website: Should you, as the president of the company, think about this? Usually, top officials are concerned only with the profitability of the company, expanding its business, fighting competitors, and such “particulars” as the mood of the staff are of no interest to anyone ...

Shamil Shakirov: You can build a business only with the team that is an ally and friend. If you do not give a person the opportunity to open up, it is difficult to count on such an employee. A person who does not have his own ideas, with great difficulty implements others.

It is impossible to force someone to implement ideas if he does not share them. Uniting people begins to work effectively when people become like-minded people. If one person thinks in a company, and the rest are engaged in the embodiment of his ideas, then this company will have to wait a long time for success. All the most important events, as world experience shows, were carried out precisely by close-knit companies of like-minded people.

At the same time, it is clear that it is necessary to enable a person to concentrate on what he does best, and to provide support so that others believe in his abilities. A person working in an "uncomfortable" state will never be able to create and invent something original. But the potential of employees consists of competitive advantage companies. Sooner or later, customers will also feel such qualitative changes. Therefore, the issue of management is key for me.

website: When was it easier to manage a company then or now? Can you easily delegate serious matters to your subordinates today, or do you strive to control them as much as possible?

Shamil Shakirov: You know, probably, when it's easier and simpler it's not always more interesting. And vice versa: the more difficult the more attractive. Now the company is able to do more complex projects. This is probably the most important task to build a team that will allow each "player" to significantly expand their capabilities and fulfill themselves by solving increasingly complex tasks.

A company with a high level of projects and a high proportion of services does not operate like a simple distributor. It's more like a big symphony orchestra performing strictly according to the score. This is reminiscent of a jazz band concert, where everyone is quite independent, where everyone improvises on a given topic. And at the same time a worthy composition is born! Here the most important factors are the "teamwork" of the team, trust in each other, the universality of each and understanding of the common task.

We have the opportunity to exchange views, because the element " brainstorming” and an outside perspective can bring something new to the project, and the experience of colleagues can be very useful. Arguments and sometimes intuition of experienced employees deserve attention. The exchange of views allows you to choose the right solution. Therefore, it is probably more correct to speak not about control, but about joint collective creativity.

At the same time, we have many complex projects and the responsibility for them is quite high. Behind the client companies are specific people who have placed their trust in us. Therefore, subconsciously, I want to control these processes, because we are talking about my personal responsibility for the project to people whose opinion and attitude towards me I highly appreciate.

website: How has the structure of the company changed in the process of its transition from "pure integration" to consulting?

Shamil Shakirov: It cannot be said that one day we decided: that's it, from today we are engaged in consulting. The transition was gradual: new directions appeared in the company, some of which developed more actively and had a significant impact on the company as a whole. This is what happened with consulting. On the one hand, employees appeared, whom we position as consultants, transferring their knowledge and experience to the customer. On the other hand, the culture within the company has changed: knowledge, experience, and expertise have become more valued. The same applies to customers. Projects have become more complex, our readiness to conduct such projects has become higher.

In fact, today we sell our knowledge and experience. We are actively developing the project office of the company. We have received the ISO 9001 quality certificate for our services. Today, more than half of the company are highly qualified consultants, technologists, and engineers. Conducting projects in the field of transfer of professional knowledge and experience affects the work of the project office of the company as a whole.
