is the reading of the poet’s poetic works by representatives of several generations of lovers of his work. The main goals of the action are to popularize the creative heritage of S.Ya. Marshak, a native of the Voronezh region, expansion of international and interregional cooperation, as well as social partnership.
On October 27 at 10.00, young readers of the Shatura inter-settlement regional library, pupils of MBDOU No. 25, went on a literary journey “The House That Marshak Built”. The children were presented with an electronic presentation “Samuil Yakovlevich Marshak”, including children’s and family photographs of the poet, photographs of his meetings with children and speeches before a children’s audience. Library workers using electronic presentation, introduced the children to the biography of the writer and his books. The dramatization game based on the poem “The Wolf and the Fox” performed by the teachers aroused great interest. Having put on costumes, they transformed into the heroes of the work. The event ended with watching the cartoon “Where the Sparrow Dined,” based on a poem by S. Marshak.

On October 26, employees of the Family Reading Library invited 2nd grade students from school No. 3 in Pskov to take part in the literary game “A Journey through the Land of Poems by S.Ya. Marshak."
Schoolchildren were invited to go along the magical paths of S.Ya. Marshak.
The journey began with a “mysterious” path, where the children guessed riddles written by the poet, and also visited a “zoo” based on the work “Children in a Cage.”
The “fairytale” path introduced the children to some of the writer’s fairy tales; moving along it, the children were asked to assemble a puzzle with the name of Marshak’s fairy-tale work, thus they became acquainted with the fairy tales “Cat’s House”, “The Tale of the Stupid Mouse”, “Mail”, “Luggage” , “He’s so absent-minded,” “Mustachioed and striped.”
A book exhibition was prepared in the leisure and reading hall, where schoolchildren could get acquainted with the collections and individual publications of S.Ya. Marshak.
At the end of the event, the audience was read a wish from S.Ya. Marshak to young readers:
I wish you to bloom, grow, accumulate, and improve your health.
It is the most important condition for a long journey.
May every day and every hour bring you something new.
Let your mind be kind and your heart be smart.

On October 27, the LiK Children's Library, together with MDOU No. 33, took part in the international event “V Day of Poetry by S.Ya. Marshak in children's libraries."
The children were introduced to the life and work of one of the most widely read children's poets, the author of numerous translations from English, Irish, Italian, French, Lithuanian and other languages.
There was a loud reading of the fairy tale “The Tale of the Smart Mouse”; the children really liked the hero-mouse, who was able to escape and outwit everyone. Together we read the alphabet aloud in verse “About everything in the world”, and then watched the cartoon “He’s so absent-minded.”
At the end of the meeting, the guys took part in a physical education session “About Animals”.
